We had a great lunch with attentive and very friendly wait staff!!! Very convenient to the Harris theatre pre-Shen Yun.
The restaurant was empty when we got there. Service could have been a little bit better. Can't believe there wasn't a vegetable or small garden salad included with the special of the day. Refills on water or hot water were not offered. The angel hair shrimp scampi was ok. A lot of pasta & 6 smaller shrimp.
Good food (very good crab cakes), and good service. Not awesome
My wife and I went here before seeing a musical and it was delicious. I had the Chicken Parmesan, and my wife had one of the burgers. The service was fast and friendly, but I was surprised that the restaurant was very quiet and not busy around 5:30 PM on a Friday night, considering its near a huge tourist attraction. Location was great. Wine was amazing. We are coming back to Chicago in June and already have this restaurant planned to eat at again.
Service was good. Fries were very salty and our Bavarian pretzels were overdone. Food was average for price. Was an OK meal.
Great service! Delicious meal with good sized portions. Excellent bread basket. Classic restaurant in a memorable location under the Millineum Park Cloud Gate. Looking forward to another visit.
A very well run affordable restaurant, especially considering the location is smack dab in the middle of Millenium Park. Best to visit during off peak hours. We loved the cheese curds, crab cake, and black bean burger. The cheesecake was also excellent.
The food was fantastic except for the dry chicken in the Amish Chicken dinner. The dinner was comped which was nice. The other three dinners were fantastic. The server was not the best. She did not seem interested in her job and spilled the wine on my wife’s hand when providing the sample. At one point she buzzed by the table to see how we were doing. As she walked away, my wife advised that the chicken was dry. She then stopped to find out what our concerns were. I would definitely eat here again.
It’s nice to find a great restaurant in such a prime location. We took our Texas friends there when they came to visit and see Chicago.
Every time we go to Chicago, The Park Grill is a " must" for one of our meals! The food is great, the ambiance good not be better and the service is outstanding. We love to be there in the winter time and sit and watch the ice skaters outside the Grill. It is truly a signature spot in downtown Chicago for us!
Great food, great place. I would highly recommend.
Excellent dining spot in Millennium Park, especially in the winter with a window table facing the ice skating rink. Really good appetizers and burgers. Can be noisy, and if it is crowded service can be slow.
A homeless woman came to our table begging for money.
Good food, wine, cocktails, service, ambience, large portions, and good value.
Great food...great service...Jose was very good...catered to wifes allergies.
We had a great meal and followed it up with ice skating. Burgers are the best.
Somewhat impromptu dinner in the park—few blocks from our new home. By ice skating rink (which I didn’t expect). Very pleasantly surprised by food—fantastic beer batter cheese curds and mustard sauce—to die for. Hubby loved chicken noodle soup and his pork chop Milanese (a special), while I loved the burger made w 3 meats.... both enjoyed leftovers.... will definitely go back!
Food was good. Salman was undercooked.
sservice was good.
Unfortunately our dining experience was affected by our service. My husbands onion soup was excellent. Our entrees arrived lukewarm before he was half way through the soup. The taste was good but the temperature was too cold. Halfway through I asked why we had bread plates but no bread. It arrived 3/4 of the way through the meal. In the past we have had much better experience.
I'm a big fan of eating here, especially in the winter when the ice rink is open. I absolutely loved the Cultural Salad; I will return just to have this salad again. The service is great as is the atmosphere.
I had lunch with a friend and it was wonderful. A nice glass of wine, salads and sandwiches and we watched the ice skaters! Our waiter provided great service. The wine he recommended was good.
Perfect spot when heading for the Harris Theatre. Discount appreciated as a subscriber to Harris. Fireplace lovely on a cold day.
The food and service wss phenomenal!! The lobster Mac n cheese was a hit. Will definitely go back for that as well as the burger and delicious fries!! Everything was awesome!
The only vegan main course was a black bean burger. By 2018, most restaurants have evolved beyond only offering salads and veggie burgers for vegetarians and vegans. The cocktails were good and I still like the room and view of the ice rink outside. It's beyond time for casual dining places like Park Grille to offer some real vegan fare. It's not really that hard and people will appreciate it.
This restaurant was always one of our favorites, but were disappointed with the food this last visit. The food had to be sent back. The burger was very under done and the fries were cold. It wasn’t busy, so there was no excuse. Overall, a disappointing dining experience. There are too many other dining options in the area.
I'm from Denver, have visited the restaurant several times over many years since it is close, convenient and usually good atmosphere and food. this last time was really great: our waiter was friendly, courteous and shared great recommendations, and the food arrived quickly and was really good. We were in a business casual meeting for dinner and it worked so well! Thank YOU! MJWdR
Everything was perfect, our server was excelllent, etc. An extremely loud man was seated mid meal at the table directly behind us and then we were unable to have any kind of conversation, it was a huge distraction and we could not wait to leave. Too bad a manager could not have come out and dinw something about it.
We took our teenage daughter for a late Christmas Eve lunch. This restaurant is so perfect for a cozy holiday meal. Service, food, holiday décor (including the skating rink right outside) made for a memorable meal. Only one con experienced--a chilly dining experience because our booth was located near the restaurant entrance. It was such a nice experience that we are already talking about coming back next year.
Food, service and atmosphere were great. Will come back and recommend to friends.
A bit pricey but very worth it. Food is phenomenal and the ambiance is perfect for date night. Service was absolutely phenomenal.
Although the food tasted okay, it deviated significantly from how it was described on the menu. Portion sizes were inadequate. The server was impatient. Our entrees were delivered minutes after the appetizer was served. .There was no excuse for being rushed as the restaurant was nearly empty. This would have been unacceptable at half the price. I will never eat here again.
Perfect meal after ice skating. Burgers all around. Not like a fast food burger though. Family of 6 adults went ice skating for holiday festivities and this beautiful affordable restaurant was right there. No more parking the car. We enjoyed our dinner very much.
Great food and service. Drinks were also very good. Food took a long time to come out of the kitchen.
Uncooked fish, unpleasant sweet salad dressing & a dessert fruit cobbler with a crust we could not penetrate.
Park Grill used to be a good choice for pre-concert dinner but recent experience was disappointing. Food and service were good but ambience is TGI Fridays. Loud crowded and unpleasant.
Love coming here and watching the ice skaters.
Need more bathrooms--2 total for men and women is not enough.
Have eaten here many times when coming into the "Loop" for concerts and museum visits. Have never been disappointed.
We haven't been to Park Grill for a couple of years. Same great décor and location but I remember a much more interesting menu. I can't say that I'll be back or be recommending it. Even as a place to meet for drinks and appetizers, the offerings for food are definitely lacking considering the prime location.
Sorry . . . .
Excellent service and we loved our food. Great location. We love this place, but please ADD MORE RESTROOMS!!! Two individual bathrooms with one toilet each works for Starbucks, but not for a restaurant of your size.
