The appetizer and dessert were good, but my entree was not hot and didn't taste good. I ordered the clams in linguine in white wine sauce. The waitress was wonderful in that she didn't charge us for the meal and she asked if there was something else that I wanted to order. I just think that someone needs to review the recipe for that entree.

We’ve been to this restaurant many times and it’s always been a very good experience. The food never disappoints and the service is always great. It’s really a nice neighborhood restaurant with great ambience.

It took over 2 hours for our meal to complete. It took over an hour for our food to come, my food didnt come until 15 minutes after the other guests and was incorrectly prepared. I had to spend an additional 10 minutes picking out the ingredients that were asked to be omitted.

Pleasantly surprised. Needed to find a reservation near the Oakland Zoo for a large party and even though our party of 8 turned into a party of 2 - this restaurant was flexible and seated us right away. Seafood stew was delicious as was the pasta dish. I would come again even if I didn't need to be near the zoo.

Service was excellent. At the table we had 3 pizzas and the prime rib sandwich. The primavera pizza was covered in garlic and basil and the prime rib sandwich was dry. We did not finish our meals and will not return.

Paradiso was the perfect place for my friend’s 75th birthday celebration. Joanne was a great server, the food was delicious as always and all the staff was attentive and please. We had calamari, roasted beet salad, Caesar salad, garlic prawns and the amazing crab risotto. So-o-o delicious. And the blackberry Cabernet sorbet is amazing. Always my first choice for a superb dining experience.

My cioppino, the shrimp is over cooked and the broth was kind of salty. Hog island has better dishes But my drink is good.

We had a lovely evening last night. This is a fabulous restaurant. It’s great because you don’t have to go into Oakland or San Francisco to find great food. We had three appetizers that were delicious, a crab and avocado, crabcakes, and fried calamari, I had linguine and clams which were so fresh and delicious. The broth was so good that I just ate it with a spoon instead of dipping bread in it. It was so tasty. My other guests had fish that was wonderful. I forgot to mention, the drinks were over the top. The service was wonderful, too. Greeted like a friend when you walk in there. That is so important to me.

The restaurant was very crowded and lively. I had a reservation and was seated as soon as we came in. I asked for a table by the window and that is where we were seated. We ordered the short ribs and the salmon, both were very good. We also ordered the roasted beet salad - not so good. It was flooded in dressing, which made it hard to eat. If the beets were roasted, which I don't think they were, they had absolutely no taste whatsoever. We did not get any bread, although the menu says "artisan bread". When the salad was delivered we asked our server, Araceli, for bread. She never brought any. We asked again when we were almost finished with our salad, she finally brought a dish of bread that looked like it was left over from the last table. Prior to getting our entree we wanted a glass of wine, but Araceli had taken the wine menu. We asked for it back. She brought it, but then left before we ordered our wine. When our food was delivered by a food runner, we asked him if we could order wine through him - he took our order. Finally, Araceli came back with our wine. The entrees were very good, but even if they weren't it wouldn't have mattered as Araceli never came back to check on us, until we were practically finished with our meal. Overall, we had a nice dinner, but bad service does put a damper on the experience. I would think that a dinner for 2 that costs $175.00 would come with not only good food, but good service. We didn't get that.

Nice gathering with my friends last Saturday at Paradiso. Good food, friendly wait staff, but very loud due to the acoustics. Got my order wrong and immediately fixed it - no hassle at all. Will be back. 😋

Our server was great and the food was as usual. The Polenta sticks were yummy and the brussels sprouts were cooked perfect. We were so full from the appetizers that we had a salad and soup and they were both tasty.

Prior to the pandemic I was a regular at Paradiso, however, I would mostly come for dinner. This visit was disappointing. The menu for lunch is very similar to dinner, including the prices. Because of this, I was expecting the same type of good service I have had at dinner, along with the wonderful food. Unfortunately, while the food was good, the service was terrible. I would not recommend going to lunch at Paradiso.

A couple of bloopers from the wait staff but, I'd go back. Tables are very squished together and you can easily hear the conversations a the table next to you which is unfortunate.
