Parizade Ratings and Reviews
This was an amazing experience in every way. The meal was brilliant and absolutely delicious. The service was nothing short of perfection and the only thing the I regret is that we are not closer. We were driving through the state. The decor is truly fantastic and every corner of this incredible place yields a new treasure.
NYE was a memorable experience. Igor the Manager is the most professional and personable
hospitality person there is in the industry. Ivan, our waiter, was very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. The menu was fresh and trendy and the beverages
were the same. Overall a great venue and one which I will return to many times.
We went to Parizade for an a la carte New Year's Eve dinner. It was lively, as expected, and we had only a minimal wait until being seated. The food was excellent as was the service. The only complaint that we would register is the rather cold and drafty seating area. This made it a bit uncomfortable at times. But other than this inconvenience, our experience was very good.
We had terrible service. Our waiter, name withheld, was ill-equipped to serve. Slovenly presentation. Unprepared to answer questions and not willing to ask for help. We have been to this restaurant many times over the past decade. This was the worst experience we have had at any restaurant in the triangle. The food was not cooked as requested. The food was barely warm. Clearly misrepresented items on the menu and tried to pass them off as what we had ordered. Quite an unpleasant experience! And we were celebrating a special anniversary with friends. This service issue really needs to be addressed.
In one word...impeccable.
Our waiter was fabulous. We had appetizers that fed the 3 of us. Our meals were generous and tasty. The bottle of wine and negroni cocktail...super. For dessert we had the Napoleon...and shared it. The atmosphere is hard to beat ...and, we live in Philadelphia.
Christmas Eve with the family after church
It’s been discovered with every table full
Table great food delicious and satisfied everyone in our family (gluten free vegetarian, dairy free and everything !)
Waiter was a little disrespectful and only blemish on otherwise great meal
Took my family here for Christmas Eve and while the food was delicious the service was beyond horrendous. Sat for an hour without any attention or bread after asking repeatedly. When we finally got our appetizers two of them were missing and when our waitress eventually brought our dinner plates we mentioned we still hadn’t gotten two of our apps and she then told us that the kitchen was out of them... Would have been nice to know when she placed the order so that we could have gotten something else... Our water glasses were bone dry the whole meal. We had to ask multiple times for water and when our waitress finally filled them she literally walked away from my Dad who was holding up his empty glass to be filled. My Dad waited 5 minutes for her to return with pepper for his salad (which we had to request) and when she never returned I literally got up and grabbed a pepper shaker off the bar instead of wait for her to never return. We asked repeatedly for basic requests (a clean fork for my Mother since her original one came crusted with someone else’s old food) and our waitress would never return with them. My mom ate her whole meal with her salad fork rather than attempt to get any more service. The food was delicious but with service this horrendous I can’t say I would recommend this place or will return.
My family and I had a wonderful time at Parizade celebrating my grandma's 84th birthday. The food was delicious, my cousins and I did the pre fix lunch menu which was a great value, and my grandma had her favorite... the angel hair pasta with shrimp. Lovely atmosphere and the Christmas tree was gorgeous. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us frequently. Would highly recommend!
My husband and I had a cozy booth that made the large restaurant space feel more intimate. our server, Ivan, was attentive, personable, not intrusive, and knew the menu well. Every recommendation he made with food and wine was spot on! We were there on a rather slow night so the volume wasn't too loud. We could hear ourselves, a local artist was playing softly, and other table conversations seemed to absorb into white noise. The decor is eclectic; which is fitting for their menu. We had a fantastic time and will certainly be back to sit in Ivan's section.
We had a lovely round table for six in a quiet corner in the back right corner of the restaurant for a Christmas lunch for friends. Great that it was so quiet we could hear each other talk, food was very good as was the service. We had a very nice time. Thanks!
We found this restaurant many years ago and come as often as we can. We travel a bit to get there but it's always worth the visit. The staff works as a well greased machine, everything on time, presented beautifully, management of the dining room , can't say enough about the quality of the food or the relaxing atmosphere the management provides. A jewel.
The scallops and pork chop were very good. The linguine with clams was a bit too spicy hot for me. Also, butter is not served with the bread plate and I was told they don't serve sweet tea. They did bring the butter after I asked though. However, when I asked if they had any simple syrup for my friend's unsweetened tea, they brought me a glass of sweet tea. I don't understand this. Desserts were excellent as was the Caesar salad.
Our friends, new to the Durham area, had not eaten at Parizade before. They loved it as much as us. I think the waiter made it very special because he was so attentive and informative about our food selections. We enjoyed the mini concert by the guitarist, but we all felt it was a little loud for conversation. Always love the Christmas tree and it is fantastic for pictures. A wonderful night with friends.
Quality and quantity of food is sub-par and food is extremely over-priced. I had invited a friend who was moving out of town and had not been to Parizade before. It had been several years since I was last there and I found that it has significantly declined. We were very disappointed. We overheard the chef talking with some other customers and he was bragging how he would put a 16 oz rib-eye on the menu, when it was really only 14 oz, and include some potato fingerlings and charge $44 for it and make a killing. With that attitude, I'll take my business elsewhere and get good quality and quantity for my money.
We had eaten at Parizade twice before. Outstanding in every way. But on our last visit the service was good, but the chef may had an off nite. My husband ordered the filet special and he had to send it back 3 times before getting it medium rare as ordered. The manager was reluctant to speak with us. Although he finally came over at the end of our meal to apologize and graciously comped our meal. We will return as the food is generally delicious. And the desserts are especially to die for!
Meal prices were high for what you received-had to fill up on bread!! Waitress had an attitude and didn't service the table well. Sweet tea was ordered by a few, but she didn't bother to tell them they would have to add sweetener. We had to hail other wait staff, for drink refills. The bill ended in $.35, the change received had been rounded up to the next dollar-I don't appreciate that, guess I should have paid with a credit card then the short change would have been the restaurant's!! Not likely to return.
Seafood appetizer was wonderful and good value. Pasta was awful--ravioli served in a soup broth rather than a sauce; took it out of bowl and ate it by itself; had specifically asked for Parmesan but it was not provided when pasta arrived; requested again and by the time it came, food was lukewarm and half finished. Requested feta to replace gorgonzola on salad, and it never came. When plates were being cleared, waitress noted she had forgotten it and apologized. Cost of 2 appetizers, vegetable side, and shared pasta was $58. Other than the seafood, very poor value. Reinforced our decision to rarely if ever eat out.
