We haven't figured out why it took us so long to try Parallel, but my husband and I are hooked. There is an extensive variety of wines, bottled beers, and whiskeys, but it is the staff and the food that keep us coming back. All of the menu items are described as 'sharing plates' so you can feel free to order as little or as much as you like. Do not miss the grilled romaine salad, the baked cheese dip, or the new Hog Heaven burger. Come back next week and the staff will welcome you like old friends. Absolutely excellent!
Great selection of wine and unique menu that always impresses. I have been dining at Parallel for about a year and have always had positive experiences. I highly recommend it!
The food was delicious, the wine was on point, the live music created a great ambience. All around it was a very enjoyable experience! We will be back!
The "big board" meat & cheese tray is a great starter.
The pork belly is very good.
We got the entire dessert tray and shared it between four of us. Perfect way to go.
Normally I'm not into sharing my food but this place is really built around smaller portions and sharing.
Oh, got the 10 yr. port - buy the bottle and take it home - a little pricey per glass.
Great Father's Day brunch for a group of 9! The food and dessert selection was extensive and delicious, and service (both at the buffet and at our table) was friendly and fast.
Cynthia was our server and she was very attentive. She had a good understanding of all the menu items and wines available. We had never been there before, but we will certainly go back!
We chose to stop in for a mid-week date night based on Yelp reviews, and I'm glad we did! We originally opted for patio seating due to the gorgeous evening, but quickly moved indoors once our server gave us a tour and showed us the wine machine! We chose to snack on appetizers (sliders and duck fat fries were amazing!) while sampling wines on "Wine Machine Wednesdays" (20% off wine from the machines!). Overall, a wonderful, upscale experience that helped us through our hump day!
Love their ambiance and a great selection of nice wines in all price ranges. Food was a wonderful surprise. Lots of small plates as well as good size entrees to choose from.
Shareable small plates are a Foodie's delight. But the portions are small and pricey if you have a hearty appetite. The wine selection is very good. A great variety of Reds and Whites. I would like to see a few more less oaky wines added for us less oak lovers. The wine flights are a great sampler of offerings at a fair price.
My party was at the Parallel Wine Bistro for a 65th birthday. We all had a wonderful time, the food was very good, and we were treated very well. The prices were an especially nice surprise; very reasonable.
My husband and I usually love our dinners at Parallel. But this time when we excitedly took my brother and his wife who were visiting from out of state we were confronted by one disappointment after another. Our table was so close to the wine dispensers I had to climb out of my chair every time someone needed a glass of wine. This is a pub table which I really like but it's a long climb off the stool. The hostess sat us ( a party of four) and only brought two water glasses. Our server was less than enthusiastic from the get go and it seemed we were constantly hunting him down throughout our meal. He was not familiar with the wines and quite unhelpful in suggestings pairings. Not a real problem at most restaurants but pairings is the primary theme at Parallel. I noticed the new menu right away but when I asked the owner about it he commented he decided to bring back some of the old standbys. It was a disappointing experience and frankly my husband and I are a bit embarresed to have talked up the place to my family.
This neighborhood restaurant has a great outdoor space with heaters, but unfortunately the rain spoiled that opportunity. The next time!
However, we sat at the high pub tables near the wine machines and enjoyed a wonderful evening with the flatbread and beef sliders. They were both fantastic, paired with red wine from Chili and another Old Vine selection.
The server was very knowledgeable about the wine and food. He walked us through the menu and showed us how to use the wine machines. The food options are somewhat limited, but quite tasty. They have a wonderful outdoor patio, offer live music on set nights and have a Sunday brunch. I definitely plan to come back!
We love this place. The food is acutally unique and well prepared. Menu remains fresh with seasonal changes. Indoor and outdoor dining is nice and we like the live music on Fridays.
The patio is a lovely place to enjoy interesting wine and small plates. The cheese plate was very good, as was the "pizza." The down side was that the kitchen would not accommodate special requests using items listed on the menu. We asked for shrimp and were told they were only available for the sliders and shrimp and grits. We offered to pay for the entree and just serve us the shrimp. Kitchen wouldn't do it. $160 on a sunday afternoon deserves a bit more consideration from the kitchen.
It is extremely loud. The entertainment outside on the patio floods into the restaurant. It was very difficult to have a conversation.
Took my wife here for her birthday. Server was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and went out of his way to help us pick wines, food to go with the wines, delivering an overall outstanding experience. Food was outstanding. Will be back sooner rather than later.
