I wanted to try Park Ave in Stanton for dinner on Easter 2019. I had heard so many good things. Everybody said it is good but expensive. Now, I am going to say the same thing. For our party of four, the bill was over $200 ($250 with gratuity). Every thing was great, especially the service. The review on OpenTable shows $$$ so I expected that it might be expensive but not any more than I have paid at other fine dining establishments. It ended up being the highest tab I have ever paid for a party of this size and none of us ordered alcohol. But then again, I was prepared to pay between $200 and $300. But I would have been happier spending this money at The Winery in Tustin. I will recommend Park Ave but be prepared. It should be rated $$$$.
Park Ave is our favorite place to celebrate any event! Food is always excellent and yummy!!
Had a beautiful Sunday lunch after church with my two daughters and my sister and brother-in-law. I had a wonderful steak while the rest of the family had varying dishes that consisted of steak and eggs and filet mignon medallions finished with a beautiful scrumptious dessert and a walk outside in the garden with the bunnies.
We enjoyed a lovely Easter Brunch. Our server Dennis was awesome, anticipated our every need and was so personable. Entire staff was courteous and efficient. All of our entrees, appetizers and desserts were very good. The manager greeted us at our table and invited us to walk through the garden after our meal. It was lovely and there were bunnies in a pen, and Easter eggs for the children to hunt. A delightful surprise! All in all a perfect experience!
A lovely restaurant for a special meal - Park Ave never disappoints. We started with the squash blossoms appetizer - super delicious with excellent flavor. I started with the wedge salad which was amazing. The bleu chess dressing is not to be missed. For dinner I had the filet of sole served with fingerling potatoes. It was a good size piece of fish encrusted in panko - very light and delicious. My dinner companions tried and recommend the scallops, ribeye and mussels&clams (appetizer portion is more than enough for dinner).
Super great evening. Love, love, love this place.
Throw back ambiance cool vibe, great service, wonderfully prepared dishes, a wine list that has a great selection without being overwhelming and no dogs on the list.
We enjoyed it all!
We had a wonderful lunch as always. I was pleased to see a lighter dish on the lunch menu. Turkey
Meatballs with Spaghetti Squash. It was just delicious
We love coming here for lunch or dinner. I have brought my family from Manhattan Beach and they always want to go to Park Ave when they come visit.
Amazing food and wonderful service!
This is our "Go to Place" when we want to celebtate a special occasion -
Good Food, Good Service and a wonderful atmosphere.
We had a good time, my husbands steak was very fatty and lots of grisel. The Au Gratin Potatoes were very very bland, the twice baked potatoe was amazing. We had two filets one cooked MR and one cooked Medium, they both came out MR so my friend ate around the outside and gave me the inside. Not sure we would return for the price and quality of meat. Apps were awesome, and the Cosmo's were good.
My first visit to park ave was very pleasant. Our bar server was so friendly and escorted us to the gardens for a little tour after creating us a wonderful cocktail. Our lunch was DELICIOUS and our server was right on. I will definitely be back. Oh it was our birthday celebrations and they honored us with a great dessert!
My girlfriend and I have been wanting to to check out Park Ave for some time now. We heard a lot of good things and tonight was the night we decided to go. We really enjoyed our dining experience with the level of service provided and quality of the food. We will definitely be go back! Cheers!
Great ambiance and atmosphere. Most enjoyable meal. I’ll be back.
Park Ave is a great classic dining experience. I recieved excellent and attentive service from the moment i entered and through the entire dinner. I also love the mid century decor. Everything was great tonight from the deviled eggs and thick cut bacon, to the well prepared and thoughtfully plated entree. I had the slow cooked pork shank, which was perfect braised, along with superb root vegetables. I highly recommend.
Not worth the cost in my personal opinion, chicken was bland, and my well-done steak was still moo’ing it was so bloody. The service was decent.
We are from Canada a family of three visiting Disneyland and thought we would try something different in Anaheim outside the disney area . We had steak dinner and it was ribeye’s and they were mediocre, nothing special for $50 dollars for just the steak. Overpriced !!!! So gave my canadian creditcard that has a chip that requires a pin input. I think our waiter was new and ot properly trained and took the card and swiped and came bqck and said it was declined. My wife and I both gave debit and other credit cards with chips on them and tbey were also declined. So the manager Jacob came over and basically hovered over the table explaining we needed to go to the bank machine and one of us would have to stay. I became upset and called Td Visa my bank and they said the card been had swiped not inserted. So i asked to go to the machine in the back and i inserted my credit card and entered the pin and it was accepted. I told the manager the problem and he basically said I was lying and i called the bank to release a block from my bank, that is why it worked. The worst part about it, it was busy and everybody heard and seen what happened. It was so embarrasing !!!!! Very rude not one apology ..... stay away very overrated and horrible management.......
The food was delicious! The service was excellent! We had a large party and they accommodated us nicely in a corner where we could be a little loud and not bother others - which was great!
So wonderful. A very unique and beautiful place with the best staff anywhere. The food was just perfect. I took my 80 year young Aunt for a late afternoon birthday lunch with my sister. They both loved the food and the restaurant. Special day for us. It was the first time any of us had been there. Go.
Birthday! We had wonderful service but we received a snappy response when we called about corking fees! No corking fees! Another wise I would have given Park Ave all 5s
Great place with outstanding food and service! I highly recommend Park Ave.
We ended up having a party size of 20. Food was brought promptly, at same time. Staff was extremely attentive, with out being intrusive. My daughter, whose 16th birthday we were celebrating, felt very special. The was amazing!!! Highly highly recommend Park Ave!
Old style Steak house. we ordered beat salad for appetizer, Filet and lamb shanks for entree and they were all wonderful. Cooked to perfection and very tasty. The ambiance is more of a family dining, but the service was excellent.
We dine with you often. Food always good. Waiter spoke very softly and we had a hard time understanding him. Nice man. Always good to see Jacob and Dave Slay. Will try to make it Mothers
Beautiful lunch in a beautiful restaurant. Our server, Maurice, provided great service and was a lot of fun. One of our favorite OC restaurants with a wonderful owner/chef, David Slay.
What a find! Real old world steak house charm in Stanton. A great steak house with good ambivalence. I could tell from the customer base this was a place people come too time after time. After having dinner there this past week I am part of that group. It took me a while to find the Garage restaurant but the journey is half of the fun. Through a hidden garden gate into the herb and lettuce garden and only 10 tables with giant garage doors that when open on a sunny day would be a great experience. This one is definitely on my list this summer. By the way the New York was to die for, thought I would take most of that bad boy home but it was so good I finished it off in one sitting.
As a connoisseur of good food, Park Ave. is our go to for birthdays, anniversaries, and Saturday Steak-dates—not just good, but exquisite cuisine, classically and creatively prepared and served by friendly, professional servers. We always enjoy our traditional family gatherings, eating fresh and mostly local food, and highly encourage those who are seeking a fine dining experience, to embark on your own fond memories amongst a staff who cares about your gastronomical experience.
Some of my favorite are getting to expensive for us. We new order different
The food was great as was everything else. We will be back.
The salmon was cooked to perfection! My compliments to the chef.
Hoping that this was just an off night for Park Ave. It is usually one of our favorite restaurants. My husband and I were disappointed in our meals and the limited menu. The saving grace was the service.
Sunday fried chicken is amazing!!! Our server was perfect as well. Cozy atmosphere, excellent food, excellent service!!!
We don't live close enough to come here often, but whenever we're in the area, Park Avenue is a definite destination. The food is fresh and fabulous (huge garden on premises) and the staff love their guests and it shows. David Slay puts it all on the plate, so to speak, and you won't be disappointed with any selection you make. Be sure to save room for desserts... yes, plural... you can't choose just one!
Great every time
We arrived early for our reservation and were seated promptly. I very much appreciate the accommodation that they made considering we arrived 45 mins too soon.
The wait staff was extremely friendly and we cracked a few jokes together as we settled into our table. The first round of drinks came quickly and waters were attended to when half full (or so).
The special, a coffee-rubbed cast-iron cooked ribeye, was trash. An abomination of steak. Thick on one end, thin on the other, no ribbon. Literally, no ribbon. If you can’t serve a proper ribeye, please get out of the steak game. I would be embarrassed to have grilled such a piece of nothing.
That being said, the twice baked potato, greens, and bread were very tasty.
Server seemed annoyed to be asked questions about the menu. Possibly just overwhelmed with extra business due to Natural Products Expo crowds.
Steak not great, twice baked potato and dinner veggies were quite good. Nice that they have veggies from their own garden - crispy greens too oily, however.
Cool decor plays homage to fifties external architecture without being campy.
I would give them another shot but they need to better train their servers.
Food was Great and service was excellent. Staff is very accommodating.
Quality of the rib-eye poor to mediocre considering pricing. A lot of gristle and fat on a 10 oz cut.
Service was very good
Dinner was great, however I ordered the ribeye special which was okay, but not spectacular. Disappointed when I got the bill and realized it was $62.00. Not worth that price!
As usual the service was impeccable and food was fantastic but the noise level was so loud we could not hear each other speak so we did our best to have a hurried dinner. After a long day of work the noise was too much for a Tuesday evening.
