I had steak frites, will get grouper next time!
This was a very disappointing experience. Poached eggs on all 4 dishes were overcooked. Cutlery (knives) dull so a struggle to cut toasted bread! Had to ask several times for a wine list, then after ordering a bottle were told they no longer had that vintage. Coffee and dessert service took FOREVER to be served - at least half an hour from ordering to being served. Just not on their game (and ours was not the only table. I heard a gentleman from the table next to us ask "can we get some service here?"
This was our 2nd visit.............will not be returning anytime soon. Unfortunate.
Steak and eggs was a very poor value. We had to order another order of steak. For $24 the steak should have been a real portion. Server seemed to keep forgetting about us.
Overall pretty good. Our waiter was good but overwhelmed. waited for drinks,food etc. The room needed more waitstaff. food was pretty good. i would go back

The food was excellent. I was very unhappy with the service I received. I have been to many places before, however having to wait 15-20 Min just to get drinks. Even though my fiancé and me let the waitress know, it didn’t seem to speed things up. The food was excellent the service could use some work.

We've been going to Paramour for years but this particular night was disappointing. It took 40 minutes for us to receive our cocktails and an hour for us to receive our first course. We did make a reservation. Although the seating was fine, the group next to use had 3 children who screamed and threw food, that was a little distracting. My wife asked for no anchovies on her salad and instead got anchovies and anchovies sauce. We felt the waiter should have known the type of sauce and sway her away from it. Then The bisque was so think, it tasted too spicy and too thin to be considered bisque. Both the burger and steak was good, we left and went elsewhere for dessert. For the cost, the experience was poor. Our waiter, although clearly busy and overwhelmed never really checked on us and we got a second water after our main course was finished.
Made a reservation for the main dining room but was seated in the bar hallway. Service was terrible. Waiter was impatient and not attentive. Food was good except for the hair in the cheesecake. We had fun anyway but service was atrocious.
All aspects of Paramour were enjoyable. A great find

Good service. Nice dining room with tables nicely spaced for conversation. Server was courteous and helpful and we did not feel rushed. Grouper, salmon entrees and beef short rib dinners were enjoyed very much by our party of 4. Good draft beer selection.

The service was terrible. There was 1 waiter and about 4 bussers and the hostess and 2 peyote behind the bar - all of whom just stood around and acted snooty. I ordered a drink and when it didn't come for 15 minutes we walked over to the bar and were told the blood orange puree was frozen so they made me a mimosa instead. Then tried to charge me for the blood orange Bellini!! There was no communication between members of the staff. Our waiter never came to check on us - we had to go find him to get the check. When our food was brought out we were missing two things and the woman who brought it to us seemed annoyed that she had to go back to get the missing items. I overheard a similar issue at another table. The food was good but not worth going back for since the service was so awful.
Our waiter was extremely thoughtful to this older group celebrating a birthday. We appreciated it. I had the best eggs Benedict EVER.
The Bloody Mary mix-your-own drinks were brought with vodka in the glass and filled up with ice. Traditionally, ice is used sparingly in a Bloody Mary. I would suggest discussing that with the bartender. I have been ordering them for years and this is the first time i ever saw that.
we have been to Paramour several times. I am event coordinator and decorator. My company, Arrangements Unlimited has done several events there as well. We really enjoyed our experience. All around a very good night.,
We went to dinner with another couple and had a lovely dinner. Our table was nice and roomy (I hate being crammed at a small table). The ambiance is perfect in Paramour....very chic but not stuffy. The food is excellent. We loved the tuna poke and grilled octopus. The beef short ribs were delicious as my meal and the steak frites was enjoyed by two of the four of us. The fourth entree was a homemade pasta special that was also delicious!!! Overall a great meal....you can’t go wrong. Extra nice bonus....the coat closet is heated so our coats were toasty warm....which was welcome considering how bitter cold it was outside!!! Nice touch!!
Our Paramour experience was excellent, except for the service level. They may have been understaffed, but a single waiter for the entire lunch crowd on a Friday was insufficient. Took too long, and there was one order error. Nevertheless, the manager was very fair, and we would not hesitate to return there again. Looking forward to next time.

We visited Paramour on a Tuesday evening. From a selection of half-priced wines available Monday and Tuesday, we selected a Pinot Grigio and a Tempranillo; both were very good. We started by sharing several small plates -- octopus, chilies stuffed with crab and a chef's special lobster roll -- and had principle plates of salmon, sea scallops and cioppino. Presentations were all pleasing, and the seafood was perfectly prepared and sauced. Very good service. A very pleasant meal. $300 for four (tip included).
Our reservation was for 2pm; when we got there there was barely any buffett items left and they broke down the bloody mary station (which I was going to order). I had to refil my own water and ask for birthday cake. Waiter seemed to have forgotten about us and there were no busboys present.
We found the food and service to be able excellent. Creative menu and friendly service. Great night out.
Better service than last few times. Greater still leaves the impression that we're a bother. Server, though, was exceptional.
It’s always delightful to have lunch at Paramour. Food, service, environment all work for me.
Not so good as was in the past! Waiter kept disappearing for long periods of time, and my Monte Christo was as if it sat for days. The gym was glazed over with the skin about a quarter of an inch deep and it was just not a pleasant situation my companion’s blueberry pancakes were good but they had sat under one of those heat lamps also. I have to say I don’t think I will go back. My companion and I used to eat there on occasion but we will no longer go back. Very bad experience especially since it wasn’t that busy and it was New Year’s day. If they were shorthanded they shouldn’t have open part of the dining room or something because I feel like you have to Have enough people or don’t open! Also the very large table next to us was so loud we could hardly talk to each other. As I said I will not be back.
I like Paramour but they were completely unprepared for New Years Eve. Unfortunately a bad experience!
Food was great, service atrocious. We were here last New Years and food and service were great. As a result we had a private party in April and a birthday dinner in October. Service at all was wonderful. Last night for New Years it was terrible. The waitress disappeared for long stretches. Food was brought to the wrong table. Soup brought without a spoon. Dessert without forks. No one, especially managers, seemed to care. Despite all of that the food was excellent. The special 5 course dinner was superb, especially the butternut squash gnocchi and the scallops. Based on last year it was not the fact that it was New Years Eve, just totally disorganized service with no supervision.
All items that we order were spectacular. The duck breast over mushrooms was a perfect medium rare, moist, tender over a bed of various fungi. The martini and manhattan were as good as you can get and with no chips of ice or watering down.
I would rank this restaurant on par with the best places we eat at in NYC.

My daughters were home for the holidays and we wanted a special dinner; Paramour met our expectations and then elevated them for next time. Our waiter, Moez, was especially helpful choosing our wine and drinks and his knowledge continued on to our entrees. The food was spectacular and the ambiance was sophisticated without being stuffy. Loved everything about our evening!
Was there for my wife’s birthday.
Everything was excellent service food etc.
The only drawback was being seated right next to the only other twosome while there was plenty of open tables.
Restaurant had no record of our reservation which had been made 3 weeks ago on Open Table. I neglected to bring along restaurant reservation confirmation. They did seat us however. They were very busy due to the Christmas holiday but the food was mediocre at best. We have been to Paramour on multiple occasions but they were not up to par this time.
Delicious Christmas dinner!! We love Paramour! Great gathering place for friends during the holidays, both for Sunday brunch or dinner. Innovative preparations and nice wine/cocktail list. Outstanding value, too!
We had dinner at Paramour on Christmas Day and both had the prix fixe 4-course menu and available the wine pairing. Initially the 2nd course was served a little faster than we preferred but after mentioning it to Kelvin, our waiter, everything was slowed downed so that we could enjoy a leisurely dinner. Without going into all 4-courses, we both had the Black Sea Bass for our entrees and found it to be delicious as were all of the courses. The wine pairings were equally good throughout the meal. Kudos to Kelvin for his service and knowledge of the wines being served.
Had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at Paramour. Lobster arancini, chestnut ravioli with duck, and a perfectly-cooked filet were all delicious. Service was attentive and the wine list was very reasonably priced.
With the dining room only one-third full, you'd think you would get the drinks from the bar in a reasonable time, not 50 minutes. After the first thirty minutes had elapsed, we were told a manager would make our drinks since the bar was so busy. We did wait another 20 minutes. Although this was a special occasion, we did not want to spend over 2 1/2 hours at dinner on a weeknight. This is the second horrible service experience we have had at Paramour. It will be our last.

The food and drinks were incredible and the service was great. I would definitely recommend Paramour to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion.
We went for dinner for my husband's birthday. Two of us ordered the prix fixe special. Our son is a vegetarian and ordered a large beet salad and the only vegetarian option, raviolis. The wine was half price and our pinot grigio was very good. My husband and I both ordered the chicken, which was large, tasty., and pretty. He had salad and I had the crab soup which was more corn than crab, but very tasty. There was sour dough and white bread and the sour dough was very good. Service was slow but attentive. The chocolate dessert was extremely rich and we took most of it home. They gave my husband ice cream and biscotti with a candle for his birthday, which was a nice touch and he enjoyed it.
