Going to Grant Park symphony concert. Can’t beat the location.
Kitchen was extremely slow. Took 30 minutes to get an iced tea. Our waitress did not seem to be the problem. It took way too long to get our food, and when it did get there, we had to wolf it down, because we were seeing a play (we told the waitress about this when we placed the order). Additionally, the bathrooms were out of order, or only one was available for men and women, resulting in a huge line the entire time we were there, making impossible to use.
I was in Chicago for a concert at Millennium Park. Perfect venue to eat before the concert and enjoy the people watching while sitting on their terrace.
Ordered the fish tacos, no flavor, hated them. Other's food was the same. Service was good but the food was not good at all, shame cause we have eaten dinner there a few times and always enjoyed it. Shame cause now I don't know if I can trust going back for dinner in the future.
Always very happy with the Park Grill - very nice and excellent value
Our server was very engaging. Our dessert came out late and we had trouble getting the correct utensils so she comped it without our even asking. The food - turkey sandwich, salads, and sea bass - was very good. The dessert "cookie" was a bit overdone.
The service was great, food tasted fabulous, food came fast, unique options on menu. Seated quickly and done eating within an hour.
Really nice place for a lunch in the middle of Chicago! We opted to sit on the patio and it was nice and shaded, despite the warmer temps. We had some really good food - the chicken cobb salad and a burger. Both were really good, the burger was juicy, and the fries were really thin, which I like. We came around 1 p.m. during the week and it wasn't very busy at all. Good service too!
Food and service was terrific, but I would like to see a greater choice of entrees.
It is a lovely restaurant. Its main drawback is the lack of restrooms. There is always a line for the bathroom and that line can be fairly long.
The food was very average. There were 2 unisex bathrooms, so the line was very long each time I had to take my children to the bathroom. And the hostess staff was quite rude when I requested to be seated outside. I would not return here. I think they know that no matter what they have it is all about location.
It took a while to get service. Decent wine selection and we lucked into half off bottle night. Bonus!! However, the food was mediocre. Steak was diner esque and not prepared well. Medium rare was served more like well done and the cut wasn’t great. The dessert was disappointing.
Everything was off...food, service, ambiance. Way over priced for quality of food. I wouldn’t recommend this place to someone I disliked.
Its location is perfect for attending the Grant Park Symphony....food items delicious.
Had a great meal and wonderful servers.
My wife and I have been here once prior, and it was an amazing experience. This return trip fell a little below our standards after the last visit. First off, when we were ordering our drinks we showed our theatre tickets, and our waiter was not informed that we receive a free glass of wine, so went to get verification. After about 15 minutes he finally returned with our glasses of wine and took our food order. We ordered the Oysters and the Cheese Curds as the appetizers and there were so many cheese curds we couldn't finish them all as we needed room for our entree, and the bottom cheese curds were so covered in grease it would have made us sick. My wife ordered the Cheeseburger which was flavorless, and I had the a la carte Mac&Cheese and Parm Fries which were both really great. For dessert we split the Cheesecake (amazing) and the Mango Sorbet (delicious). Had this been our first experience, we probably wouldn't come back, but given our first experience, I would certainly try again, but on a less busy night as it was extremely loud.
Ordered the Park Grill Chopped Salad and was disappointed. It was a big bowl of chopped lettuce with very sparse toppings for $15. Very overpriced and poor value in my opinion. The ambiance of the outdoor patio is lovely, however the dining room lacks ambiance. Very good, friendly service.
Food was okay. Turkey sandwich lacked flavor. Drinks were very weak.
Food servers brought out a duplicate appetizer and dinner. Service was slow. Staff seemed disorganized.
The tuna dinner at $29 should have had some potatoes on the plate. sandwiches at a much less lower price point have potatoes or salad included in their plate ..
Loved our lunch here. We had 10 diners and the service was excellent. Can’t go wrong with any of their salads
Met a friend for dinner, and we all decided on the steak frites. They were uniformly excellent, quite tender (much more so than in my past experience), and with very good fries. Soups and salads also very good. The noise level was low enough for fairly easy conversation. Recommended
Good spot close to The Bean and Millenium Park. The food was good but not over the top. There should be a few more selections for dessert. Only two single stall bathrooms (unisex) caused a waiting line during my visit. Staff was very friendly and attentive. It was a little dark inside for my taste and not much of a view. Overall good spot for a quick meal if you are attending a function or activity in the park.
I brought a friend to Park Grill and felt that the hospitality extended to us was as though or even better than I brought her into my home. We had a great meal with attentive service. What more could one want?
There was a FLY in my salad. And not the first salad that came out, my first salad came out with cheese all over it- which I had specifically requested without dairy because of an allergy. I would NOT recommend this restaurant.
Excellent service and the food was very good.
Disappointed. When Park Grille first opened I remember being very impressed by everything - it has since gone down hill. Our appetizer came out very quickly, which was good except we didn't receive our drinks until after the appetizer was finished. I like to enjoy my wine a bit before the food comes out. The tacos were bland, my husband's steak, ordered Medium, was extremely rare. My son ordered the blood orange sorbet and instead received some other orange flavored sorbet - even the waitress sd didn't you order the blood orange? Then she admitted they must have been out and just substituted the next closest flavor. The bathrooms were incredibly filthy and disgusting. Won't be recommending nor will I be going back --- very expensive meal for the lack luster experience
The place is very conviniently located. We visit it often. This time the servoice needed prompting morw then usual. The food was good and as expected. The noise level was higher than usual, we would prefer a quieter place for conversation. In general - perfect location for before the theater-symphony dining. Reliable food quality. Good ambience.
We had a delightful lunch with a wonderful cocktail at the Park Grille. We sat outside on a beautiful day. I had a wonderful shrimp cocktail and my friend a great salad. Our server could not have been nicer! It is a little pricey, but then it is in pretty perfect location in the city!
This was our first time there and the asparagus and macaroni and cheese sides were the best I’ve ever had! The service was great from the person who set us, our waiter, and to the person who fills the water! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Service was very slow. Waited 45 minutes for one drink meals were served quickly. Asked for coffee and no spoons were available. Prices high and menu limited. Never again!
touristy but nice place
enjoyed the free wine from theater ticket
Soft-shell crab tacos were a-maz-ing. Crabs were perfectly seasoned and crisp and juicy inside. Also enjoyed the calamari appetizer. Had it before, and this was consistent. Crisp, perfectly cooked inside, and deliciously presented. A friend had the crab cake app and ahi tuna main course. Raves all around!
Always a fun lunch in the city destination. Great Bloody Mary’s.
We picked this restaurant because it was relatively close to a concert we were going to later in the evening. The menu looked wonderful, but my pasta and asparagus with white sauce was very salty!! My guests said the burgers were very good . I wish there was a bean burger tho! The salad with the burgers was very small not even a handful of lettuce. Average price for downtown dining but I’ve had better. Our server didn’t have much a personality. The bathroom had only 2 stalls so there was a line the whole time we were there!
Initial service took 15 minutes for acknowledgment and then another 10 for water. Then the club salad was very light on chicken.
Food was okay. Fries were plenty but saturated with salt, burger was okay.
Everything was okay..
Good service, well attentive server. Burger was fine. Noise level was better inside near the bar than closer to the windows or outside. Annoying dance music and was way too loud. Can’t imagine anyone having a decent conversation outside.
