Menu and service reflect the warmth and attention of the old world, as well as the diversity and techniques of today. we feature homemade pasta, artisanal pizza & other great Italian staples, like chicken parmagian, grilled branzino & scrumptious tiramisu.
A beautiful outdoor terrace makes for great people watching in the warm months. Pappardella is conveniently located near the beacon theater, the museum of natural history & Central Park offering lunch & dinner pre fix, brunch & a busy happy hour.
the chicken w/ orzo was excellent. the pizza with prosciutto and mushrooms had no tastes and the crust a little too doughy. it was a quiet night and only a few tables, but still took over 30 min for food to come out. wasn't a big deal bc no rush, but usually annoying since we ordered no apps. service was lovely and accommodating.
Fresh salad but small quantity.
When you pay 20 dollars for a salad for lunch you expect a nice size salad not 4 slices of tomatoe and 4 slices of cheese
Water for tea were cold.
Surprisingly awesome...food is top and service is A1
Really delicious food, from pasta to an excellent perfectly prepared veal chop
I'm not sure of the exact number of visits to Pappardella, but it is at least 6 over the past 3 years. Brunch and dinner have been the choices and without reservation, it was a hit on all occasions. This past visit was a post-theater dinner for wine and pasta. Simple but enjoyable..pasta prepared to perfection. The place filled quickly as we dined and by the end of the meal no tables left. Our server was busy but attentive, and despite the growing crowd, she never made us feel rushed, even when we ordered a last-minute pizza to go! Every neighborhood should be so fortunate to have a place like this.
Charming restaurant, great food, tasty wine list and great service.
As always, charming, warm, friendly, great food and drink.
Amazing for gluten free food! This was the first time I’ve had garlic bread in years and it was wonderful. The flourless chocolate cake is also a must-have.
It was actually really romantic except for the temp. It was extremely hot!!!
One of my go to places. Great staff, food, atmosphere. Not stuffy.
They were great! Manager Perry went
Out of his way to make everything perfect!
This restaurant is a real find if you’re looking for gluten free dining; a separate menu! And the food was excellent. How nice to have bread and pasta that I could actually eat and enjoy! It was a birthday celebration and the flourless chocolate cake with a candle was also terrific.
Great atmosphere, food was delicious. The wait staff was wonderful and even held our table as we were late for our reservation.
Great food and great service. A reasonably priced wine list. The staff are very accommodating.
We have eaten here many times and love it. This time the service was very slow but food was great
Good easy dining with Italian cuisine. Basic but good for what it is
Reliable place to bring friends.
This was perhaps the worst meal we have ever eaten in a restaurant. It was comparable to school or hospital cafeteria food.
Service continues to be very spotty. Service staff stand around talking to one another while tables and customers are not getting served or waited on. Tables are so close together that chairs bang into each other - not a pleasant dining experience. Food is generally good. House wines are overpriced.
Friendly and comfortable, excellent pasta selections & wine choices, prices average for the neighborhood.
Pasta seems their specialty, and was excellent, but the fish was just ok, so may stay with the pasta or a meat dish next time. But will definitely return.
While a tad expensive for pasta, it's still worth going since the food is absolutely delicious.
Somewhat disappointed in the quality of the food. Went on a coupon, which made it fine, but had I had to pay full price, Iwould have been quite unhappy. The food is not up to a par with the prices.
Pappardella is a favorite. An all-round good place to eat, but the primary reason I go is for the food. It's delicious. My wife is GF and they have the best GF pizza. I'm not GF and my only complaint about their pizza is that I'm not big enough to eat for as long as I'd like. Simply the best. The other dishes are excellent, and I'm a big fan of the lasagna. Rest assured that if you go you will be well served and well fed. I don't have to be in the mood for Pappardella, just hungry.
Pappardella is one of my favorite Italian restaurants on the upper west side. It's not a huge place, but is always filled so reservations are a good idea. On entering, you really feel as if you arrived in Tuscany. The food is delicious, service excellent. Th greeting when we arrived was welcoming and pleasant.
Nice experience! Food was good and service was outstanding. We were seated right on time and it was a perfect spot to catchup and linger with old friends!
I’ve eaten here for years, and I have always had a wonderful meal and experience. Great salad and pizza. Wonderful service -our usual waiter, Mark - is terrific. The staff are all friendly and helpful. It does get noisy but we don’t let it bother us.
Had a reservation for 7:15 on a Friday night and we were seated right away! Parpadella had a small and cozy Italian restaurant vibe. If you are looking for good and authentic Italian food this is the place to go. The staff was very accommodating to various dietary restrictions. The service was fairly good throughout the meal but got a little bit backed up toward the end.
Overall, I would definitely recommend it for someone looking for an upscale, cozy, authentic Italian spot on the Upper West Side.
Food and service was very good. I would recommend and come back.
This is a comfortable place to eat. We were two at dinner time but did not feel rushed. I noticed groups of 2, 4 or 6 including families with children. The staff were attentive and our meals came quickly. We shared a trecolori salad as a starter and each of us enjoyed our entrees. I had Pappardelle Buttera and my friend the orecchiette with sausage and pesto. I recommend these dishes. The atmosphere was pleasant and upbeat.
The food is absolutely delicious, the service was excellent!! A real find!
Always a great choice for reasonably-priced Italian food on the UWS.
I brought my kids here before going to a museum. They enjoyed the pizza very much and felt very comfortable. They have great gluten free options for me (celiac) as well and were very attentive to my needs. My kids have already said they would like to go back.
Outstanding gluten-free pasta and garlic bread. One of top I have ever eaten
Always consistently good
Our favorite restaurant when we want pasta / Italian food. Anything they have that is home made is usually excellent. Service is always good. Interesting wine list and if you are not familiar with Italia wines don't worry they help you navigate the list and find what you are looking for.
The highlight was the kind service and their willingness to let a group of friends of 50 years chat and enjoy good food for a long time during off hours in the afternoon. Pastas and salads were absolutely excellent, desserts lovely, biscotti fine, setting appealing, noise level quiet (Only downside, the Parmesan chicken sandwich was dry and under-spiced). Staff very willing to answer questions and alter dishes if needed. Very accommodating. Excellent experience.
The food was subpar, especially at this price point. We were disappointed.
Consistently good classic Italian food!
We took my 9 yr. old granddaughter for her birthday and the staff could not have been more accommodating or friendly. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. A definite do over
The service was very good, the drinks moderately priced and not small and the food was delicious. The gnocchi with pesto sauce was delicious. Would definitely recommend to my friends. If I ever go to another show at the Beacon I would definitely eat here first!
