Great service , great dine out value.

The service staff were attentive without being intrusive. We were there for Dine Out and the menu selection was delicious and a good value for the calibre of restaurant. We would give the ambience an outstanding, and this is NOT the fault of the restaurant, due to C-19 restrictions the place is empty. We were there at night and the view is spectacular during the day so the place lacked a certain intricacy. We look forward to returning again for brunch and other evening meals as the days get longer and enjoy the sunset.

Enjoyed immensely-wonderful outdoor atmosphere with heated patio with open view of English Bay. Service was supremely good- waiter offered to bring another appetizer when I commented that the one I had was just OK (Dine Out Vancouver special). She knew about the various oyster characteristics very well. Linguini was creamy and tasty. I'd recommend going, highly.

Wonderful food and service and I felt quite safe how they set up their floor for in-person diners. They also had a wonderful selection for Dine Out. Highly recommend, especially for a nice dinner at night with a decent view of the bay.

Overall, a decent restaurant in a prime location. Service was good, though it took some time for my party to be seated despite having a reservation. The food was disappointing overall. The oysters were the only bright point. The pasta was overcooked. The beef short rib was dry. The lemon creme brule had almost no lemon flavour in it.

The food was delicious! I highly recommend some oysters and truffle fries. The fish tacos were also some of the best I’ve had. Our server was also amazing.

Starter of mussels was lovely, but we waited a long time for it to arrive and then the second we were finished the mains arrived so I think there might have been mishap in the kitchen. The desert on the dine out menu and on the specials board was not available which was disappointing. I wouldn't of had the dine out menu if I had known before ordering.

The food was delicious! The waitress was nice and attentive. The oysters were so fresh. Had a Caesar cocktail and wow was that good :)

Excellent "Dine Out Vancouver 2021" experience. 3 course meal for $35/person. I had the mussels a 1st course, braised beef ribs with polenta for the second, and pann e cotta with raspberry sauce for desert. All courses were sublime! Wonderful service, great Covid precautions, wonderful food. We will return, no question..

Oysters were fresh and the patio was nice and warm even at -1 temperatures! Sunset was amazing form here.

This was my first time at Papi’s Oyster Bar, and everything was fantastic —- a great atmosphere, wonderful service, and delicious food. The staff were super friendly as well. My friend and I both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and time and will definitely return in the near future. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Our first time eating dinner at Papi's, and it was a lovely evening. The staff are super friendly and attentive, very helpful to explain the drink and food choices. The meals were as described and very flavourful. The ambiance is very nice, even with COVID restrictions in place. We will go back!

We had a lovely time. Physical distancing in place, felt safe and inviting, service was good. My only tweak is around the mussels. You have a choice of a chorizo red sauce or white wine sauce...my favorite part is dunking my bread into this usually delicious liquid. It wasn't. It was watery and the mussels were cold. Disappointing. The halibut fish and chips were great though.

It was a last minute reservation on a busy Friday. The weather was great, the view was even better. The restaurant was busy and even when I clearly requested a patio table, the manager, Dan was able to look after our needs in a very professional and friendly way when no patio table was available when we arrived. The food was good but the service and 'human factor' will make me return.

Our server was delightful, and efficient. We had both dinner and lunch there during our Vancouver staycation. The mussels were delish, lobster roll (ask for the larger one), noodle salad, and salmon burger also delicious. We also loved the location. Would highly recommend!

We had 5 friends for a Birthday Party. Food was great, happy hour menu. I had the Entree, which was disappointing, as was the Gin based Chocolate Martini. Seating was excellant! We had a great time, but missed Birthday sparkelers!

Attended for their Dine Out menu. Good value for the dishes and the type of restaurant. Staff were friendly, patient, and attentive. Our favorites were the seafood tart, vegetable mille feuille and the sticky toffee pudding. I would return just for dessert tbh. I look forward to returning to try their spaghetti vongole!

Service and food was amazing. It was a quiet night but still we were impressed by the personal service by both waitress and manager who may have been the owner. Oysters were so yummy as were our mains. Wine beer and sangria all were enjoyed. Will return soon.

We had a great experience at Papi’s on New Years Eve! Everything exceeded our expectations ! Great oysters, amazing lobster bisque,....and good value for money.

Friendly and efficient service of tasty, good-value food from a well-considered menu. We loved the funghi and burrata salad as well as the arctic char and charcoal battered oysters. Happy to have a really good restaurant in the neighbourhood.

The ambiance was warm and welcoming as was the greeting from the Manager. I would recommend the restaurant for the ambiance, with a caveat ... The food was creative - the tuna ceviche was fresh and delicious, the Calamarata was wonderful, and the mussels were delicious. We also ordered the braised beef, and while that was delectable, the portion was quite small for the most expensive main on the menu.

Papi's is an excellent addition to the West End. We enjoyed the Lobster Risotto and the Seared Arctic Char and Clams with Veggies. Both dishes were extremely well prepared with fresh seafood and tasty seasoning. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. We were just two, but the restaurant is nicely set up to accommodate groups of 4, 6 or even larger with a nice separation of a large group room from the regular restaurant so the conversation noise does not get overwhelming. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to all of our friends.

Felt for it was overpriced for what we got. Food was so-so in presentation and taste.
