It was wonderful to see the chef out meeting and greeting! We will he back.
Down side: unfortunately our server had a pretty tough time communicating with us. I don’t usually say things like that but this particular time I thought it was worth pointing out.
Regardless, I think we will be back!!
Great restaurant to celebrate a special occasion and made our anniversary dinner even better with amazing food and ambiance.
Amazing dinner experience! You have to take a stroll in the garden after you finish eating!
Delicious steaks, waitress very accommodating with substitutions, warm ambience.
The Manager at the door was fantastic. The food and service excellent.
Perfect experience and every time we’ve gone there it always is a perfect experience. Do yourself a favor and go to Park Avenue. It’s one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to and I’m at old guy and I’ve been to a lot of restaurants.
Park Ave. restaurant has been one of our favorite restaurants to go to especially when we have guests visiting.
The food is delicious and we appreciate that they have a garden on premise and use it with their menu.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Park Ave never disappoints!! The service is always perfect. The GM or Chef always comes by the table to check on you. The food is so fresh as it’s farm-to-table food sourced with their beautiful garden for all to view in the backyard. Highly recommend this place for lunch o dinner and especially for special occasions!
First, Park Avenue is one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions and sometimes just because. It usually is excellent for the service and the food. This last visit started out really bad but was saved by a new waiter and the manager.
We were sat promptly and everyone came by to provide water and bread and butter. So far so good, which is what we've grown used to at Park Avenue.
Unfortunately, this was the last we engaged with anyone for over 10 minutes. We sat at the table patiently waiting for our wait person to come by to offer drinks and to let us know about the specials.
A waiter from a different area noticed that we had sat there for a long time so he asked if our waiter had come by yet and we told him that no, no one had come by since providing the water and bread. He said he would let our waiter know that we were waiting for service. This part is now funny but at the time was very annoying. Our actual waiter marched up to us and asked us if we had a problem. We said that yes we did that we had been sitting for a long time and felt kind of invisible. He replied that we weren't invisible but then aggressively asked if we wanted someone else to serve us. We said yes since it seemed like he was going to have a bad attitude and we didn't want to deal with that.
So, now to make this a shorter story the waiter that originally stopped by ended up serving us and provided the usual excellent service Park Avenue provides. The manager stopped by to apologize for the poor service as well.
We still love Park Avenue but if we get the bad waiter again we will ask be re-seated somewhere he is not serving.
Asked to move tables because a large party sat next to us and were very loud. The staff was very accommodating!
The meal was great. The service we received, for such a well rated establishment, was average. Every phase/interaction with out server during the dining experience felt as a chore.
We had a great time! Service was terrific
Lovely meal - haven’t dined at Park Avenue for awhile but as good as we remembered. Cheryl, our server was very attentive without being intrusive.
Beet appetizer, salad from the garden to start followed by Pork Shank and Sole. Everything perfectly prepared and presented.
If they hadn’t seated a party of about 20 next to us, it would have been more memorable.
Plan on taking friends with us next time
Service was very good. It's very nice inside, kinda an old school '50's or 60's vibe. The food is way overpriced! I ordered the New York Strip special, it was pretty good, just not great for $62.00. Not really any better than Black Angus at over half the price! Drinks are also overpriced. Dinner for 2 came to $200 with tip. For that price you can dine at Morton's or Ruth Chris and get a truly great steak.
Outstanding! Superb! My new favorite Steakhouse. Ruth Chris and Morton's watch out for competition!
The Il Garage garden is a phenomenal plus.
Great food and great service always a perfect combination.
19th anniversary! Always amazing fare.
Amazing, delicious, great service, we loved it. We will be back and will recommend to everybody we know.
Very noisy. I felt I was in a sports bar . The food was not prepared right the scallops were raw the steak that was seasoned with ground coffee bean did not help the steak out . The meat balls for appetizer was the only thing that tasted good even though it was not hot barly warm.
Always my go to place for special occasions. Have been enjoying Park Avenue for at least the past 15 years. Never disappoints - from company Xmas parties to wedding showers and of course couples and friends nite out!
The service was excellent and the people were very sweet
Can’t wait to come back
Love this place. Great food and drinks, cool ambience, walking the garden is an added bonus.
I always get the Fred chicken special when we go on Sunday night. Always delicious!
Wonderful 1960's Sardi's atmosphere that entices the customer to oder a big martini and crane you next trying to find Don Draper in the crowd. The entire property is dazzling. The staff is friendly and attentive. The entire retro-evening seems like Disney designed it. My only (small) downside is they have a corkage policy of no outside wine.
I have been three times before, it was my husbands first time - our anniversary dinner. I really wanted to like it but, I wouldn't go back. I had the sea bass - thin slices stacked up on top of each other, swimming in buttery stuff. I couldn't even tell what it was served on. My husband had the lamb chops and he said they were very good but for $47 they should be very good. The lamb chops came with pesto mashed potatoes but he did not taste pesto, just potatoes. They brought us a cupcake to share for our anniversary but they were giving a LOT of people cupcakes.
The Slay chardonnay was stellar - absolutely delicious. It was the best part of the dinner!
We loved the food and the ambiance! It was great! We will be back.
We enjoyed our evening with you! We will visit again!
It was our first visit and our group had an outstanding time! The food was absolutely delicious! So much, that we were so full but we couldn't stop eating. Our server was excellent and the ambiance was surprising much better than we could have imagined. Love the retro, posh vibe! Will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful birthday meal. Wifey had the Hawaiian snapper with a a real tasty sauce that was presented beautifully with the little flower that we've become accustomed to seeing. I had my heart set on the New York steak that I'd been looking forward to for a long time and wasn't disappointed. Cooked to perfection everytime and I especially like the lasagna like cut of scalloped potatoes served as an accompanier. We were given a real nice chocolate desert with fresh berries and raspberry sauce. Additionally we like Park Ave because they offer a wide array of wines by the glass that we enjoy trying. The only thing that day was the least expensive of the chardonnays was $17 a glass. Maybe understandable for a premium red, but we wish there would be a less expensive alternative. We'll be back regardless. We appreciate the opportunity to visit a truly special restaurant like Park Ave.
Had a great dinner as usual. Have been coming here ever since they opened about ten years ago.
Park Ave. never fails to give you a great dining experience. We went to celebrate 2 birthdays, 2 families had never been to Park Ave. Each dish was deliciously prepared from their steak bites to the cauliflower appetizers to the wonderful fried chicken dinner and skirt steak and scallops. We had 2 children in our group and they chose to have a regular dinner, rather than order from the kids menu. Service is always friendly and efficient and food never disappoints. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and dining experience.
This is a wonderful restaurant.
I have never been disappointed.
Celebrated 44th wedding anniversary. Requested round table for 7. Prefer it to rectangular. Ask for back dining room if available. All requests were provided. In addition, as fate would have it, no one else was in that dining from 6 to abut 8:30 while we were there. We felt so lucky. The food was cooked to perfection. Although, the twice baked potato was lacking flavor and kind of dry. The service was wonderful.
Some items are a bit pricey, but the food was very tasty. The Chardonnay by the glass from Mr. Slay's winery is much more expensive than I had imagined. I didn't look at the price list, but two of our guests ordered 2 glasses each, which came to $72.00, or $18.00 a glass. That is too pricey for me. We have been dining at Park Avenue for a very long time. We always bring out of town family and friends.
Great place! Food is amazing service was phenomenal!
Love this place. It's nice, food is great, but you don't feel stifled. Dennis, our waiter added to our whole experience.
I went with my husband and another couple to Park Avenue Steakhouse for dinner. This restaurant's decor is a throwback to the famous Rat Pack days, with it's muted lighting and intimate seating. So if you are a Frank Sinatra fan like me, you will love this place even before you try the food. We were seated right away, and our server was very attentive and courteous. We began with drinks from their signature cocktail menu to go with their delicious appetizers consisting of a watermelon wedge topped with goat and gruyere cheese, and the batter-fried zuchhini blossoms stuffed with ricotta and goat cheese. For dinner I ordered the Filet Mignon medallions topped with a rich mixed mushroom sauce, while my husband and our friends ordered the Ribeye and stuffed pork chops. For dessert we ordered coffees and shared a wonderful concoction of white cake, coconut and Chantilly cream. Needless to say, everything was delicious, and the service was top-notch! Do yourself a favor and add this to your list of must-try steakhouses. You will not be disappointed!
Excellent food in a cool setting. For price, service could be a bit more professional and the wine list is overly expensive. Nothing under $60. There should be offerings in the $30-40 range.
The wine list had nothing under $60.00 a bottle in each catagory. Way overpriced. They should offer a good $45.00 bottle of wine. Very Small glass of liquor on the rocks. Glass was overflowing with ice. Where was the booze? They take gouging of libations seriously at this restaurant. Food was good.
A perfect setting for a business lunch, quiet and professional.
