Park Avenue Winter

We called to let them know we would be a few minutes late. We were rushed through dinner and not allotted the 2 hours for dinner. The server asked us if we want to box our food soon after being served. The hostess was very rude upon arrival. I would not go back or recommend to anyone.
The ambience, service and choices were exceptional. The food unfortunately left a little to be desired. Go with whatever the waiter recommends and you will need to get a starter, entree and dessert as the entrees are the same size or smaller than the starters... Desserts were the best part. Going back for just those alone!
I love this place - brunch is so good and actually a great deal for everything you get.
Amazing service, delicious food and beautiful interior.
Lunch with mom
Great dining experience. Highly recommended.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed Park Avenue Winter for my 40th birthday celebration. The staff was courteous and prompt and accommodating to us (they allowed me to push the reservation to have a quick drink with friends at the bar). Food was outstanding, as were the drinks. The only thing I would say that was off was the music..it was like a funk , electric mix that played while we ate which is not my style and didn't seem to fit the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. Other than that we would definitely go back.
Some of us really enjoyed the meal, others not so much. The space is beautiful which definitely makes the experience pleasurable and compensated for the food deficiencies. First the good stuff: the broccoli and cheetos was so good, as was the salmon. Part of our negative experience came from our waiter. When asked if the brussel sprouts salad was raw or roasted, he said roasted, but it was raw. The waiter's description of the bronzino didn't match what was served, which was also disappointing. We were served very quickly, as if the dishes had been prepared in advance. They had a crowd waiting for tables as we left, so they were definitely trying to speed us along for their second seating. We sat in the back of the restaurant which is about 10 times louder than the main (middle dining) area. For the price, I wouldn't go back.
Everything’s excellent except our experience with the young guy who hosted us to the dinning room. He’s quite undisciplined and far from good manner.
Wonderful, as always!!
Great food, service and ambiance. Amazing experience with an excellent price point! We have already made reservations for our next trip to NYC in April!
Park avenue is always a favorite amongst my friend group so we went there for restaurant week. It was fairly crowded, which I guess is expected during restaurant week. Our table was also a little small for a party of 6 so there was a lot of shuffling when plates came out. The only real downside that prevented me from giving a higher rating on service was the host. He doesn’t look up from his computer so you have to start the conversation and aren’t sure if he’s replying to you or those around him because he doesn’t make eye contact. So except for the unwelcoming welcome, it is a great experience with outstanding food.
Love this place. Food is fantastic and the service is wonderful. Everything was absolutely delicious!
We are never disappointed whenever we dine at Park Avenue Winter. The food is great, the service always attentive, and the setting changes are very welcoming. Order "The Cube" for a very special Park Avenue desert. It's worth the $5:00 xtra-charge.
I visited Park Avenue during restaurant week - I do not know if it was because of that, but I found the overall vibe slightly hectic and loud. But the interiors were absolutely beautiful and the level of professionality demonstrated by our server was amazing. I cannot thank him more for allowing us to have such a great experience! The food generally was on the saltier side, but I think it's completely relative and other people may find it different.
Every thing was great!!
We were celebrating my birthday and it was the perfect place.
Thank you Steve
One of my favorite restaurants! Great for a date night or business lunch. 10/10
Enjoy the farm to the table menu.
Beautiful setting and wonderful food.
Overall, it was a great meal during Restaurant Week. It was a bummer to not be seated in the main dining rooms with the cool decor but the smaller designed room was OK.
Our table cloth had a big, dark mark smeared across it but it wasn't wet so we didn't say anything. The food was amazing so no complaints there!
The food there are amazing! I would strongly recommend the crab avocado toast and the fillet steak.
Very poor. We had dinner there on Thursday, February 7, 2019. When we arrived there, the Manager was rude. The restaurant was empty. My wife has back pain. We were forced to wait. When I had the Branzino, they forgot put the artichokes, mandarins and pistachios on my plate. We had a quiet room, which we like.
Pumpkin ravioli was okay but not great. Medium rare filet was overcooked, came with no side and had minimal options for sides to add on. Was not filled by three course meal. Service was good on that they kept my water glass mostly full but we were pressured to give up our appetizer plates prematurely and then the food still didn't come for another 20 minutes.
Friends and myself enjoyed a lovely lunch at Park Avenue Winter during Restaurant Week. We were looking for something different and we got it. The food was absolutely delicious, the decor was magical and the service impeccable. I would love to come back, but will wait for another Restaurant Week since it is a little pricey otherwise. However, overall...loved Park Avenue Winter!
Everything was really delicious except that the entree Branzino on Israeli couscous was served unevenly warm. One part of it was cold. I didn't send it back but I was surprised. Nevertheless, I like this restaurant for its food and ambiance.
Best Restaurant Week Lunch; food was really wonderful; our server professional, friendly & could not have been nicer. The room is beautiful & will look forward to another lunch sometime soon. With all of the dining options in NYC I m so glad I chose Park Avenue Winter. Great experience.
We attended Restaurant Week and had an amazing lunch. The selections were delicious, the service was great and the beautiful decor added to the experience.
Such a gorgeous restaurant and the idea behind not only being seasonal food wise but restaurant interior design wise is amazing. My boyfriend and I went to park avenue the other night for a small anniversary dinner, we waited at the bar for drinks and I think the bartender that had us was named jay and he was amazing and so sweet and made the best drinks. When the host/maitre D came to take us to the table I realized it wasn’t in the main dining room and Austin was so amazing and said to just hold on for a minute and got us the best seat in the house, he was so sweet and deserves a raise. Our server was knowledgeable and although tried to push us to purchase certain things like pairings and what not it was really amazing. We wound up having the restaurant week menu and the pumpkin ravioli, Filet Mignon and the desserts were amazing! We’re going to be back in a couple of weeks for another dinner!
Loved the ambiance of the place. It was the perfect spot to catch up with a friend and enjoy a slightly more upscale meal. The food was delicious and well portioned. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely come back!
This place was great! I came here during the week for dinner and it was delicious. We had the short rib and halibut for an entree which were delicious. I highly recommend coming here.
Celebrated my birthday here and was very pleased. We didn't wait that long for the table to be ready, and once we were seated the service was excellent. Chose the RW menu - crabcake and braised short rib was outstanding!
Waited 45 minutes for a table despite having a reservation. Instead of comping us our drinks they poured extra. We all wanted just one drink and would’ve preferred those to be free vs getting more that we did not want. And they didn’t offer us anything while we waited. Lousy customer service for a restaurant that should be better.
The restaurant NEVER fails in terms of food quality or service. It needs to do something about the NOISE level. I would go every week, if I didn’t have to yell to be heard. It is really an unattractive feature of the restaurant.
Great evening one of the best meals I recently had. I am a foodie and eat out regularly.
So far it is the best place for restaurant week.
Ahh, Park Avenue Winter (Spring, Summer, & Fall) to close out restaurant week. What could be better than meeting a blind date, who has the guts, style, and aplomb to plunge into a dinner commitment at Park Avenue Winter, with only an internet chat introduction and a handful of shared interests. While reservations can be hard to secure during prime time on short notice, if you'll settle for early, you can people-watch as others arrive. A perfect way to commiserate with a new companion.
The service is solid: from the hostesses and coat check, to the perfect 90 degree corner divan seating (corner seating is so much better than face-to-face, for first meetings), to the charming waiter. Sure, the bus-service swooped in a bit too aggressively, as they needed the table (having been the first to arrive), but the Park Avenue was jam packed for good reason, and we had tarried enough over the Hamachi Crudo and the Pumpkin Ravioli appetisers with conversation that was sprinkled with the life experiences that mimicked the ingredients and garnishes lightly applied to our dishes. We bantered on the advantages of living in European countries and the discovery of new genetic hominid branches or homo-sapiens, over the rich broiled Haddock with a truffle encrusted egg yolk, and Roasted Filet Mignon adorned with chanterelle(?) , (fine values even at the supplemental charge for the 'raunt week menu). We compared our love of winter outdoor sports over delightfully creative, cold-weather, desserts (who could resist a decadent "Sticky Toffee Pudding" or the "Broken Christmas Ornament"?!), augmented by a light, aromatic, dessert Port. Somehow Park Avenue Winter becomes the perfect place for stars to align over sumptuous food, with exceptional companionship, miraculously plucked out of the techo-ether, turning a winter evening into a spirit-warming experience. Not to be forgotten, and likely to be revisited.
I made an reservation for a while ago, when I went there the hostess gave us seat very outer corner where i cannot even see the main hall which was the main reason i went for the interior.
Excellent for restaurant week
Park Avenue Winter is very fine dining experience. The ambiance is wonderful! The main dining room and front bar area are spacious and easy to have a conversation with others at your table.
The food is excellent. It’s prepared well and presentation are both what you wish all dining experiences could be like. The service is also professional.
Very disappointed at Restaurant Week lunch this year. I am a frequent customer and I wound up discarding the special menu and ordered my usual salad.
In years past, we have always had extraordinary choices on the special menu, this was a real decline.
