To honor this, we have brought together the best of the old and the new - in both cuisine and atmosphere. Parcel 32 incorporates the flavors and layered heritage of the coastal South in a refined, yet relaxed environment that reflects the building's history, as well as the modern influences of today.
442 King Street was built in 1837 and was at one point the peninsula's highest-volume bakery for 75 years. Later, the home sat in vacant disrepair for years. In 1998, Patrick Properties bought it to return it to its former glory, helping launch the restoration of the Upper King St we know today. Much of Upper King's revitalization can be tied back to the Patricks and the work they've done to restore Charleston's hidden gems.
Please bring back the brussel sprout small plate - we LOVED it.
Everything else we've had is deliciouw as well, but those brussel sprouts ... heavenly!
Outstanding food, fresh and hot ingredients. Excellent drinks- even when we asked to make them extra strong! Can’t wait to go back and make this a regular spot. Try and get a spot upstairs or on the patio deck- beautiful.
Went for brunch. Food was terrific, atmosphere was cool, service was great.
Service was a bit slow but that didn’t take away from the fantastic food and a menu that pleased everyone!!!
We were seated outside on the 2nd floor piazza - I didn't even know it was there! There's only a few tables so it was relatively private and quiet. So nice. There's plenty of indoor space on both floors as well. The food is varied, reasonably priced, and delicious. The menu changes with the season. Their Smash Burger is one of the best burgers in town.
Family in town. Great celebration. Ate at Halls Chophouse last night and Parcel 32 today. This was by far the more interesting and fun meal. We lived every second of it.
Thank you so much for joining us, Christopher! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed everything and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Brunch was wonderful! Service was great, ambiance lovely and food delicious! Will definitely be back and will bring friends and family in :)
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! You'll have to come back again soon for dinner... we just rolled out our new fall menu, so lots of new dishes to try!
The food was very good. We both had the baked oysters and the snapper. The fish preparation was with an Asian flair and needed a little starch(rice) to help enjoy the sauce. A spoon had been provided but the sauce was too salty for eating without some food accompaniment. The layout of the restaurant is not suitable for date night. Couples should not have to share space with an adjoining table of six...way too noisy.
The restaurant was wonderful. We were seated promptly and offered drinks while we waited for the rest of our party. They didn’t push us to order quickly. The food was delicious. Two ordered hamburgers, two fish of the day, one each chicken, and shrimp & crab. Don’t miss the green tomato pie for dessert! (It’s shareable, but you won’t want to. The design and style of the restaurant is lovely and it is very comfortable, with sufficient space between tables. It’s definitely a spot to return to.
Thank you so much for joining us! Come see us again soon... we just rolled out our new fall menu last week, so lots of new dishes (alongside the old favorites). Tip: Don't miss the cauliflower dish!
My husband and I were visiting Charleston and found Parcel 32 via Instagram. It did not disappoint! We had the hush puppies and the arugula salad to start. My husband had the burger and I had the catch of the day which was the red snapper. Both were also excellent! The burger is amazing and a must try if you love burgers. Everything was perfection!
We both had cocktails as well! They were delicious and refreshing. I had the afternoon tea not too sweet and really drinkable! And my husband had rye tai and he really enjoyed it!
Hi Jorie - We're so happy to hear you found us via Instagram! Thank you so much for choosing Parcel 32 for your night out and for sharing your experience. We agree the burger is amazing (although we may be biased...). Next time you're in town, come see us on a Tuesday for our Burger + Beer for $10 night!
One the very best meals we've enjoyed in downtown Charleston. The NC Apple Salad, Blistered Shishitos and the Farmers Plate were outstanding. Service was spot on and the ambience extremely pleasant.
Thank you, Paula! Be sure to come see us again early next month for the rollout of some more of our incredible fall dishes!
Great experience! Chef was amazing and the service was unmatched
Burger was amazing but also greatly under cooked. You should really ask guests how they would like their meat prepared when ordering.
What a treasure! Amazing food with unique flavors and great service!
Great experience at Parcel 32! Service was very professional and the menu is fabulous. Some very nice and unique flavor combos that made for a really nice meal.
Without question, one of the best meals I’ve had in years. Our waiter was incredible and the decor of the restaurant was impeccable. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much, Kimberley! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Absolutely amazing unique menu, incredible flavor, impeccable service, fun yet decadent desserts and fantastic cocktails! We can’t say enough compliments of parcel 32! Beautiful decor made the ambience 10/10 as well. Last thing, we had a wonderful surprise that it was restaurant week and have to say it was by far the BEST restaurant week 3 course meal we’ve ever had across the country!!
Thank you so much for your review! And, you know, Restaurant Week has actually been extended through this Sunday, so you still have time to come take advantage of it again :)
The meal was excellent and Conor who served us was outstanding. Our first time to dine at Parcel 32 and this is a keeper
Hi Gerry - Thank you for your review and for dining with us! We're so happy you enjoyed your experience. Come see us again soon!
Wonderful food. Cute place. Great service. We had the pork belly and the patty melt. Both were very good. Our only disappointment was in the value of the drink. We ordered a carafe of the spritz. Based on what you get and the price you are better off ordered drinks individually which is a little shady. All in all tho I’d still recommend.
Delicious dinner! Celebrated my birthday and was treated to a little birthday surprise by our waiter. Very sweet. Highly recommend!
We went for restaurant week and the food was great! We liked that it was very fresh and local. They also donated 25% of their specialty cocktail to Charleston Pride week. It’s great to see a business reach out to the community. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. The general manager was very nice and made you feel welcomed. Loved the atmosphere!
Thank you so much for your review and for joining us during your night out! We hope to see you again soon.
Outstanding dinner! I highly recommend the 38oz ribeye!!! Definitely enough to share. Beautiful restaurant with awesome staff. Our waitress was Allie and she was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable on their offerings.
Server was very knowledgeable. The drinks were great. The food was amazing. Made it here for restaurant week.
We were greeted cordially at the door. Our server Ray was very personable and knowledgeable about the food and the wine he took the time to explain different parts of the menu. I had the swordfish my wife the chicken it was all done perfectly with everything in balance. We would recommend Percel 32 for a great meal from start to finish.
Thank you for your kind words, Michael. We're so happy you chose us for your night out and look forward to your next visit!
What a fantastic find. We drove down to Charleston for an event at the Gaillard Center and selected Parcel 32 based on the reviews. This place hit all the marks! The hush puppies were fantastic. Main courses perfectly prepared and delicious. Cindy tried the tomato pie for desert based on assurances from our waitress - it was amazing! Service perfect, and everyone was welcoming. As we walked away we both agreed - we'll definitely be back!
Great time with great friends! Oysters & tomato pie were on point!!
Trip with kids and parents
Its hard not to gush about our experience. Our service was wonderful and the wait staff was helpful with recommendations and really knew the menu from ingredients to parings- She even offered to modify if anyone had allergies or sensitivities. Each dish was a good portion size but also offered just a tad more for taking home. The dining areas consist of a bar area where meals can be had and a dining room area with nicely spaced and sized tables and nice indirect lighting. Guests varied from casual meal at the bar to date night to celebration of life events and all was managed nicely by the staff. It was a tasty meal and we have added it to one of many great placed to return to in Charleston.
Great service, atmosphere, food & drinks. Will definitely be back!
My husband and I truly enjoyed our dining experience at Parcel 32 on Saturday evening! We are always eager to try different restaurants when visiting Charleston. Our server, Alyssa, thoroughly enhanced our dining experience! She was honest about the best dishes versus the most popular which encouraged us to chose outside our typical food comfort zones. Two words - Tomato pie! Kudos to making our dining experience so enjoyable! Cheers - Jennifer
Thank you for sharing your experience, Jennifer! We're so glad you made it in to see us during your visit to Charleston. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit!
The food was incredible. Very creative cuisine. The attention to creativity and the wonderful uses of spices made each dish a mouthwatering one! Alyssa was spot on with her knowledge of each item and her recommendations. Ian, the manager, made us feel so welcome. You can tell he loves what he is doing and the restaurant certainly seems to be doing very well under his leadership. We mentioned it was our 19 Year Anniversary and they were so gracious with their special kudos. Parcel 32 is one of the reasons Charleston is truly culinary city.
This place sucks. Literally not worth the food... we got the bleu crab and shrimp and the farmers something. It was literally rice with some seafood. The SA broke our wine bottle cork, and our sever was so sucky. I brought my dad here to stay away from touristy places and it sucked. Not impressed by anything.
Hi Olivia. We welcome honest feedback and are saddened your experience fell short. It's rare that a cork breaks, and I hope our remedy of not charging you for that bottle and presenting you with a new one showed our commitment to making it right. The Shrimp + Blue Crab Rice is a rice-based dish w/ shrimp + blue crab, as noted. For a more protein-focused dish, we suggest the beef or fish entrees. Thank you again for your 2 reviews. Please trust we will use your feedback to better our restaurant.
Way too loud. Service was amazing. Cold cucumber soup was simply delicious.
This was our first time and we went on a Thursday, so the restaurant was quiet. We started with a drink in "The Parlor" upstairs. Great ambience and very innovative cocktail menu. They also serve light eats there. We were seated downstairs for dinner. Lovely ambiance and excellent service. Our favorites were the appetizers. We had a fig appetizer that we practically licked the plate, the hush puppies were very different and very good, and the shishito peppers were also outstanding. The three of us decided to order the rib eye stake. We were told it was 38 oz of meat (bone was not weighted in). The presentation was fantastic, served sliced on a wood platter, surrounded by smashed potatoes and various veggies that had been baked. They were spicey, but not overly so. The disappointment came in the steak. It was grissly, and done more than medium rare. We all could deal with fat...that's to be expected, but a good rib eye should not have sinew in it (and this steak had lots of it). I would go back but would not order the steak.
Thank you so much for your candid feedback and for your kind words. We're happy to hear you enjoyed most of your experience with us, and we certainly appreciate your feedback on the steak. We are constantly striving to improve every aspect of your dining experience with us, and reviewers like yourself play such a big part in that, as we take your feedback very seriously. For your next visit, come see us on a Wednesday for Bottles + Pearls, with half price bottles of wine and $1.50 oysters!
This was my second time eating here and the restaurant did not disappoint.
Try the fig appetizer....it was to die for!
Thank you for your feedback, Elizabeth. Come see us again next month for Restaurant Week!
The staff were absolutely wonderful and the Tuesday might special of a smash burger & a pint for $15.00 fantastic.
Excellent food, excellent service, large servings. We'll be back!
I was disappointed by parcel 32 brunch. We have been for dinner previously and everything was amazing but this time the food was average for the price. The service was also very lacking. It wouldn’t be my choice for brunch again.
AMAZING DINNER!! Great music, lovely seating, incredible food, terrific staff. Everything our family of 5 could have asked for!
Thank you for choosing Parcel 32 for your family night out. We know you have a lot of choices in Charleston and are so happy you stopped by. Come see us again soon!
On our short trip to Charleston this was our second time to Parcel 32. This place was our favorite for an upscale dining experience. The octopus and oysters were top notch. Highly recommend to anyone in Charleston.
Thank you for making Parcel 32 a part of your visit to Charleston! We hope to see you again next time you're in town!
