Park & Howard Bistro
The lunch menu is full of wonderful seasonal pairings salads, sandwiches and entrees. Service is approachable, knowledgeable, attentive and friendly, in a comfortable atmosphere
Very nice dinner had the salmon. The greens they put with them are quite bitter. Hamachi appetizer very small. Service very nice. Definitely will go back.
We love Park and Howard. Food is always wonderful. Service is great. Best restaurant in Burlingame. Our go to place.
Great service, atmosphere, and the food is always wonderful - this day included. This is becoming one of my favorite places for special occasions or those days when you want a perfect dining experience.
Great local place!
Park and Howard Bistro was a great find in Burlingame. So great to find good food so close to the airport! Our dinners were well-cooked and presented, although there were only 3 scallops on my husband's plate. A couple more would have been nice. Overall we had a great experience and would come back again.
Good food but too noisy. Very loud hard to hear.
Excellent service! Great meal and beautiful decor! Celebrated my friend’s birthday and they brought a dessert with candle. Delicious!!
Top notch. Every course AND the cocktails. Best kept secret in San Mateo!
What a find! Everything about the restless fantastic. We enjoyed everything immensely. There was a problem when we arrived that they did not have our reservation but luckily they had a few open tables. We plan on making this a monthly dinner out.
Scallops were amazing tonight!
Amazing food, fabulous service. My favorite place to eat. Would go there all the time
Best meal out in a long time.
Great dinner - great service. The Italian gentleman who sat us was fabulous!
Host asked us Kindly if we would like to sit in the more quiet room. It was anything but quiet.
Since that room is relatively small, he sat us in the middle table of 3 tables by the window.
All 3 tables appeared to receive excellent service....however all I can recall is looking up often
only to see the "rear end" of the waiters as they served the other 2 tables.
Not a pleasant memory, no matter how good the food.
We have dined here frequently and love the food and everything about it.
We all loved it.
Amazing food and a wonderful wait staff. One of the best meals I have had in a long time, from start to finish
1st class restaurant. Selections on menu are diverse. Wine List is superior.
Food was amazing. If the artichoke appetizer was offered as a main course, I would have ordered it. The signature bar drinks on the cocktail menu were fantastic.
I eat here frequently. It’s usually pretty good. Food was over cooked this time
Great to have a new quality restaurant in the neighborhood.
Very enjoyable evening. Nice ambiance, excellent service, and good location. Would return!!
Food is excellent. Fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. Service is top notch.
I have eaten here a number of times and have recommended to many before. Brought friends this time. Food was tasteless, undercooked or overlooked, every plate served. Disappointed!
I have been there twice before. The food was much better this time.
Our first time to Park and Howard bistro.
We walked in the door and the hostess was quite curt, abrupt and sharp. First thing she says, “Do you have a reservation? What’s your name?” No smile. No, hi how are you - nothing. Did not catch her name but she had very long straight black hair and looked as though she hated her job.... she set a very bad tone.. We sat down and the rest of the staff were very - very pleasant. Had appetizers and a great meal. Scallops were pretty salty. But other than that the meal was very enjoyable. It is very LOUD.
We will go again and hopefully have an all-around more pleasant experience. I would hope someone would speak with this hostess. She sets a very bad precedence for the restaurant if it wasn’t for her we would be giving them before five stars!
Great time and not rushed
Have been there twice now and the menu is excellent, especially the Petrale Sole sandwich!
Very nice wait staff and ambience.
We’ll be back!
The appetizers were good, but the portion sizes were small. I ordered the scallops ($34) and I had to send it back because they were very salty. They were accommodating in replacing my meal with something else. The bread pudding dessert was good, but the chocolate lava cake had no lava and was over baked and on the verge of being burned.
Had Father’s Day dinner here for the first time trying the restaurant. The service was pretty good, friendly and somewhat attentive. The food however fell short. Three of us had the petite filet and we all agreed it was not “filet mignon” quality and was quite bland. The only time I ask for steak sauce is when the steak has no flavor which is rare. Everything else ( coq au vin, branzino) was ok was the feedback from other members having other dishes. The chocolate lava cake was good but the bread pudding fell short (it wasn’t even warm). The bill also had an automatic 20% gratuity when was ok given that the service was ok but had it been under par I would not have been happy with it. There are many good restaurants in the Bay Area and I’m sorry to say this one will not be on my “be back again” list.
berger was dry and overcooked, besides being cold. my friend asked for crispy fries and they were not.
The place was full on a Sunday evening which means it has local regulars. Started the meal with the green salad with blue feta cheese, good but not a delight. Then shared the duck mousse, again good but not special. Finished with the salmon, it tasted like salmon, looked like salmon, but didn't have anything to make it newsworthy, or worth of acclaim.
Enjoyed a glass of the Shaffenberg sparkling wine, again, acceptable but not notable.
The bread was a disappointment.
This place is good for locals whose expectations are not very high, but is not a place to go out of your way for.
Driven by this bistro for several months. Decided the other night to give it a try. Smaller restaurant. Great wine list, outstanding food quality, great ambiance and attentive and helpful wait staff. Consider this a great find, and plan to frequent often.
From the skinny margarita made perfectly to the tomato/burrata salad to the ahi salad everything was de-lish. A little pricey for lunch but worth it. I will definitely return.
Last minute, we were able to book a table for 6 on a Friday night at 7pm. Had great service, good food and a nice table at the window. Thanks.
The place is OUTSTANDING and always PACKED!!! This place is definitely one of my favorites in Burlingame. My goodness, the food and service is on point!! The Steak Tartare as a starter, Filet (Cooked Perfectly) with a Potato Cake and Sautéed Veggies, and to end the night with my favorite dessert...The Chocolate Lava Cake!! I was very pleased with everything. I’m definitely going back soon.
Great spot and great food, great ambiance
Lovely ambience, nice menu and presentations. You must try their homemade bread and bread pudding.
Overall just ok. Prawns with salad were well prepared but the lettuce on the salad tasted like soap. Not good.
A really good 4 stars. Solid in all regards -- food, service, ambiance. We will go back.
