10 out of 10. Retro, charming experience. Gorgeous property.
I would have scored higher had there not been confusion in the kitchen. My daughter and I both ordered a “Warm Spinach” salad which was advertised as being prepared table side. The salads came from the kitchen chilled not warm prepared table side. After this was quickly fixed the dinner was delicious. It was our daughters birthday and Park Ave helped the celebration with a slice of cake enough for the 3 of us. The restaurant has two dining areas. The main dining area, traditional, dim lighting and dark wood. The other, which is called “The Garage” is really tricky. Set in a late 40’s gas station lube bay that looks out on to the vegetable garden that supplies both restaurants. This venue also has a great green area situated between the main dining room and the Gas Station that would be a grand location for outdoors events. This was the second time my wife and I dined at Park Ave. for us it’s for special occasions and the management and food servers make it special. Thanks Park Ave. keep up the good work.
Made me and my wife feel like celebrities. Thank you very much for the experience. Will be returning soon.
Jacob and Efrain always take very good care of us.
I love Park ave. This restaurant and its management team take pride in executing a pleasant and memorable experience.
Not as good as last time. Still great food but my steak was very rare (ordered medium). Chef fixed it and it was perfect. Service was good but just not as attentive as before. For the money I spent ($175) I expected better, to be honest. It’s not much more to just go to Mastro’s and have a great experience.
We love Park Ave. We’ve been to dinner a few times and lunch twice. I highly recommend it. It’s a hidden gem in OC
Park Ave. Was gantastic! Open Table was poss poor! Tried to "amend" my reservation because our party quantity changed and there was no way to do this as it promoted me for a new time and an attempt to "find a table". WHAT! I just want to change the size of my party! I brought this up at the testaurant and they said this is a common problem with Open Table and doest work very well at all for many people. HEY OPEN TABLE, FIX THE PROBLEM !!!
Arrived in time for our 530pm Mother’s Day dinner reservation (confirmation #: 2109967190) for table 30. Was told by the hostess that that table was not available and would we like the table next to it. I asked WHY table 30 was given to another party when my Open Table reservation clearly states “table 30 for four.” She did not know why. I asked who seated them at our table. She said it was not her. She asked if we wanted to wait for table 30. I asked when the other party was seated and she said :15 ago, implying that we would want to wait until that party had concluded their meal if we still wanted table 30 that we always request...r u kidding me or what!
Becuz we had two mothers with us we did not contest the mix up and were seated at the adjacent table vs having to request staff management to intervene.
Additionally, we ordered the special 14oz grass-fed ribeye for $56.75 and received the slab of meat, w/o any sauce, not a scintilla of gourmet preparation, plain as could be, the potato and ten (10) green beans, ten (10) measely green beans, for two, all placed separately on the serving dish when we had requested splitting it between the two of us, that we had to divvy up ourselves.
We’ve been coming to PARK AVE for yrs but r seriously considering eliminating it from r fine-dining rotation as a result of tonite’s less than acceptable dining experience w/the two (2) Moms!
What gives PARK AVE. Management!
Took my Mother for a Mother’s Day dinner tonight. She ordered a ribeye steak. Her first seven bites were all gristle. We asked for something else. My Dad and I were done eating before her filet meal arrived. We asked for more bread and finally had to ask again to a busboy for bread. My Dad needed a spoon and the waiter never brought it. The waiter never checked if my Mom’s second meal and meat were okay. Upon delivering the check the waiter never apologized for the bad meat. I don’t mind paying almost $50. For a meal but the food and service should meet my expectations. Very disappointing dining experience.
This restaurant was a great choice for Mother's Day. The service, food and atmosphere were all superb. We finished our meal with a walk around the garden, which my mother loved.
Park Avenue is a great place for special occasions, the food is always excellent!
Reservation was on time. Service was excellent. Very pleasant atmosphere, grounds were well kept. The garden where they grow vegetables was quite unique.
A bit too dark in the dining room.
Filled out the comment card at the restaurant. Only negative was the constant stream of people going in and out of the door to the restaurant in the back. Too much foot traffic and it got cold every time the door opened.
The outside of the restaurant is a little nondescript and I wasn’t sure where the door was. But once you get inside, it is warm and welcoming. This restaurant is one that people have probably passed by many times without trying but they should. The food was delicious and my steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. They also served bok choy as a vegetable when usually it would be something like green beans. Service was excellent from the host to the bus boys to our server. We asked our waitress if we could see the gardens and she took us out there and told us a little bit about the history of the restaurant which is very interesting. If you dine here, make sure to go and take a look at the grounds.
This place was amazing. The food was so fresh and delicious! Get the garden salad!!! The stuffed pork chop was so much bigger and better than I thought it would be! The service was fantastic. The servers clearly care about what they’re doing, and the food reflects that those in the kitchen and the garden definitely care about what they’re doing!
Great service. Good food. Quiet enough that a group of 8 could hear each other.
Not first time here. Usually love all of it...food, ambience etc. Took friends this time and were embarrassed to have bragged beforehand. Plenty of tables open in main dining room but were shuffled to back room which was barren, noisy and felt like eating in area for "overflow" of customers. Both my dinner
(scallops) and my friends were cold...not just not hot...but chilly.
Even the gardens out back looked sad.
Many times there, first time disappointed.
Great way to celebrate my wife's birthday. Jacob and Elizabeth made her feel very special.
The food is pricey - but absolutely delicious. Fabulous service, very attentive from the moment you walk in the door. If you go early, (4 PM on a Wednesday) you will practically have the place to yourself.
I wanted to try Park Ave in Stanton for dinner on Easter 2019. I had heard so many good things. Everybody said it is good but expensive. Now, I am going to say the same thing. For our party of four, the bill was over $200 ($250 with gratuity). Every thing was great, especially the service. The review on OpenTable shows $$$ so I expected that it might be expensive but not any more than I have paid at other fine dining establishments. It ended up being the highest tab I have ever paid for a party of this size and none of us ordered alcohol. But then again, I was prepared to pay between $200 and $300. But I would have been happier spending this money at The Winery in Tustin. I will recommend Park Ave but be prepared. It should be rated $$$$.
Park Ave is our favorite place to celebrate any event! Food is always excellent and yummy!!
Had a beautiful Sunday lunch after church with my two daughters and my sister and brother-in-law. I had a wonderful steak while the rest of the family had varying dishes that consisted of steak and eggs and filet mignon medallions finished with a beautiful scrumptious dessert and a walk outside in the garden with the bunnies.
We enjoyed a lovely Easter Brunch. Our server Dennis was awesome, anticipated our every need and was so personable. Entire staff was courteous and efficient. All of our entrees, appetizers and desserts were very good. The manager greeted us at our table and invited us to walk through the garden after our meal. It was lovely and there were bunnies in a pen, and Easter eggs for the children to hunt. A delightful surprise! All in all a perfect experience!
A lovely restaurant for a special meal - Park Ave never disappoints. We started with the squash blossoms appetizer - super delicious with excellent flavor. I started with the wedge salad which was amazing. The bleu chess dressing is not to be missed. For dinner I had the filet of sole served with fingerling potatoes. It was a good size piece of fish encrusted in panko - very light and delicious. My dinner companions tried and recommend the scallops, ribeye and mussels&clams (appetizer portion is more than enough for dinner).
Super great evening. Love, love, love this place.
Throw back ambiance cool vibe, great service, wonderfully prepared dishes, a wine list that has a great selection without being overwhelming and no dogs on the list.
We enjoyed it all!
We had a wonderful lunch as always. I was pleased to see a lighter dish on the lunch menu. Turkey
Meatballs with Spaghetti Squash. It was just delicious
We love coming here for lunch or dinner. I have brought my family from Manhattan Beach and they always want to go to Park Ave when they come visit.
Amazing food and wonderful service!
We had a good time, my husbands steak was very fatty and lots of grisel. The Au Gratin Potatoes were very very bland, the twice baked potatoe was amazing. We had two filets one cooked MR and one cooked Medium, they both came out MR so my friend ate around the outside and gave me the inside. Not sure we would return for the price and quality of meat. Apps were awesome, and the Cosmo's were good.
This is our "Go to Place" when we want to celebtate a special occasion -
Good Food, Good Service and a wonderful atmosphere.
My first visit to park ave was very pleasant. Our bar server was so friendly and escorted us to the gardens for a little tour after creating us a wonderful cocktail. Our lunch was DELICIOUS and our server was right on. I will definitely be back. Oh it was our birthday celebrations and they honored us with a great dessert!
My girlfriend and I have been wanting to to check out Park Ave for some time now. We heard a lot of good things and tonight was the night we decided to go. We really enjoyed our dining experience with the level of service provided and quality of the food. We will definitely be go back! Cheers!
Great ambiance and atmosphere. Most enjoyable meal. I’ll be back.
Park Ave is a great classic dining experience. I recieved excellent and attentive service from the moment i entered and through the entire dinner. I also love the mid century decor. Everything was great tonight from the deviled eggs and thick cut bacon, to the well prepared and thoughtfully plated entree. I had the slow cooked pork shank, which was perfect braised, along with superb root vegetables. I highly recommend.
Not worth the cost in my personal opinion, chicken was bland, and my well-done steak was still moo’ing it was so bloody. The service was decent.
We are from Canada a family of three visiting Disneyland and thought we would try something different in Anaheim outside the disney area . We had steak dinner and it was ribeye’s and they were mediocre, nothing special for $50 dollars for just the steak. Overpriced !!!! So gave my canadian creditcard that has a chip that requires a pin input. I think our waiter was new and ot properly trained and took the card and swiped and came bqck and said it was declined. My wife and I both gave debit and other credit cards with chips on them and tbey were also declined. So the manager Jacob came over and basically hovered over the table explaining we needed to go to the bank machine and one of us would have to stay. I became upset and called Td Visa my bank and they said the card been had swiped not inserted. So i asked to go to the machine in the back and i inserted my credit card and entered the pin and it was accepted. I told the manager the problem and he basically said I was lying and i called the bank to release a block from my bank, that is why it worked. The worst part about it, it was busy and everybody heard and seen what happened. It was so embarrasing !!!!! Very rude not one apology ..... stay away very overrated and horrible management.......
The food was delicious! The service was excellent! We had a large party and they accommodated us nicely in a corner where we could be a little loud and not bother others - which was great!
So wonderful. A very unique and beautiful place with the best staff anywhere. The food was just perfect. I took my 80 year young Aunt for a late afternoon birthday lunch with my sister. They both loved the food and the restaurant. Special day for us. It was the first time any of us had been there. Go.
