I want to compliment the Park Grill for an outstanding experience. I planned to have four people at lunch and it turned into 9. They adapted immediately, provide excellent service and food and everyone was delighted.
Went with 7 friends for dinner. Made a reservation same day. Restaurant was half full when we arrived, and the patio was nearly empty. We asked to sit on the patio, but were told it would be an hour wait. There was no one waiting to be seated, so we couldn’t figure out how there was an hour wait for an empty patio. We agreed to immediate seating indoors. Our server came to our table 15 minutes later. Our waiter didn’t stop running all night, he must have had 3 different sections. They obviously were short staffed at least on wait staff. Food was delicious, and thankfully we weren’t in a rush. I’d go back once more, but if service stays the way it was tonight, then I’ll go elsewhere. Good food in Chicago is easy to find!
Old-school, upscale grill kind of place. Thin fries and burgers, seafood, that kind of thing. I liked it a lot.
Food was very good and all of our special requests were accepted.
Went with my elderly parents. It was great in there since they have a hard time hearing - i'm sure the early hour helped (5pm) as I've been there before when it was packed. The servers were kind and friendly. Food was great, everyone enjoyed their meal, even my dad who has something to say about everything!
it had a very good menu with accessible prices. our dishes were amazing.
The Park Grill is a good choice if you're in Millennium Park. We dined on a Friday evening before a concert in the Pavillon. My friend had the fish tacos. She thought these were very good. I had the tomato soup, which I did not enjoy. It was more like heated barbecue sauce with oil floating on top. The service was good. We were able to get out in time for our performance.
We used to dine at Park Grill a few times each summer for years. After taking a 2 year hiatus we returned to take advantage of the warm weather and dine alfresco. We noticed a change in the quality of the food and the dining experience. The tables are no longer covered in white tablecloths and the outdoor tables themselves are dirty due to the construction design....the cracks are ad with old food! The menus are unbelievably worn and dirty. It might sound petty...but it's just not classy like it used to be. The quality of the servers, as a well has gone down. No matter what we said or ordered, it was always "OK, no problem". I asked for the check and the response.. "OK, no problem". Ask for water..."OK, no problem".
On to the food... the food is just mediocre... nothing special or notably flavorful. It seems like it just turned into a quick tourist destination, sad to say.
We made a 9pm reservation. Received a confirmation call with a gentle suggestion that we review the menu and be ready to order upon arrival, as the restuarant closed at 9:30pm. We went expecting to be rushed, but instead we received warm and attentive hospitality, no rush at all. Our late night snack of calamari was great too.
Restaurant is somewhat run down, does not have the environment to support the pricing of its menu. Our appetizer of calamari was well cooked, but the sauce was essentially just thousand island dressing billed as an aioli. With al la carts sides, we asked about portions and the waiter recommended more than was remotely necessary causing a higher bill with way too much food, though the food would’ve been wasted no matter what because we did not have the desire to finish it. One of our party had the lamb, which was overcooked with flavor combinations that were all over the place. I had seafood enchiladas which I’m not even sure where to begin how much I didn’t like - from the quality of the seafood (overcooked, no restaurant should ever ever use bay scallops for anything ever — if you aren’t going to use sea scallops don’t bother with scallops at all) to the terrible preparation (untoasted flour tortillas + sauce = gummy, squishy mess). Overall it was the worst restaurant we ate at in Chicago and didn’t even finish our meal. We both joked that it was essentially an overpriced Applebee’s and we should’ve just ordered pizza to our room and saved $120.
This was our first time at Park Grill. The location couldn’t be better. The food was really good! The burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly. The salmon was very good. The service was excellent!! We will definitely return for another dinner when we are in the city.
Restaurant wasn’t crowded but rarely saw our waiter.
Terrible service. Fish tacos were bland, no taste at all. Our waiter brought soup with our meal instead of before. Service staff didn't pick up our plates until way after we finished. Server didn't offer dessert, we had to get his attention before getting our check as if he forgot we were there. Terrible service overall. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Too dirty inside: floor, tables, menus, silverware, et.
Love the salads. Service is always great. We were welcomed back and everything was explained well. Usually quiet but jazz fest made it a bit noisier.
Great location and fantastic food. HIGHLY recommend the burrata appetizer and the turkey sandwich. Both were delicious!
We were seated in the sun which was tough but finally got someone's attention to move our table to an empty one out of the sun. The waiter took forever to come visit us, apparently a miscommunication with the hostess... so I would say, perhaps re-train said hostess to sit people in weather appropriate spots and make sure the waiter knows they are waiting (in the heat w/o water or anything to drink).
Our party consisted of locals and tourists everyone commented that their meals were delicious. A classy, conversation-friendly oasis in Millennium Park that is very reasonably priced for its Michigan Avenue location.
Very slow service even when not busy
This restaurant was so close to our hotel, almost missed out on eating here! Glad we did, it’s a little fancy, but we really enjoyed our meal.
Loved the Park Grill, great drinks and food. My only complaint would be the lines for the unisex bathroom. I was behind about three pre-teens more interested in playing in the restroom rather than getting on with things. Loved the ambiance of the 4-person booth, private enough not to overhear any other group's conversation.
service trop rapide. les entrées necsint pas arrivées en même telps pour tous les convives. mon fils a eu son entrée en même temps que son repas. on se sentait bousculé
Park Grill is a special, wonderful restaurant. Great food, great service, and, a lovely ambience. In the Summer you can look out at the Plaza and all the passersby and during the Winter you can look at the ice rink with so many folks having the time of their lives. Antonio was my server and he is always spectacular. This is a great place to go before the Grant Park Concerts during the Summer and the Symphony during the Winter.
Excellent place to go pre-concert in Millenium Park! Service was great, food was very good.

Hi wwlol Yu u
The food and service were fantastic! I’ll definitely go back!
We were a loud group with seniors and children. All our needs were met, no one shushed us, they would have been in their right to do so, and the young lady who served us was fantastic!!!
Great place to dine outside before a Grant Park Music Festival concert.
Very convenient to meet with friends, parking elevator stops next to restaurant entrance, and going to Millennium Park for concerts or other.
Sat us right next to a door that had a lot of traffic out to the patio. Door would bang against our table, wait staff and guests would have to squeeze around my seat. Requests made in OpenTable didn’t seem to be taken into consideration or just weren’t addressed. May have charged my card twice but waiting to see which charges will clear.
This restaurant is well located for any activities that you might be doing in Millennium Park. I often go here before a concert in the park. I gave the food a medium rating but I did not order the food that I love best because I was deliberately trying to cut down on calories on this particular day. The waitress named Theresa is so friendly, efficient, and accomodating ! She always makes it a pleasure to dine at Park Grill.
For a quick bite in a nice setting in busy Millenium, Park Grill is nice. We were seated next to a few large groups and it was really loud. This is the only downside. The food is always good, as well as the service.
Park Grill has a nice menu, with varied choices, in a great setting!
Overall it was a good meal but it was my least favorite meal of all the ones I ate in Chicago. The Moscow Mule was very good. The cauliflower appetizer was very spicy. The meal was expensive for the food we ate.
This was a bad experience. We were seated in a corner by where the staff gets dishes when there were other tables available with much better view and not a door that wouldn't stay closed when pushed. The waitress brings water to our table and it was warm and it's an upper 70s evening. The door where we were seated stayed open when anyone went through and encroached on our space. We left after we were served warm water. We didn't wait to be served food, it could have been poisonous for all we know. This is no way to treat customers and you expect better from a restaurant on Michigan Avenue.
We had a very nice meal for a large group (10 people) ranging in age from 2 to 80. Service was attentive, and apps, mains, desserts and drinks were tasty. We were there on a Friday at 5:15 pm when there was a huge music festival in the adjacent park - yet no delays in seating or any other problems. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is that a group our size could not be accommodated in the outdoor seating, which we would have preferred. (They said for outdoor seating the max party size is 6.)
A group of 4 friends were at the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Our server was amazing -- gave us excellent recommendations on food choices and surprised us with a dessert treat even though we hadn't made a big deal out of the celebration. Our drinks and food choices were fantastic. It was a perfect gathering!
The Park Grill is a great place to visit Summer or Winter. It's great to dine there before the Grant Park Concerts or the Symphony. During the Summer you can sit out on the patio and enjoy the Summer breezes. During the Winter you can sit inside near the windows and watch the ice skaters. The food, service and ambiance are wonderful.
I tried the special turkey burger and did not like it. I expected a little spice, but it was over the top. I ate the meat but not the bread and toppings. I also did not like the beer of the day. (I like most beers.) Guess I made bad choices. If I go back I will not have any of the specials.
Great food. Excellent service. Horrible loud music that destroys conversation. Why?
Food was okay-nothing out of this world. For a big tourist area and below Cloud Gate- I expected more. We had reservations and seated right away. The service was just terrible! The hostess gave us regular menus and were told there are no kids menu- but the waitstaff would verbally let us know. After about 15 minutes someone acknowledged us and came over and took our order. Our water glasses were never filled and our server never came to check on us after our food was delivered. We had to walk over and get the carafe of water ourselves and fill up our glasses- we did that a few times and our server watched us do it as he walked by our table at least six times. Unpleasant experience- I'd never go again. Lots of places nearby with better service.
