   This was our second visit to Papillon, and while the ambiance and music were as lovely as we remembered, the overall experience this time around didn’t quite live up to our expectations. We were the only guests during our visit, which made for a quiet and intimate setting — but also an odd one. The crew spent most of their time cleaning, rearranging decor, and even standing on the bar to dust glasses. Despite this, the service remained attentive and helpful, answering all of our questions with warmth and professionalism. The staff truly made the best of an unusual situation and helped create a pleasant atmosphere. The design of the restaurant is still stunning — visually refined and thoughtfully curated. However, compared to our first visit, the food fell short. Unfortunately, it was nowhere near the level we previously enjoyed, making the high prices feel unjustified this time around. There were also a few practical issues: the women’s bathroom door didn’t close properly, and one of the sinks was out of order — not what you’d expect in a place that presents itself as high-end. Lastly, waiting for an Uber afterward felt uncomfortable, as the entrance area didn’t feel particularly safe or well-lit, which left a lasting impression for the wrong reasons. In short, Papillon still has potential, but this visit left us unsure if we’ll be back again. The details — both in service and in setting — matter just as much as the food, and unfortunately, this time they missed the mark

   Delicious food, but restaurant manager supervision needs work The food here is absolutely fantastic, and our waiter delivered impeccable service — warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. That said, the experience was let down by poor communication and an unwelcoming reception. From the moment we made the reservation, there were difficulties in getting clear information, and when we arrived 30 minutes early for our 19:00 booking, the manager rudely refused to allow two women wait inside — despite there being no nearby waiting areas. It’s a shame, as the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. I’d still recommend it for the food alone, but the attitude at the front desk needs serious improvement.

   Es war ein sehr schöner Abend mit sehr guten Essen und angenehmen Leuten. Wir können das Papillon nur empfehlen … wir kommen bald wieder

   Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend im Papillon. Von Anfang bis Ende haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Service ist 1A - wirklich selten so aufmerksames Personal gesehen, zumindest unser Kellner Christo (hoffe wir haben Namen richtig verstanden) war unglaublich bemüht und hat stetig geschaut,ob uns etwas fehlte. Einen kleinen Kuchen zum Geburtstag gab es auch noch, der unfassbar lecker war! Das Essen und die Drinks waren erstklassig. Die Party danach hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Auch wenn wir nur zu zweit waren, hatten wir unseren Spaß. Wir waren das erste Mal hier und kommen definitiv wieder!

   This place is perfect for a vibey evening with a friend or a group of friends. The service is attentive yet unobtrusive and quite fast, despite the restaurant being full. The cocktails at the bar are well-balanced and delicious. We were satisfied with our visit and overall experience. There is some noise from the S-Bahn, but after around 9 PM, when the music gets louder, it’s no longer noticeable

   Hallo zusammen, ich war mit einer Freundin an einem Freitagabend um 19:30 Uhr essen. Das Ambiente ist mega, mal was anderes durch das Licht und das gesamte Interior. Die Sitzbänke- und Poster aus den - ich würde sagen - 70er Jahren, passen in ihrem Rosé-Ton wunderbar rein. Sie sind gemütlich und man sitzt recht tief, was aber überhaupt nicht stört. Dass man die Bahn über sich hört, ist charming. Das gehört halt dazu und wen sowas stört, sollte da nicht hin. Ich habe immer einen großen Anspruch an Service und kann nur Positives berichten. Alle waren extrem frundlich und zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und eben so, wie es sein sollte. Ob die lieben Mädels am Eingangsbereich oder die Servicekräfte. Das Essen ist auch wirklich gut! Einfach was Besonderes und eben nichts Gängiges. Interessante Geschmackerlebnisse und in der Zubereitung sowie Produktqualität einwandfrei. Da wir beide recht müde waren, haben wir mehr als zwei Stunden nicht geschafft. Danke für diesen schönen Abend, wir haben es sehr genossen und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
