To honor this, we have brought together the best of the old and the new - in both cuisine and atmosphere. Parcel 32 incorporates the flavors and layered heritage of the coastal South in a refined, yet relaxed environment that reflects the building's history, as well as the modern influences of today.
442 King Street was built in 1837 and was at one point the peninsula's highest-volume bakery for 75 years. Later, the home sat in vacant disrepair for years. In 1998, Patrick Properties bought it to return it to its former glory, helping launch the restoration of the Upper King St we know today. Much of Upper King's revitalization can be tied back to the Patricks and the work they've done to restore Charleston's hidden gems.
Food was excellent. Creative, beautiful and great combination of flavors. We had the duck, chicken and beef loin. All equally great!
The service , ambiance and food was amazing! Went there with a group of friends and had an amazing time
The food was fantastic, but service was bad. Our server was disinterested and didn't engage, and left us for long periods of time without checking in. Our bill was wrong, and it took almost twenty minutes to get that corrected and pay.
The best part of this meal was the bread, but this is also not automatically brought to your table. The slow cooked beef did not appear to be so at all, but just a regular steak. The pecan hush puppies, soup, and trout were just ok. Have a drink and the bread and move on
Overall incredible dining experience. I would do things I am not proud of for that beef loin recipe.
The guest of the hotel reported back what a wonderful time they had - suzie mcdowell, concierge
First time at this restaurant and it was a great experience. Will definitely try it again.
Great drinks and food at the bar. Nice helpful staff.
We were very pleased with our dinners at Parcel 32. The restaurant was very busy and the staff, who remained pleasant throughout, were hard pressed to deliver timely service. It took quite a while for us to have our complete meal -- well over 2 hours. I don't think I will go back on a weekend, but I will go back!
Great venue. Spacious dining area and separate bar area. Friendly, warm welcome. Small but excellent menu with a very good cocktail and wine list. Food was excellent as was the service.
Waitress was very knowledgeable and food was delicious. I did not enjoy my selection of wine but totally my fault for not speaking up
Wonderful dinner. Split the pecan smoked fish spread and then the trout which was amazing. Beautiful space and great service.
This was my first time at Parcel 32. I was very impressed. The wine list was good. I had the slow cooked beef and it was excellent. The restaurant had a nice decor. I will be back.
Thanks, Bill! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Beef tartare was amazing!
Service was outstanding.
Food was beyond
Live music wasn’t to loud to have a conversation.
Can’t wait to return.
The atmosphere is great and the service was excellent!
Decided to try Parcel 32 for brunch with four friends as I was visiting this past weekend and I'm glad we did! Attentive service from Ashleigh, delicious food and a chill atmosphere made P32 a terrific start to a Sunday. Kudos to the kitchen - the Hot Chicken & Waffles and Lobster Toast were spot on!! We'll all be back!
Thank you so much for coming to see us and for sharing your brunch experience! Definitely come back for dinner next time you are in town.
Went for restaurant week and the food was phenomenal, however the service was incredibly slow- sometimes 30mins between courses. We also found plastic in one of our dishes and mentioned it to the waiter with little response from him/he was very blasé about it. I’m sure restaurant week determined the service, so would definitely go back on a normal week. Aside from the service and plastic, the food itself was amazing. Loved the chicken and short rib. The banana bread pudding was also out of this world. Definitely still recommend and will return.
We went there while being on Whole 30 and they couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful. Probably should have called ahead to let them know about our dietary restrictions but were wonderful.
Superb service and excellent service - our new favorite restaurant in Charleston SC. Can't wait to go again.
Server was kind, helpful and provided great suggestions. Manager Ian came to the table to help with menu selection and adjustments to accommodate gluten free requirements.
Food was incredible and we enjoyed our experience!
Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. I tried the Caesar salad, and it was a triumph of delicious flavors and textures including bresaola, and crispy boquerones. That was merely the 2nd course, although it could've been an entree serving size. The pork schnitzel was a well done twist on traditional, with crisp fried mustard greens on top and celery root puree and dijon sauce on the plate.
The brown sugar bourbon cake, with bourbon buttercream, butterscotch sauce, and a "Ritz Crunch" cookie was as over the top rich and delicious as it sounds. An excellent meal served by a knowledgeable, and helpful with wine choices, wait staff. From the hostess who seated me with the waiter I requested, to a fond goodbye on leaving, it was a most enjoyable experience and I was more than satisfied with dinner.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed the Caesar salad (as well as the rest of your experience), which just recently made its debut on the menu. We very much look forward to your next visit!
Very slow service.
Delicious meal and love the atmosphere and decor. Will return! Thanks!
What an absolutely lovely evening w/delicious and surprising flavors to satisfy our palette while the staff treated us so welcoming-like family. Portions are generous and it was such a great deal to enjoy and savor four courses for only $55.00! The chef even came out to say hello for our special occasion request and he even offered how his culinary team create some of the melt in your mouth delight! Definite Charleston fine delectable dining and charm w/personable staff that ensure to contribute their special hospitality touch for an extraordinary experience to remember.
Hi Susan - Thank you so much for your kind words and for joining us for Restaurant Week! Our team takes great pride in what they do and love the opportunity to share that passion with our guests. Come see us again soon!
Food and service was great. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. Three of us tried different dishes off the menu and were well pleased with our meal. We’ll definitely be returning.
Food was delicious
Service was perfection
Wine kept flowing....
So many GF options, I was giddy with excitement 😆
We visited Parcel 32 for restaurant week. Everything was delicious and the service was great! We had a really nice evening and we will definitely be back!
The menu was not the same as listed on the restaurant week site. Not only was the menu different, the price was different. On restaurant week site it was listed as 3 for $40, Parcel 32's menu was 4 for $55, and the entre we went for wasn't on their menu. We were very disappointed in what we had to eat, we will definitely not go back!
Hi Carol - So sorry for the mix up! It looks like you were actually looking at last year's Restaurant Week menu. If you go to the official Restaurant Week website or our own website (under "Menus" or "Happenings"), you will find the current menu. Our menu changes regularly based on seasonal availability, so our Restaurant Week dishes are never the same year-to-year. We also chose to add a fourth course this year. Again, apologies for the mix up. We hope you reconsider and will come see us again!
In a word fantastic! This is a great restaurant in every aspect. Starting with the great selection of bourbon and scotch in the bar to the wonderful simple choices on the menu. Do not miss the grilled oysters and the hush puppies as appetizers. The special chicken is a.taste.sensation as is the cast iron skillet duck. The staff is friendly and very helpful to out of town visitors like us. Don't miss this truly outstanding restaurant.
Thank you so much for your glowing review! We're so happy you chose to spend your evening with us, and we hope to see you again next time you're in town!
Parcel is one of my absolute favvvvvvves in Charleston, especially for a date night. The duck and the clams are a must try!!! I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and while it’s always amazing and unparalleled, I literally miss the duck when I leave!
Thank you so much, Caroline! We love that you choose to spend date night with us. You'll have to come see us again soon since you haven't tried everything on the menu yet (ALMOST everything doesn't count!). Plus, there's always something new to try :)
Great charming, sophisticated ambiance. The kind of place with an adult vibe you can enjoy without a young college crowd creating a different atmosphere.
The food was fantastic! The truffle potato soup was outstanding and the beef loin with vegetables and the chicken with grits were delicious. Make hard to save room for dessert as the apple crisp was amazing. Service was also great! Definitely worth a trip!
Great Happy Hour pricing and bar service. Interesting decor and comfortable bar seating. Waitress was friendly and knowledgable. They were out of the whole fish which is what attracted us to the restaurant and is a featured dish, pretty disappointing. I had the swordfish "fish of the day" special. Two small medallions of fish, maybe 4-5 oz total and overcooked. The accompanying bok choy and mushrooms were splendid. My wife had the duck breast and gave me a taste, is was excellent. Roasted cauliflower appetizer was good and a generous portion. Kumamoto oysters were microscopic, I think they picked through them and served the nice ones at the New Year's Eve dinner....... Charleston is a foodie's paradise, this was paradise at average.
They have a very limited menu and were out of 3 main dishes already at 7:30pm on a Saturday. That being said what we ate was very good and the service was friendly.
Our server, Ray, was one of the best servers I’ve ever had and the food and drinks were delicious m!! Michael Connolly, the bartender was lovely.
Small and carefully curated menu of local and seasonal foods expertly prepared with service to match.
Parcel 32 was delicious. I had oysters with pesto and potato and leek soup. They were delicious and I had a really nice conversation with my dad here. Overall, a good place.
