Friendly service; food arrived quickly; greeted with entering and leaving; well spaced out tables for comfort
Love this place and have returned a couple of times even just for dessert (flourless chocolate cake)! Last night we had an amazing lamb ragu over pappardella! Loved the fresh carpaccio & arugala salad, a crisp caesar salad and traditional chicken parm! I highly recommend for any occassion!
The food and service were excellent and the wine was perfectly chilled. They have a separate gluten-free menu with a nice variety of choices. Everything was wonderful and we will definitely be returning.
We had to ask for butter 3 times. The food was ok, and the Malbec tasted like vinegar that I basically had one sip and left the rest.
Good afternoon & thank you for your feedback. I apologize for your disappointing experience. While not busy, we were not at our best on Sunday. We strive to make all our guests happy but fall short at times. i'll review with staff and make sure to work on consistently having fresh bottles of wine and attention to detail restored. We would appreciate, if you visited us again when you have an opportunity. Ask for Marion or Ed.
Delicious. As a gluten free celiac I felt I was in good hands. Many choices, and a knowledgeable waiter!
Wonderful neighborhood spot for excellent Italian fare.
Gluten free menu option is so great.
Brunch was excellent. Service great. A neighborhood gem
A very enjoyable early dinner New Years Eve. We are locals and regulars. We consistently enjoy this restaurant.
There is a reason Pappardella was full of diners on the night we dined there while other Italian restaurants in the area were a third or half full: Every part of the dining experience is excellent and the atmosphere/decor is authentic.
The bruschetta is perfect as a starter….not overloaded, but perfectly sized and with fresh ingredients.
one of our favorites! we had a lovely time and will be back!
Excellent dinner party for my table for four. The gluten free veal parmigiana is out of this world, complemented by an affordable and luscious red wine. Accommodated my request to sit far from the front door ( thank you hostess!).
Very pleasant check in, cozy neighborhood restaurant walking distance from the Museum of Natural History where we spent the day. We were not rushed at all which was great. We started with a pizza, fried burrata, mozzarella caprese.....all outstanding. The chicken Milanese was excellent with the cutlet fried to perfection! There was a pasta dish that was also excellent. Nothing we ordered disappointed. Sizable portions so we brought some food home and had to pass on dessert. I would definitely go back and highly recommend this restaurant.
This spot is constantly good. A very cozy Upper West Side spot. Will go back soon.
Lobster Ravioli was cold, and sauce was bland. Order Garlic bread and it was over season and burnt.
Delightful and memorable dinner. Frutti di mare is highly recommended.
This is a wonderful little neighborhood place that hit the spot. We had time for lunch before a tour of The Met and wanted something local. The lobster ravioli was delicious as was the Zuppa Di Frutti dI Mare. So much seafood! Service was very attentive and the location was great. Would definitely love to go back.
Food was delicious. Bruschetta was delicious and I absolutely loved the papparadella wild mushroom dinner!! The waiter seemed annoyed when I asked for something to fix the table from being uneven 🤷♀️
We had been eating here and one of our favorite restaurant at the Upper West side but the service would differ who is the manager on duty- different every visit.
Last night though it took a long time for our food to arrived. Even for water and billing out I had to call the waiter twice to remind him of our request.. and its not that packed to not be attentive.
Consistency is the key.
Excellent menu & food. Pretty and comfortable outdoor space. Our waiter was a bit frantic and made a few mistakes.
Lovely, comfortable, comforting neighborhood restaurant. Excellent food, value, service. Host(ess) greeted me warmly, remembers me from my freauent visits. Wait persons too. All staff welcoming and accommodating. My 2 friends and I much enjoyoed our dinner and time at Pappardella,
My party had the thin crusted pizza with prosciutto, pollo sandwich and salad with grilled salmon. All delicious.
Hall & oats concert 20 anniversary of employer!
It is great that they offer a full gluten free menu. We waited a half hour for our reservation. Our server disappeared and we had to keep asking if we could order.
The restaurant mgt and help could not have been kinder. We started out with a reservation for 4 - which then became 8; and finally ended up being 10. They made the changes without hesitation and the food and service were very good particularly considering a table of 10.
Really good job - we couldn't been more appreciative
Everything about our experience here was wonderful! The food was delicious and the service was very professional and pleasant. The service was paced very nicely for our family vacation dinner, especially after a long day exploring the American Museum of Natural History. Definitely would return again and definitely recommend this restaurant.
Good food but not amazing.
I love this neighborhood restaurant. But must have had a new crew of waiters. We ordered wine and 10 min. later a different waiter came by and asked if we wanted drinks. This more or less happened all evening. The same thing happened with desert - two waiters took the desert order. But the food was good and except for some very, very noisy children, the ambience is nice. But I do not understand why a restaurant that can be as noisy as this one ca, plays music. Even the waiters had trouble understanding the orders because of the noise.
Great food as always for a reasonable price! The prices went up a little bit in particular on the wine list but why should inflation stop here! Service was okay since we were seated in the corner! But overall a traditional neighborhood restaurant with a good selection!
We had a WONDERFUL time! We were early for our reservation. Edward, the manager, offered to seat us early. However, we opted to sit at the bar and have a cocktail first. And we couldn't have made a better choice!! We spent time with Edward learning about Ports and Whiskey, and had a complimentary tasting! He was personable, knowledgeable, and super easy to talk to. At dinner, service was FANTASTIC. Food was excellent! We had a memorable experience from start to finish! Thank you for a beautiful evening.
a wide variety of gf options that were all so amazing with really friendly and quick service! Will definitely be coming back
Service was inconsistent......had to ask for bread, waited long time for food to arrive. The table next to us ordered after we did and they were halfway through when our food arrived. All tables around us had cloth napkins and we didn't. They were provided when asked.
Great wait staff. Went there for Gluten Free menu. Outstanding Italian dinner with their taking a concern of the need for a gluten free menu. Reasonable priced and conveniently located in a reasonable proximity to the Beacon Theatre.
Wonderful homemade pasta and outrageous tiramisu!
Consistently excellent food—good salads and pasta. Salads are big and shareable by two with pasta.
service was impeccable, food was outstanding, out door seating was warm, comfortable, and private. not too expensive for an incredible upper west side meal!
Such amazing food as always!
Pappardella has been my “go to” restaurant for at least the past 10 years and I liked it for many reasons. Over the past two years the quality of the Roman classics that I love has gone down steadily. Last month I had a completely tasteless Cacio e Pepe and last night’s Carbonara was no better. Both used to be excellent and classically prepared, but no longer. That said, their riviera salad is still a treat.
Food was delicious!! Salmon cooked perfectly and pasta with mushrooms was one of the best pastas I’ve ever had. This is a great neighborhood spot.
One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Their food has been getting better and better. Service is friendly and efficient. Ambiance is nice, inside and outside. Good heating system.
