In town to see Hamilton. Thought this would be a nice location to take in some iconic attractions. The dinner just kind of fell flat starting with the service which was underwhelming bordering on rude. We felt like a bit of an inconvenience. Food was ok but nothing to get excited about. My daughter liked the fries and thought the turkey sandwich was flavorful despite the tomatoes she requested to be removed from the order. Great location with some views of the ice rink from our table.
Great for people watching! Food was good & the beer selection had more options than usually available. AND it was happy hour! Service was good & waitstaff was very helpful. We were able to eat & get to the play without being rushed.
The waiter had s rough night, restaurant seemed disorganized on who’s section we were in. Food came at different times as well.
Food was okay. Waitress was good, but host was awful.
We really enjoyed the experience here as it was right next to the ice skating rink. There was a bit of a misstep with seating and our reservation but once that was sorted out, things went smoothly. The service was good but a little slow at times. It is very busy during the holiday season so we were understanding.
Our waitress was slow to bring our drinks and very fast to bring our dinners. I had asked for a quiet table (one of the group is hard of hearing.) They seated us right by the bar which was very noisy.
Everything was very good except for the menu choices. Just wish they could add a few meat choices, and pastas to the menu.
Sadly, our dining experience wasn't great... They forgot one of the three pretzels we ordered. They forgot to get my wife a refill on her Pepsi. And they left full uncracked peppercorns on our steaks, which tasted like they had been bathed in salt... Needless to say, this restaurant's great atmosphere is wasted.
My first but not last time dining at the Park Grill! Food was so good, fresh and delicious. The hostess was great answering all my questions, very professional. I met friends and we had a lot of catching up, we lingered at our table and we‘re not rushed to leave at all. Elevator takes you right down to grant park garage. I’ll be back:) !!!
Was really looking forward to our evening at Park Grill and came away less than impressed. Service was far from great. Restaurant seems to be more about the location than food or service.
Wait for service was long, they could not or would not exchange fries for a salad. Burgers were dry and overcooked, while the steak ordered for medium was very rare. Waiter was friendly and helpful.
Great food but pricey. We sat by the bar and it was noisy.,
Great location (especially during the winter with the ice skating rink outside) and food was excellent. Service was exceptional and very attentive.
Right in the heart of Millennium Park - great place to enjoy a good meal while watching the fun outside, especially when the skating rink is open. Nice mix of entrees, sandwiches, and burgers, and a comprehensive wine list. Portions are generous. Highly recommend the pretzel appetizer! Service on a Saturday night was quick enough to get you to the theater.
Good for families, can seat large parties. Good and fresh ingredients in food.
We stopped in for mid-afternoon snacks and wine, as a break between shopping and looking at Macy’s holiday windows. The staff was very friendly, and all went out of their way to be helpful. The wine list was robust, and there was a good selection of starters/salads. We had four starters - one with hummus/seasoned sauteed vegetables, one with guacamole/specially seasoned large crisps, one with hot pretzels/two dips, and a unique “chopped salad” (we added chicken). My descriptions don’t do justice to the food, so I recommend checking out the menu. Nothing was “ordinary” - each dish was unique, nicely seasoned, and beutifully plated. Each had a modest amount of food (think tappas), so the four starters together were the right amount of food for a light afternoon snack for three. The venue is festive year-round, but especially charming during the winter months when you can see the ice rink/skaters right outside the front windows of the restaurant.
The restaurant is in horrible condition and badly maintained. Food was good but a few of the people with us received cold food. Ugh!
We loved our meal at Park Grill! My sister and I had delicious cocktails, and the waiter made great recommendations. He also worked with us extensively to ensure that our dietary restrictions were met with what we ordered, and everything was very tasty. We will definitely be back.
Great meeting point to bring out of town guests - watch the skaters as you dine and then see the Millenium Park Christmas tree. Don't forget your skates : one rink and a skating ribbon to enjoy.
Also no problem sitting a large party. Loved the cozy fireplace.
I met a friend for lunch and it was a good experience. The food was great and the service perfect!
Perfect pre-concert dinner venue. The burgers were perfect in all respects. Love the Quartino wine option.
I really enjoy the look of the Park Grill. Service and food were both good. Reasonably priced. I’ll go back.
Not as fancy as I had expected, feels for like fast casual than fine dining. Best when outdoor seating is available.
The Park Grill was a great place to have a casual dinner before our concert. Food was nicely prepared and service was great. We took advantage of the Thursday evening Happy Hour - the bartender was friendly.
The noise level was far too loud. A large party was seated just next to our cozy booth, ruining our conversation. :-( Otherwise, food was great, wine wonderful and the service impeccable!
We had 7:30 tickets at the Auditorium Theater and we should have told our server that we had a time line, but also servers should be aware that the Auditorium isn’t far away and, maybe, could ask if that’s a consideration.
The bartender didn't know how to make a French martini, it was terrible. Last time we were there, they were good. I wish we were told he didn't have ingredients or didn't know how to make one-Google, anyone??- and I could have switched to something else. Anyway, my crab cake was lukewarm, the side salad was, meh. It was close to work, and was not busy. There was a small group of people at the bar watching the Bears game. One woman kept screaming and yelling. Other than that, it was quiet.
Pre theater dinner. Crab cakes were tasty and large. Great value for the $.
Havent been to Park Grille in a while. Great ro be back! Good pre-show dinner - restaurant was hopping with pre-marathon events but staff things under control.
We came in soaked from a sudden rainstorm. Our waitress Theresa was a true gem- friendly, informative and wonderful with our grandchildren. It was our grandson’s 10th birthday and she made the occasion a very special one!
We made an online reservation for 9:30 pm, from the restaurant website. When we got there, the restaurant was closed. They were in clean up mode. Very frustrating.
Cannot comment on quality of food, etc.
We enjoyed a pleasant meal with great service. Food is always good. Nice to have s date with my husband. We were able to relax, talk and share some wonderful food.
My husband & I dined before seeing Hamilton Musical in celebration of our 40 yr wedding anniversary. It was a great choice timely & delicious. Especially enjoyed the Cultural Mile salad very unique and the flatbread pizza was also very good. My husband enjoyed a huge angus burger❤️
Food was pretty good, but the service could have been better. For reasons unknown, it took a long time to get sweetener for my iced tea. I was looking at a dish full of it on a neighboring table, and I should have just gotten up and asked the party there if they could spare a few yellow envelopes..... for that is what the waiter did after I asked a few times for it. The overhead heater was going. Took a bit for someone to figure out how to turn it off. But the food was pretty good.
Wonderful food and service.
Fantastic Burger / Fries
Salads are unique and flavorful.
A great value
Got there 530p and no problem getting outdoor seating, was a beautiful day. We had our adult kids and 2 year old grandson with us, outdoor seating was perfect for both the weather and a small child, would not recommend the quiet indoor seating if you have kids with you. Our waiter was great, made recommendations with his personal experience of having a toddler, much appreciated! Food was good, though Ahi Tuna rub was too salt/spicy, burger was great, roasted cauliflower was excellent. Met our needs perfectly for outdoor dining after day at the Shedd!
The food selections were good, we ended up splitting an entree and had side salad and soup and split a dessert. The food tasted very good. Service was slow and had to ask for mustard three times. The wait staff were friendly but not too attentive.
Food was good. On the edge of Millennium Park and close to Art Institute.
IT WAS A LADY'S DAY IN CHICAGO AND WE HAD AN EXCEPTIONAL WAITRESS, VERY FRIENDLY, HELPFUL AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, VERY EFFICIENT. THE FOOD SELECTIONS WERE GREAT FOR LUNCH, HOWEVER, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE BASIC SANDWICH SUCH AS TURKEY. TOO DIFFICULT TO EAT COMFORTABLY AND TOO OVER POWERING FOR A SANDWICH. SOMETIMES, LESS IS MORE. ONE OF THE PARTY HAD THE CRAB CAKE AND ABSOLUTELY RAVED ABOUT IT, ANOTHER THE WHITE FISH (HOWEVER COMMENTED TOO MUCH TO EAT FOR LUNCH) AND WAS TAKEN WITH THE PREPARATION AND FLAVOR. SALAD WAS EXCEPTIONALLY WELL DONE, CHOPPING THE LETTUCE IN A MANAGEABLE SIZE MADE IT PLEASURABLE TO EAT AND VERY TASTY. WITHOUT QUESTION ANOTHER FUTURE VISIT IS VIABLE.
