Great little spot that reminded us of dining experiences we had in Florence, Italy!
Great! Service and food were perfect.
I felt like the gluten free pasta Vongole was not worth our $26;
it looked like a very simple, bland plate of pasta where they didn’t drain it properly and just mindlessly threw in the clams.
It’s a typical plate that I can easily make it myself for at least half the costs.
Plus I didn’t get a good vibe of the waiters and they served the other guests who came right after us first while we were the ones who have booked an appointment.
At least the garlic bread was good.
It was quite disappointing because I’ve been there before about 6 months ago for dinner and it was a much better vibe with much better food and much better service.
Excellent food. Stuck with the pasta dishes- everyone at our table had the pasta except one and he was disappointed. However, all the pasta dishes were fantastic. Typical NYC restaurant- small tables and tight. But good service and casual ambiance
Really nice choice near the Museum of Natural History. Excellent food, including an extensive gluten free menu. Also, very friendly service.
We had a very pleasant experience! Great ambience, attentive waiters, yummy food and mimosas. Will definitely go again!
I took my 9e yr old dad for Valentines Day Sunday Brunch. We ordered eggs benedict and absolutely LOVED it. For a delish change the usual eggs benedict Canadian bacon was smartly replaved with Italian prosuctto. Absolutely psrfect! I intend on going again. Staff friendly and very attentive. Try it! You will love Brunch menu
We had fantastic service from the staff and the food was delicious.
Such a wonderful place to dine! A true classic New York, wonderful food, service place! You walk in and feel the quality immediately! One hopes to be dining in such a place in NY and rarely do you find it! Warm and refined, comfortable and superb in every way!
Went to Pappardella for my wife's 60th birthday. It was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. The food was outstanding; the service was great. It had a small neighborhood feel which added to the experience for us.
Passed it for years and finally went.
Very well worth it
Food was very good. Lemon sorbet for dessert was Rome worthy. Only drawback was our waitress didn’t mention the specials. We overheard them from a nearby table after we had ordered. Otherwise, nice ambiance.
Solid spot for a good meal. We went pre-theater and were greeted by a warm hostess. Waitstaff very attentive. Eggplant parmigiana and shrimp Parm were both good. Zabaglione dessert also enjoyable.
For a NYC restaurant, this restaurant provides excellent food at great value. Both my wife and I had (two different) excellent veal dishes. Their Prosecco was exceptional and according to the waiter was the basis for the original Bellini in Venice.
We definitely will return
What a nice find, the brunch food was yummy , great service and drinks. I will go again.
Good and service wonderful as usual. Great place to bring a guest. Will always have a good meal.
Had an excellant brunch, zucchini frittata , drinks, mimosa, bloody mary, window table, great for people watching. excellant service. High marks from me!!!!
A lovely Italian place on the UWS. Quite a find! The roasted root vegetables were a nice touch.
Pappardella provides excellent table service, taking away plates in a timely manner and cleaning the table of crumbs. Waitstaff is attentive and friendly. This matters as much to me as the quality of the meal. The food proportions are perfect, appropriate to a single person as opposed to family style. The orrecchietti with sausage and broccoli rabe was fantastic.
Pappardella is an attractive neighborhood restaurant with a nice selection of Italian standards. The servers are attentive, the noise level low. On my last visit, I was accompanied by my adult son, who uses a wheelchair. The restaurant staff was most accommodating, and made the meal the special occasion that I had hoped for.
So this was the 5th visit to Pappardella and its still on it's mark. Sunday brunch, great food, exceptional service..the type of place that one wished was in your own neighborhood. Looking forward to my next visit..the spaghetti and meatballs served at the next table were all too tempting!
Excellent food, excellent service and a great vibe. The bronzino was amazing and so was the chocolate cake. Already recommended it to a friend.
Totally enjoyable from start to finish. An oasis on Columbus ave
Pasta was great. Excellent service -Jonas (manager) really saved us and helped print tickets for a show that wouldn’t take electronic tickets (noticed while we we were checking in).
I woudn’t recommend it . The tables are close together. The service is fair, but not gracious. The food is ordinary and it was noisy. We were in a little corner which was probably the quietest spot, but still..... I did eat out on the terrace over the summer and it was charming. Inside not so much.
Delicious pappardella with short rib ragu! Service is pleasant and ambience is pretty and relaxing. Great neighborhood place!
Lovely casual neighborhood Italian restaurant with a upbeat ambiance and very good food. The salad with endives was excellent fresh and well laced vinaigrette, the thin crusted vegetable pizza very good and the salmon on kale very tasty. Overall the place has a wonderful feel. Good vibes making for a happy dining experience.
The mozzarella was to die for (rich/creamy) Attentive service in a friendly atmosphere. Try the chianti classico (smooth/dry). Pasta tasted homemade/fresh. Our fist time but not the last.
I ordered the carbonara, it wasn't as flavorful as I remember from the last time. A little disappointed so I added grated cheese. Will order something else next time.
Excellent authentic Italian food in a quiet laid back atmosphere for adults. Food was great from appetizer to desert. Even the bread with outstanding olive oil was terrific. Friendly prompt service but not at all rushed. Even the background music, classic standards, was just the right volume and genre for adults that don't want the thump, thump of today's excuse for music.
Always a great meal and I have celiac and always safe and absolutely delicious gf options.
Good food, great service, reasonable prices. Pizza or pasta with a salad is perfect lite fare.
Lovely, large space, friendly service, excellent food; ample portions. You can come here and actually engage in a conversation with your dining companion. It is clearly a neighborhood place and doesn't aspire to be anything else. That is a positive in one sense, but the negative side of the coin is that means family and kid friendly. I was there for a 7:00 reservation on a Thursday night and there were some rambunctious children with proud UWS parents who would, one presumes, not countenance a word of criticism about their children's behavior. I would still recommend Pappardella and advise one to hope for the best.
PAPPARDELLA has been an UWS gem for as far back as I can remember. Longevity is rare in the restaurant business and almost unheard off on Columbus Avenue. The reason--great food with innovative touches that keeps customers coming back. From the pizza to the incredible pastas--love the funghi past dish to chicken parm, always delicious. The wait staff is extraordinary too. With a warm and cozy atmosphere, you can't go wrong.
Great Italian spot in the lovely Upper West Side! Had a wonderful dinner on New Year's Eve surrounded by awesome people, a great staff, and really good food!
Had a delicious GF meal on New Years Eve. Despite being busy, service and food were great.
New Years Eve, great food, very attentive waiter, would recommend
Great service and great food. Nice neighborhood place. Seemed like a lot of local regulars.
The restaurant was good as always. We treat ourselves before the NYE show at The Beacon. My only "problem" is the bathrooms are down a fairly steep flight of stairs and not very handicapped accessible,
We chose Pappardella because of it's close proximity to our hotel and I am glad we did! Gnocchi was amazing and the restaurant in general was very authentic.
