One of our favorite restaurants in Aruba
Excellent choice as we entered the island! Very courteous greeting by staff. They have a vegan menu and we’re very interested in making certain we were pleased with our choices. While the Village Market is a busy area, Papillon uses its space wisely and creates an outdoor seating ambiance that works. Fire lit tiki torches at night adorn the entry to greet guests. Specials were great and they even had an amazing beet carpaccio specula app that was vegan as well! Kudos to the chef for embracing the wave of plant-based offerings on the island. It was great to see what they did with a gourmet cuisine twist. This is NOT your veggie burger type of place for a vegan. French Caribbean takes on flank steak and my daughter enjoyed her escargot.
Food was very mediocre at best
Food was great, although the quantity was a bit small. I would go back here and I would recommend it to others.
Food was great and and the service was outstanding. The restaurant is deceiving, you would think from the outside that it would be quite noisy inside, but not at all. A very pleasant experience!
Food was excellent friendly staff and nice ambiance one of the best restaurant on the island
Beautiful restaurant and amazing food. Servers were incredibly attentive and made our celebration fantastic.
Terrific overall! Service, ambiance, food.
Overall great experience
Third time eating here, never a bad meal, courteous staff, highly recommended.
It was our first time here. It was great. I am a vegan and the vegan co au vin was delicious! They had other vegan options too. So nice. They even had vegan bread!! My husband had the king fish and loved it . The drinks were delish too. This is a hidden gem and happy we went here.
This was a fantastic experience for my family. We loved everything we ate. The frog legs were awesome. The snapper was outstanding. The chocolate desert was spectacular. The drinks were top notch. I had the old fashioned and chardonnay from Aregentinia. The service was top notch. My family ate twice here while in Aruba and cannot wait to return. Other excellent dishes that we tried were the Dover Sole, the beef burgandy, the foie gras, and the grouper. All of the dishes were excellent.
Absolutely wonderful experience at Papillon this evening. From the incredible Chèvre Salad through the steak and dessert, coupled with the 2010 Right Bank Bordeaux we were totally pleased. Papillon exceeded expectations!!!
Good restaurant, good service, paying attention to each customer.
Food is delicious, french with a touch of Caribbean taste.
On can have pleasure dining while feeling yourself utmost comfortable.
Another delicious meal at Papillon. The service is always friendly and the food was delivered to our table as soon as it was prepared. The grouper and shrimp entree was light and flavorful and complimented with a lemon butter sauce. If you’re in Aruba, Papillon is worth a try.
The quality of the food was exceptional.
I just wish I could have more of the chocolate cake!
Always great food at Papillon. My wife and I both had the pan fried group which was light and flavorful.
Went here for our 10 year anniversary and it was great!
Excellent meal! Everything was very artfully prepared. Highly recommend the lava cake.
Had a great meal on a beautiful island
Great vegan options, especially the vegan crab cakes which are so delicious we returned just to have them again
Food was outstanding including the sea bass and grouper entrees cooked perfectly with delicious risotto. So much flavor. Carpaccio and shrimp au grotin appetizers were delicious and large/filling. Never had carpaccio as shaved slices but it was so fresh and the shaved pate really added to it. Dessert left something to be desired as my key lime cheesecake was regular cheesecake with key lime ice cream and raspberry sauce; I was hoping for key lime cheesecake. Still delicious though. Hubby liked his chocolate soufflé. Wine list extensive and you can keep the cork if you don’t finish your bottle and want to take it with you. Restaurant was very warm inside even with the air conditioning, may want to sit outside with the breeze. Restaurant is recessed from the main road with all of the other restaurants, we almost walked past it. Makes it for a quieter ambiance. Would definitely recommend this place.
I realize French restaurant dining consists of Entrees that are based with tastings of limited portions but quite frankly this restaurants portions were minuscule. Do not plan on going there hungry cause you will leave in the same fashion. On a plus note, the ambiance was good
Fabulous food, great friendly service. Perfect birthday dinner!
I confirm. Top 5 place in Aruba , very nice food and perfect service. Had a lovely time
Some pricing was high for the amount of food
Wonderful location paired with stellar service from Roy made our dinner a delightful and delicious experience.
The food was a perfect complement of local cuisine along with tried-and-true French classics.
We opened with a hot shrimp casserole smothered in a spicy tomato cream sauce, crusted with Dutch cheeses local to this island of Aruba!
We followed with 3 entrées from sous vede skirt steak, mushroom risotto and the wild boar shank.
Everything was served hot, perfectly spiced and well balanced with a complement of vegetables including cauliflower, romesco and beets.
Lovely evening. Food was quite good. Service attentive. Definitely will be back.
It was our favorite restaurant in Aruba. We were celebrating our anniversary and they gave us complementary desert with Happy anniversary on it. Everything was great about this amazing place
This place is a hidden gem! Food is always delicious, service is always great and staff very friendly! Must try when in Aruba!
We were told that it is a must go in Aruba. It did not disappoint.
We met friends for dinner, so there were seven of us, all vacationing in Aruba. The meal was fantastic, great service and ambiance. For some it might be a bit loud as outdoor seating is on a main, heavy foot trafficked area but we loved it. Great vibe.
Everything was perfect
Wonderful service and food was delicious! I had rack of lamb and my boyfriend had grouper. If you're looking for a great dinner and atmosphere, go here!
The sea bass was the best I have ever had. It is prepared in wax paper coated with a salt meringue. It is tender and flavorful.
We always go to Papillon when we visit Aruba. Its a favorite spot!
We were staying at the Hilton on Aruba and had the pleasure of dining at Papillion twice while we were there. The restaurant was a true find. It had a beautiful setting and the staff were all extremely pleasant. Every course was served impeccably and was delicious. We will absolutely return on our next visit to Aruba.
