We were here for Sunday brunch. There were not too many parties at 1.15pm, so service was very fast and attentive. We had the Viennese pastries with fig jam for starters, followed by crab cake Benedict and a seafood Cobb salad. Some raspberry sorbet made a nice finish. A pleasant way to celebrate an anniversary. And a place we'll consider again on a future trip to San Diego.
I had a blast with my friends and we all enjoyed the food.
Fantastic place! Would go back time and time again
Excellent French food in a very nice setting.
Noise level on Saturday night with piano player/singer in bar area was way too loud.
Really good food and service. It has food for the pescaterian to the beef lover.
Love the food and this place but the last 2 times we've been here, service seems to be lacking. Often times too much times lapses between checking in on us.
The restaurant has become too noisy for us. We find that the loud music makes conversation too difficult. What a shame; the food is better than ever, but we probably won't be back for a while. We will be looking for a quieter place to eat before the Symphony performances.
this is our go to restaurant near downtown SD. wonderful meal and great list of wines by the glass.
The food was ok, but overpriced. The name of the restaurant is misleading we expected a true French Bistro but is is really a mix. There were very few true French dishes.
Nice food, good service and a great deal on champagne!
Parc is our go to restaurant. In addition to the food being delicious, the service is excellent. Sam, the manager, goes out of her way to make sure everything is on point. All of the staff is attentive. Their wine list is great - their wine by the glass selection is the best. Their 3 course dinner is great deal.
Such a beautiful restaurant - it felt very European, casual yet cozy and classy. We really enjoyed our evening. The service was spot on as we were not in a rush and our waiter did not push us at all. The food was delicious and we all want to return to enjoy more from the menu.
Always a great experience, delicious lobster tacos to start, seared crusted ahí tuna, caesar salad, Zaatar seasoned Rack of lamb and Steak and Frites... for dessert we had the lemon bar & raspberry gelato. All this with a great Pisoni Estate Pinot Noir and superior service from Jerry and the staff... Excellent!!!
A beet salad that had 4 slices of a beet and a huge serving of arugula for $14.00 outrageous‼️
The waitress never asked if we would like separate checks. I ended up paying $20 more than what I ordered.
Will not revisit
Loved it! will definitely be back. Had lunch outside and even though it faces the street (5th Avenue) it seemed very private and well covered and it was nice having my dog with me. Food was quite good, as was the service. Nice selection for lunch - didn't look at the dinner menu. Was surprised how large it was inside and lovely too.
High quality delicious meal. Visited Paris this summer and we found our experience here very reminiscent of classic cuisine. Will definitely revisit.
This is our favorite place. Sam and the staff are all so wonderful.
Consistently delicious and such nice people. We love going here and highly recommend them.
I went here with some friends for my birthday recently. The waiter was absolutely horrible and right away he scolded me and my friends for saying we had plans in a few hours so we would only be ordering drinks and appetizers. We are all in our late 20s and much younger than all other guests there. He took our drink order and that was all we saw of him for the rest of the night. He purposefully avoided our table and we couldn’t even put our food order in or order more drinks. This was honestly the worst service imagineable. He went to all other tables around us and was super attentive to them. We had to get a passing bus boy get our waiters attention. Our waiter acted so shocked that we were leaving after he ignored us for 40 minutes with menus in front of us and empty drinks. This almost ruined my birthday. I will never go here again if this is how they want to treat paying customers.
The dishes we ordered were very good to excellent. The excellent dishes included the mussels, the bison meatballs and the brussel sprouts.
I went to Parc Bistro while visiting in San Diego. What a joy! We originally requested indoor seating to be closer to the live music, but it was a bit loud so we opted to sit outside. The outdoor area is open to the indoor area, so it was the perfect place to enjoy the music. The performer, Don LeMaster, is fabulous. It was another great treat when his fiancee got up and graced us with a lovely opera solo.
As for food, we dined on a variety of small plates and wine. Everything was incredibly delicious. I can highly recommend the Lobster Arancini, Baby Roasted Beet Salad, Boulettes De Bison (bison meatballs), and the Dungeness Lump Crab Cake. Our server, Nicholas, was wonderful - very knowledgeable and perfectly attentive but never overbearing. I would definitely ask for him again.
Parc Bistro is a neighborhood gem. There were many regulars there; lots of greetings between tables. Several couples were dancing to the great tunes. I think the live music is on Saturdays, but would recommend calling the restaurant to be sure.
This was a fun place to have food prior to the event later on in the night.
My lunch was ruined because of the 3 dogs and a cat permitted in the restaurant. A CAT!! Fur flying everywhere. These were not service animals. The pet owners appeared to be regulars and that somehow made it OK for them to violate health codes. Service slow. Food good, but I won't return. Also charged double the advertised price for restaurant week.
This was our second visit, once for lunch and now for dinner. It was restaurant week, so it was a fixed menu. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. Can't wait to come back.
Always great service Nd quality foof
We were there for Restaurant Week, opening night! We were all pleased with our meals. I loved the escargot appetizer. Others enjoyed the beet salad and ahi. All enjoyed it. The salmon was very tasty as was the filet which several of us had. Dessert of lemon tart was perfect, tart and sweet at the same time. I am glad to have gone for the restaurant week and will DEFINITELY come back.
Food mediocre fish tasted “fishy” - not fresh
Service very slow, took almost 1hr to get food
Definitely would NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND
This was my 3rd visit, and the only one to disappoint, based on the ambiance. Service was gracious and attentive. Food generally excellent - exceptional crab cake (moist and flavorful), brightly dressed beet salad, and rich short rib bourguignon. Of less interest: tomato basil soup, and lamb. My dining partner said delicious but almost impossible to get the meat off the bone. She gave up.
The fail was in our seating. We arrived early - the restaurant was quiet and the table for 2 seemed fine. But there was a private room directly behind, which was empty when we arrived and within 2 hours held 80-100 guests. I’m glad restaurants can host these events and I participate in several a year, understanding the impact it can have on other guests. The only path leading into the private dining room was right next to our table...sometimes groups of 5-6 people waited in line to enter, literally inches from our plates. At one point a young woman leaned to her side to see into the room - and her long hair swing in front of my dining partners face and over her food. it was a packed room and a slow process). This went on for the better part of 45 minutes. The professional photographer took literally every attendee’s picture in front of a backdrop , and each picture was accompanied by a flash. They seemed to be having a great time and when finally every one was in, the sliding glass wall was shut along with the sheer curtains, the disruption quieted down....at that point we were finishing up our meal.
So why was our table where it was? This was a major oversight and there was no reason for it. It would have been thoughtful to just forego the table for 2, allowing more room for guests to enter the private dining area, and not disrupt those dining.
In retrospect - perhaps we should have requested a move, but the restaurant by that time was quite full, we were mid-meal and had no idea how bad it would get.
Ultimately what could have been a wonderful experience was not.
French Onion au Gratin soup is to die for!
Amazingly delicious food. Excellent service. Great wine selection. Pleasant atmosphere.
Waiter was excellent great fun
We live in Bankers Hill and love to dine at Parc Bistro. While always good over the years, it seems to be getting better all the time. The atmosphere is friendly and upscale without being stuffy.
Reliably hiqh quality experience. Everything we had was perfectly cooked and beautifully prepared from appetizer through dessert. Prices are moderate for the quality of the meal, including a good selection of wines. We ate there on a Sunday with a very sparse group of diners, and were advised of a significant number if menu items that weren't available because, the waiter told us, "It's the weekend." The one hitch in the service occurred while we were eating our appetizer and enjoying a drink: our soup showed up. They did take it back, but when we were finally ready, it arrived a bit shopworn, but still quite good.
I don't know if the desserts are house-made, but the two we had (chocolate lava cake and a lemon tart) were both delicious, and a fitting end to a satisfying meal. We'll definitely be back.
Wonderful ambiance, great service and outstanding food!
The food was delicious, and our server was very good. The only negative was that it took a long time for our food to arrive. But our server was very attentive with cocktails and bread, so we just enjoyed being there.
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant
Once a week for us!
Great service, superb setting, outstanding food.
Very good meal. Nice service. A bit pricey. My income doesn’t go up with restaurant price ces!
Interesting well-prepared French food. Service was pretty attentive, but took a while to get our bill as we were headed to a theater performance.
Great meal and a great job by our waiter, Nick. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Spinach and the tapenade were MUCH too garlicky but everything else was perfect.
