This was our 3rd visit since they opened. We miss La Tasca, but enjoyed their new Greek restaurant.

I was really looking forward to having a great Greek restaurant nearby without having to all the way to Greek town. Sadly this is not the place. Very noisy! Not one iota of noise abatement so really impossible to have a conversation. Service was very slow, took ten minutes before anyone asked us for our drink order. By then we knew what we wanted for food. We tried to order the lamb special. But they were out. There are several lamb dishes but we weee told they ran out of all the lamb! So we pivoted to moussaka and pasticcio. When our order came out only the pasticcio was delivered and we were told they were out of moussakka and to pick something else. Not wanting to go for a third choice and wait we split the one dish that was delivered. BTW it was not even hot, just like warm. We’ll never come back.

Ambiance and vibe was wonderful. Services was good. Food was just average. Saganaki was over cooked as well as the Greek chicken. Shrimp kabab was good. Credit card fee was higher than most restaurants.

The ambiance overall was very nice. The noise level was over the top. Very difficult to hold a conversation or even enjoy the meal in the room we were seated. Service was good. Food was good. My stuffed chicken breast was a little overdone, somewhat dry. The mousaka, salad and cod were all good as well as the grilled calamari. I would not rush back, it was just too noisy! For the money spent, not sure I feel money we got are money’s worths.

We are Greek. This was a very pleasant dining experience, capped off by a server who spoke Greek! The traditional dishes were on a par with the other top-notch Greek restaurants in the area. We will definitely dine here again!

My husband and I loved La Tasca. We were excited to try out, as well as support. the owners’ new venture of turning this into a Greek place. 6 of us went out last night and was not impressed. Our drinks took a long time to get. They were out of 3 of the 6 dishes we tried to order. Our food took over an hour to be served. They trickled out, not arriving at the same time. Half of our food was cold. I had the gyro plate (along with 2 other companions due to so many other dishes being sold out)- they got normal sized pita slices. I received the appetizer-sized pita wedge. Our waiter didn’t even bring it up or try to bring me extra (I guess they ran out of pita too). We received feta fries without the feta. (Cold too). We had put down we were celebrating a birthday and wanted dessert: but after all the disasters and never being able to flag down our waiter- we passed on staying for dessert. We had been there for over 2 hours already. I had to flag down the hostess just to ask for our check and boxes. We may try it again after the hype has calmed down. I’m unsure as to how they could run out of so many things and be so chaotic when you have to make reservations to go there. I miss La Tasca. I feel there are so many Greek restaurants all around this area and no tapas places.

Just a heads up on wait time for reservation! We had a reservation for 6:15, it was packed when we arrived. Hostess said we would have a 15 minute wait because of so many diners waiting for tables. The time came and went and still standing and waiting. I went hostess as well as my husband. This was a dinner for our daughter so it wasn’t just us waiting. Finally we were seated at 6:50. The owners have been in the restaurant business they should know how to schedule. It was a lively place, Saganaki was very good and the chicken rice soup, the Greek salad were very good. My daughter and i had the Gyro Plate the meat was dry, my husbands Greek chicken was good and SIL fish was good. Will I go back, yes. Will give them another chance. Our server was excellent! Sorry can’t remember her name.

This is a brand new authentic Greek restaurant in downtown Arlington Heights. It is amazing. Great menu. Come hungry, the portions are quite generous. We never take home to-go containers at restaurants, but here we had to. And now we have another meal to enjoy at home. We began our dinner with an appetizer of 3 dolmades, but it was hard to chose from so many interesting apps. The dolmades were excellent, served with a traditional egg-lemon sauce. For entrees we chose spanakopita, finely ground spinach mixed with feta cheese and herbs and baked in a flaky filo. Best I have ever had! My wife ordered vegetarian moussaka - eggplant, zucchini, potatoes and a béchamel sauce, baked in a bowl. A very tasty dish. We had to try the baklava for desert. It did not disappoint, and again a huge serving. Prices are reasonable and the ambience is light and airy. The staff is friendly and efficient. The menu has lots of seafood and some kabobs that looked huge. Many new dishes to try on our next visits, which will be many.
