About
We came to celebrate a milestone birthday. Chef Michael printed and prepared a 5 course menu that was to die for! Each dish hit it out of the ball park, culminating with a surprise at the end ...wagyu beef over a bed of truffle mushrooms and drizzled with a truffle glaze ....absolutely divine! To end the meal there was a decadent croissant bread pudding with rum raisin ice cream. You again went over the top on this tonight, chef. Thank you for the most wonderful celebration!
the restaurant was just as an average restaurant. It was a disappointment for me. It was not bad but it was not good. It is just as same as the ones which are cheap restaurant. I cannot think that this restaurant is a part of Ritz Carlton Hotel.
Wonderful experience and very personalized. Hostess (Rosanna) wrote us a nice card with a beautiful drawing. Staff was attentive and friendly.
Awesome food and exceptional service! I will definitely come back.
Treated like a Queen. Loved the Food and the thoughtful gift from the staff. Will be back!
Everything was excellent except food. We opted for the vegetarian tasting menu. Except the risotto and dessert everything was bad. Beets were bitter. My idea of a good tasting menu does not include bitter raw beets! But the hostess and servers were so so good, that I tipped more than what I should have for a mediocre tasting food!
Best meal that I have ever had! I can't wait to go back.
Service was excellent however the food was alright for the price point.
Leslie & ALL STAFF FRIENDLY PROFESSIONAL COURTEOUS
We are local SF residents & enjoy participating helping our local economy so do try if in town participate in restaurant week
We have made every one since started for both lunch & dinner. BASED ON PREVIOUS OFFERINGS BY TRENDY POPULAR
places we were always disappointed by that special week’s offering and ordered ala carte vs the special prefix menu
This one blew us out the water for 65.65$ best quality ingredients deliciously showcased that finicky SF diners have come to expect
Delish wagyu tartare, duck breast, the chocolate cake dessert , even the latte( best restaurant end of meal memory)
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ENTIRE PARALLEL STAFF ,APPRECIATE THEIR OBVIOUS TEAMWORK*
Came here for restaurant week and everything from the food to service was perfect! I would definitely come again.
The short rib pancake starter was amazing!
great wine selection and quiet surroundings allows for easy meeting and catching up spot with friends.
The service was outstanding - my guest all felt very pampered.
Event afterwards at Legion of Honor.
Albert and the entire staff was excellent!
The food was excellent and well presented. Only criticism is that the time between courses took a little bit of time. Had a long wait, between starter and entree. Had the pleasure of witnessing a proposal which was magical and well orchestrated by the Ritz!
The service was poor. We were guests at the hotel and we had brunch Sunday morning. It took the waiter an extreme amount of time to take our order (EST -15-20 min). We called on someone from the kitchen and our waiter took notice and jumped in with several apologies. Then the time that it took to have our food served was extreme (EST 25+ min). He continued to forget requested condiments & drinks. I asked the food server for additional brown sugar for oatmeal and he brought brown packets of sugar. The curious thing is the restaurant was not extremely busy, which is what the waiter continued to apologize for. I guess that if a restaurant automatically adds a 20% tip then it doesn’t need to be earned through service. The food was good.
The restaurant, food, service, and decor is outstanding every time we go to eat. They have great menu selections and even change their menu for the seasons. The desserts are my favorite!
Excellent food, great service and surprisingly reasonably priced. Overall delightful experience.
Enjoyed an enjoyable New Years day breakfast. Difficult choosing from the desirable selections, but settled on the items below. Great staff and service as we expect at Ritz Carlton.
Excellent service; staff very accommodating; food amazing
Our NYE’s dinner was DELICIOUS and our server, Amy, was the BEST!!!! Courses were spaced and served perfectly, so really enjoyed each course, as well as our dinner conversations!!!
This was our second NYE’s dinner at Parallel 37 and we look forward to our third in December 2020!!!
Had Christmas dinner here. They only served a 4 course meal that was a $160 per person, without counting gratuity. Food was lackluster and insanely overpriced. Would definitely not recommend.
Christmas. Super slow. Waiter didn’t come to table for 30 minutes after we were seated. Live music ended early. Didn’t extend to end of dinner hours. For price and location, expect better from Ritz. Just m’eh.
Very slow after entree before dessert. Dessert was not worth waiting for. Very expensive for the meal. Would not do it again
We joined Parallel 37 for Christmas brunch, so we recognize that the holiday may have impacted the experience. But, the service was quite subpar, especially for the cost. We had to ask multiple times for water and drinks. The expeditors had to twice return to the kitchen with our food because our plates weren’t cleared. That also impacted the temperature and quality of our courses.
I don’t think we will be back as there are many better restaurants in the city.
Thank you for working Christmas Day ! The staff make this restaurant outstanding. We Went for Christmas -had a friend who wanted to join and they accommodated us with an extra seat. Our friend and I had food issues which the staff and chef accommodate. The menu was creative; delicious; satisfying and beautiful. Thank you again for making a fantastic Christmas dinner experience!
We went for Christmas dinner and felt that the restaurant missed on a lot of basic points. The food looked and tasted good, but all the sauces were lukewarm. We had to ask for bread. We filled our own wine glasses. Service was inattentive and slow. It shouldn't be this way in a $200 per person dinner. I give the f&b director credit. She stopped by the table to ask how things were and she ended up talking to us and listening for about 20 minutes. As ex-restaurant people, we appreciated that very much. But the basic point is still the same. With prices like that, service needs to be much better than it was.
Average food and average service
Everything was fine, not great. Should be better at the price.
We wanted to do something upscale for Xmas eve. Parallel did not disappoint! Great food, service, and of course wine. We will be back.
We ordered the tasting menu for six people. Although the first three courses were very appetizing and delicious, it took us over three hours to finish our meal because we had to wait over thirty minutes between each course. We also ordered a mocktail for one of the children in our group, and they had accidentally added alcohol into her drink! We had gone with the hopes of an amazing dinner, but we ended up exhausted just waiting for our food.
The hostess and our waiter were excellent. Our dishes were very tasty, but unfortunately were served at room temperature, which for me is not ideal. Soup should be served hot and it was less than warm. I asked them to warm it up and our waiter brought me a fresh one, and it was hot the way it's supposed to be. My steak was cold., although it was tasty. When the busboy came over with the main courses, I was still working on my appetizer and preferred not to leave the plates on the side as I had just started eating my soup... He seemed to be in a hurry for something - his manners were a bit abrupt unlike our waiter and I felt he was rushing me to finish my soup. The restaurant overall was not that busy.
Disappointing. You would think that the restaurant at this hotel would have good food and good service. Neither was the case. So many better options in San Francisco.
We celebrated our anniversary with the Chef's Tasting menu. The entire meal was extraordinary. Unlike many other multi course tasting menus, each course was a delight and the portion sizes were more than adequate. The pasta and crab with citrus was unique and exceptional, photo attached. At $125 per person, the dinner is very fairly priced! The service was perfect- thank you Justin and Zack for helping to make this a special evening.
The food was amazing, and the waiter was also amazing. But the ambiance can get a little touch up.
Outstanding experience. Two of us were vegan and the chef made outstanding entrees. We had a 3 year old and there was a great children s menu. Our server was very polite as was the Maitre D. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great restaurant inside the Ritz.
We never fail to be amazed by Chef Michael’s creations. Each time we dine at Parallel 37, we say it can’t possibly get any better, but amazingly, we are blown away!
Thank you Chef, for another outstanding dinning experience.
It was a bit quiet, very few people but lovely. The ambiance is cold, and feels huge.
We experienced the tasting menu with wine pairing for my husband’s birthday. Not only was the food phenomenal and customized to our individual tastes, the service was fantastic! Our server described each of the wines and made personal recommendations about wineries to visit in neighboring regions. The hostesses sent us on our way with a mini bottle of champagne to keep us celebrating!
One of the best dining experiences in San Francisco, and I only wish for more special occasions to do it again in the future!
Excellent omelette, freshly made kambucha, coffee an a+. Service is professional and unobtrusive .
Food is far more creative than the setting (or name) suggests.
