We were very happy this is the second restaurant in Tremont we have visited for a business dinner with an international collegue. We were pleased that by reserving for a business meal we were given more room. A table for 6 for the 4 of us to spread out. Although the other restaurant was quite good the team preferred the food at Parallax. We will return.
The food was good .. but not great. I’ve had better sushi. The peeking chicken and braised beef were average, it was nothing special, especially for the cost of the meal. The overall vibe of the place was classy, there was a bit of noise from people talking loudly but besides that it was good. Would I go again? Yes, but I would order something else.
Always great, innovative menu that changes regularly. Korean BBQ Beef is my go to favorite.
Brought my sister here to celebrate her birthday on a Saturday night. The food was great. I had the Peking Chicken, she had the Seafood Stew du jour. Both were outstanding with great flavor.
The only negative was that we felt a little rushed. The dishes were being removed before we were all finished with a course. Need to slow down and this would be a perfect 10.
Seafood stew had a broth that tasted only of generic hotness. The seafood was overcooked. Pommes frites came piled about 6” x 8”, soggy and greasy. Curried vegetables were mostly raw. A warm mushroom had dressing that was vinegary and inedible. When we complained, they exchanged it for a salad with less of the too-vinegary dressing—still inedible. It took 35 minutes to get any food except bread. Not going back.
Great dinner, food was really good and service was wonderful! definitely reccomend
My dinner was an explosion of flavor on my pallet. The presentations were magnificent. The service was well paced and on their game. The seating is a bit cramped. All together this night out was an enjoyable experience.
The food was amazing! I booked noting a birthday celebration they didn’t have a candle for the dessert we ordered. The service was good space for eating was very tight
First visit. Really enjoyed. Our server was named Opal, she was fantastic!
BEWARE of the back dining room! It is an outdoor patio converted with glass walls and curtains, but it is freezing. We felt a constant breeze on the floor, so our legs and feet were frozen. They have heat lamps on the ceiling, so our heads were warm :-( Kinda ruined the whole dining experience.
We love this restaurant and our server was outstanding!
Delicious! Can't wait to go back! The server knew the menu very well. And the sushi was some of the best I've ever had!
One of our favorites! Never a bad meal here.
Great food and service as always. Ever changing creative menu. Our favorite restaurant!
Everyone was so friendly! The food was great! The server recommended an amazing meal!
Top notch as always!
One of my favorite restaurants in Cleveland - food is consistently amazing and the service is incomparable in Cleveland. Creative dishes that will require you to be adventurous and some of the best sushi in Cleveland.
The mushroom salad was great as well as the Calamari, but my main entree suffered, as I was later to realize. The Pad Thai with pork shank was ordered, but was served the lemon grass pork shank with chili cabbage and Jalapenos (too many). Figured this out afterwards, as the lighting is very dim, and people are constantly flashing on their cell phone lights to see the menu. Also, my pork was cold in the center piece, but ate it just the same, as I was hungry. It seems this restaurant has a greater expertise on Sushi.
Sushi appetizer was amazing, service was attentive but not overbearing, ambiance was dark with candles, perfect spot for a date night or special event.
Really great value food for the price. If you want to pay a little more for good food, go here.
I enjoy Parallax each visit. The ambiance is always perfect and the sushi is fresh and amazing!
One of my favorites because I can get excellent sushi and my partner can get a good steak or fish dinner. A great combination and a good place to celebrate special occasions.
The food and ambiance was exceptional and the service was exceptional! A truly enjoyable evening all around!
My husband finally took me here on Valentine's Day after 6 years together. The sushi lived up to his hype! We shared some oysters and 4 rolls - a special , a spicy tuna, a spider roll, and then a rainbow roll in lieu of dessert that were all fantastic! Next time I'll try the entrees (maybe).
Valentines Day! Michael, John and Mary were so warm in their greetings and initial conversation. Our server Tyler was very good, attentive, kind and knowledgeable. Thank you!
we sat at the bar for dinner and our server Denny was outstanding ..!!
Love the 1/2 price sushi on Monday.
Overall OK - but not great. I expected more from a Restaurant of this class. Service was great, food was OK, but the ambiance - not impressed. When I pay top dollar, I expect more than an old house’s garage...
What a surprise that they had happy hour prices on Saturday night. We had sushi, tempura green beans and crab fritter all at discounted price!
Overall, the service was incredible. The drinks and food came out extremely quickly and everything we ordered was delicious!
After waiting for a table after our reservation time , we were give a table right inside the bar, directly opposite front door. Ask d for something away from the door as temps were I the singe digits, and was told that it would be an even longer wait. So we took the table. Huge mistake on our part. Everytime someone came in, the frigid air blasted us. But onto the food and service.
We ordered a Moscow mule which was delivered in a highball glass bec “they ran out of copper mugs ”. Funny, bec from where we were sitting, we could see them on the shelf behind the bar. Lazy? Stupid? Doesn’t care?
My husband got the wine pairing with dinner. We were through our appetizers when his appetizer wine arrived. Did we miss the point of wine pairing? The rest of the meal was fine. Nothing special and our server seemed ambivalent.
Great food! Ambiance was nice and the service was incredible!
Had a great time, the drinks were the best!
Would give it another chance when it's not Restaurant week. Service was great - Jordan was a gem. Probably shouldn't have ordered from the Restaurant week menu - better stir-fry at Hunan of Solon. But, the place was hopping, so maybe it was just what we ordered. Also, if you don't want to sit on the chilly patio in winter (no ambience there, for sure), make sure you request the main dining area.
The food was average but the real problem was we were seated in what was I believe a porch with plastic tarps over the screens. The seats were cold and cold air swirling around underneath the table despite overhead heating lamps. Although The one near our table was turned off. This was in Cleveland Ohio in January.
Parallax never disappoints. Had dinner there with a friend on a Wednesday night. I love when a server doesn't rush you along. Our server was perfect, he let us linger a bit. Food was really great, as it always is.
A great place. First visit will be back. The menu is very different with many options.
Bathrooms were dirty, smelly
Sushi was supposed to be tempura and instead had raw shrimp. Smelled like flash frozen fish.
Salad was not the salad I ordered and drenched in dressing. Even pooled in the bottom of the bowl.
Entree was burnt. Tasted horrible.
Was a horrible special date evening. Manager was nice and apologetic. Waiter was kind.
Had a great experience at Parallax Saturday evening. Table was ready at our reservation time. The salads, sushi, and entrees were excellent. Our server was friendly and efficient. Not the quietest restaurant for a romantic evening but the energy is good and the food is simply awesome. I had a great time all around.
