I ordered the fillet mignon medium rare but when I ate my first bite it was actually cold inside, even less than rare. I sent it back and they were very nice about it but when it came back it was steaming and pretty much well done. The didn’t even bother cleaning the side of my plate where they scraped the meat back onto the grill. It tasted fine but their remedy was disappointing.
My husband enjoyed his dinner. The warm spinach salad was also good.
Park Ave is one of my favorite restaurants! I love the ambiance. The service is wonderful - attentive, efficient, but not intrusive. The food is great! However, on my latest visit I was a bit disappointed by the chicken pot pie. The crust was papery and tough, but that is the only complaint I've had about this restaurant in the many years I've been coming.
Excellent service and cuisine. A group of five of us went to Park Avenue for lunch and really enjoyed our afternoon. Service is outstanding from the chef to the busing crew. The chef checked in with our group to see if our food was prepared to our liking. Looking forward to returning soon.
Not a good night. Prefer lunch at Park Avenue. Every bite of a NY Steak on the plate should be edible.
Great food and great ambiance . I would recommend Park Ave to anyone
It was our anniversary, a surprise for my husband. Looked on yelp at all of the reviews and they were all great which is why I decided to make reservations. I was amazed, the food was great and the service was amazing! Loved it
Love this place. I have enjoyed many great meals at Park Ave. Everyone I bring here is delighted with the atmosphere.
This is my second time to Park Avenue both times for lunch. I feel like I'm in old Palm Springs with the architecture of the rocks and roof line outdoors and the inside is a warm Old World atmosphere. Lovely! I love the Filet Mgnon and the mushroom sauce was fabulous. Instead of mashed potatoes, I ordered rice pilaf, should have ordered brown rice. It was different, with lots of chunky veggies, which I would of just had the rice but it was good. I'm not sure what the side vegetable was but it didn't look appetizing so I didn't try it. I thought a glass of house wine at lunch time was expensive at $15 a glass. The Spinach Salad wasn't up to our friends expectation as she has her Mother's recipe which they said was better. Our waitress was very pleasant and served our food quickly. I love this property and would like to try the Italian restaurant one day. The ladies working in the garden were very friendly and gave us a lot of information on all the home grown produce and flowers.
Loves our server. She was outstanding.
A true local gem. Steaks are some of the best offered in So Cal. Great, friendly service. A favorite of ours.
It was New Years Eve, the Service was great from the begining to end, food was delicious, a great place!!!! Than you!!!
We arrived at the restaurant on time for our reservation. Being New Year’s eve, we had expected it to be busy, but when I booked the reservation I was clear that I wanted the Park Avenue restaurant and not the garage. We arrived in the hostess told us it would be a 45 minute wait for our table. The waiting area by the front door was packed with other guests waiting to be seated. We could be seated at the time of our reservation if we wanted to go to the garage. We told them know that we had specifically reserved for Park Avenue. We were seated in about 10 minutes after our arrival. We were very disappointed that the front of house staff seemed to be completely taken by surprise by the number of people wanting to dine in a restaurant on New Year’s Eve.
The restaurant did not have a special menu or pricing for New Year’s Eve - thank you!
Our waiter was very good. The food was good, however the entire experience felt rushed, loud and not special. I would not recommend Park Avenue for special events.
I love Park Ave for any occasion. We celebrated NYE there this year. We had reservations at 8 and got there at 7 to have a drink at the bar. We hoped we would be seated a bit early but were not expecting it. When we checked in the host said we could “try” to get a drink at the bar. We were lucky and found a seat. The bartender was knowledgeable but not personable, I get it it’s busy. I was a bit bummed they were showing football on the TV as this place is like a time capsule of the past in every other element. The drinks were great, but we didn’t get sat until about 8:30. Fine, not a big deal. We had a nice table which I was thankful for, and our server was pretty good but I’ve had better service here. My boyfriend had a steak with an amazing twice baked potato. I opted for the special which was swordfish. My fish came out a bit cooler than room temp and I had to send it back. They fixed it, and it was great. The chef came out and apologized so I appreciated that. Overall the night and food was good. The restrooms ran out of supplies and when I told the host she acted like she didn’t care.
TL;DR the food and service is normally 5 star, but they overbooked New Years Eve and had a hard time fulfilling that many covers while still achieving a 5 star dining experience.
Our reservation was for 8:00pm and i think we got seated about 9:45. We had 2 baskets of bread before our order was taken and 2 more before our meal showed up. Needed to remind our server about two missed drink orders. One of our meals was returned twice to the kitchen due to being under cooked. The 2nd time was by the server as he could tell it was still not cooked to requested temperature.
We were sat right next to the back door leading to the patio section and the door was opened about 20 times during our meal and there was a very cold breeze could Ming in every time.
I’ve eaten here ore than 10 times and understand it was New Year’s Eve so i am taking that into consideration as well. All and all i would return, just maybe not on a holiday night.
This is my 7th visit. It never disappoints even on NYE. It’s a pleasant atmosphere with a diverse clientele. The food is solid, the staff are friendly and I keep returning because I’ve always enjoyed myself
The New Year’s Eve menu was said to be condensed but actually had many varied entrees. We were surprised that the rear dining area was nicely decorated for the holidays and had a window view of a lighted grass area.
Service was excellent but our waiter had multiple tables by the time we completed our entree so receiving the dessert menu and then the check took a little while. We did enjoy not feeling rushed to leave!!!
there were 4 of us. Everyone else food was great. I order the stuffed pork chops. It was mostly stuffing and the little bit of pork chop was burned. Which was a surprised because we have eaten there before and It was very good.R
Last minute decision to go out to dinner on New Year’s Eve with the kids. We were seated upon arrival and were lucky enough to get Maurice for our server. He was awesome! Great sense of humor and good with the kids. The food was delicious as always. We enjoyed shrimp cocktail, crispy greens, Caesar salad and a variety of steaks. Since we were celebrating we also fit in some dessert. We tried the Chocolate marshmallow sundae and the salted caramel sundae. Both were very good. So glad we decided to go out. I think we’ll do it again next year!
The dinner food was delicious. Some of the portions were kind of small for the price. The specialty drink menu was not special. If feel the bartender did not have great knowledge of mixology. The bartender was rude to my girlfriend when she asked if he could remake a drink. He wasn’t even busy with guests. He was lighting candles. That’s great customer service. Our server didn’t know any of the whiskey names. We asked to speak to the manager about the drink situation and he(Steve) offered free deserts even though we didn’t ask or cared for that at the moment. He offered new drinks but we refused. Wish they had a more upscale attitude given the average prices of the menu. The only good thing going for the restaurant is the food.
We had the best lunch of the Chicken Pot Pie. The crust and flavor were just delicious.
There were 4 of us and we all had the same lunch . Just delicious and our server with his French accent was so charming
Very good food. Fresh ingredients. Service was outstanding.
Excellent service. Manager is awesome. Great food.
Great food. Fresh ingredients. Outstanding service. Good spot for a quick lunch. Never felt rushed but our orders came out very quickly.
The rib eye was amazing and they source their vegetables from their own garden. I love the crispy greens on the appetizer list. We’ve come here with friends 2 years in a row for the holidays and have not been disappointed.
We really had a fabulous time. I've been there before but when celebrating my GF birthday, I wanted something special. She had never been here before and I knew she would love it, which she did. The staff were outstanding, in particular our server. She even obliged us and took some photos. I had a great conversation with the manager, Jacob, who made sure that we had a wonderful time. Great place, all in all.
I have come here many times before and always had a great experience. This past time, the food quality was not up to par, the service was lackluster and the menu very overpriced. We were charged $13 for a side salad! Will not return here again.
The food is excellent. I had the half chicken with mash potatoes, spinach and gravy and it was the best meal ever. I also love the pot pie and the peppered steak. This was my 12th time there and I'm always happy and satisfied when I leave.
Pulled up to Park Avenue which had a very well lit parking lot, and a security guard. You can draw your own conclusions from that. I always bring a bottle of wine with me when dinning in and found that Park Avenue does not allow that at all. The portions were average size and the food was good. I found it a little loud as the tables are pretty close together. You can sit in a table or booth if you like, we selected the booth which was really not that comfortable. They do not have a large dinning room, so I guess that is why they have to put so many table together very close making in loud. Service was just ok, took forever to get our cocktail order back to the table and once we decided what we wanted to eat, that also took more time than I am normally accustomed to. Southern California has many great places to eat, this is just an average place - nothing really special.
Service was very slow, we brought a bottle of wine which we could not open since they do not allow any outside wine, over all the food was not up to par with the price.
The meats are very tasty we lived it. Filet mignon is excellent. Rib eyes was good. New York steak a bit chewy. Cake was dry
Super essen und sehr gute Qualität, was allerdings leider durch eine nicht schmeckende Sosse ergänzt wurde. Die hätte man einfach weglassen sollen.
Ansonsten prima Service und excellentes Fleisch
Being a wine enthusiast, I wanted to bring a bottle of wine of my choice. This is the first restaurant I have been to that wouldn’t allow a corking fee. My suggestion would be to consider that for future customers. The wine we had from the restaurant was good, but the bottle of wine I selected from home was outstanding.
Never fails us. PA is always top notch, the food the wine the service. I only go somewhere else to avoid the possibility of boredom. Make your holiday reservation now. Chef David runs a great restaurant and treats his employees very fairly.
The food was spectacular.
Park Avenue can always be relied on to have yummy, really fresh food. There is plenty of variety from one visit to the next, as well as familiar favorites to choose from. The waitstaff is well-chosen too. If we lived closer, or if lunch were served on Sundays, we'd be here much more often.
Outstanding, Park Ave Dinning has been in same spot for about 40 years! They have a garden & server told us we grow our own vegetables.
The four of us couldn't have had a nicer evening and dinner. Being seated in the Garden Room was perfect.
The atmosphere was pleasant and very inviting. Our server was the best and very helpful.
We each had a variety of entrees which were excellent.
Looks like we have found our new favorite dining experience. A little pricey, but well worth all we had.
Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Good food, good service, great experience
