I had an reservation for 2:45. Parking is terrible. Went in and was told there were 2 groups ahead of me that have been waiting and came in before me. I was confused because I had an reservation. She explained it was first come, first serve. What’s the point of being on open table if you’re not honoring reservations. The good was good. I would say, don’t go on the weekend.
Great food and good vibe
Great experience overall
Perfect date enjoyed the food and atmosphere. This place is amazing.
I had the surf and turf had to send it back because the lamb was burnt but they replaced it very fast and it was much better…I will be back soon!
I loved this spot. The bottomless mimosas were awesome. Mayo was a great sever! Recommend 10/10. We will be back
Everything food wise was perfect, price very steep 7 people 546.00 only 4 drinks
My wife loved her food. She ordered crab cake and lamb chops 65.00. I order stuffed lobster with roasted brussle sprouts 40.00 neither were seasoned and my lobster was tough. The crab cake egg rolls were the best part. Either way I love to see black people doing their thing!!
We drove an hour and 15 minutes from Pennsylvania to go there for my husband birthday the waiter didn’t even mention anything of his birthday the restaurant was very noisy our appetizers and entrées came before the drinks this was our second time and last time. The food was delicious this just good for take out not worth the service charge they charge.
We made reservations at 8:15 and we were seated as soon as we got in. The food service was quick! And the food was delicious I had the crab cake egg rolls as an app and then the lamb chops with Brussels and kale greens food the sides. I finished everything! I want to go back for more lamb chops they were so delicious and the drinks were nice and strong.
The food and drinks were delicious! The vibe was giving! Great place for date night!
This was my second time comeing and the first time I had the worst experience ther service was bad I had a reservation and had to wait an extra hour then I end up ordering to go. The food is good 👍
Great experience! 100/10
Papi is my absolute favorite restaurant hands down!!!! Appetizers come out the fastest I’ve ever seen in my life. Very clean and delicious. All waiters have excellent customer service and very attentive.
I had an amazing time. The food was perfect and delicious. Not to mention awesome service!! I’m already planning to return!! The crab egg rolls and honey jerk lamb chops were TOP TIER! The best lamb chop I’ve ever had. The drinks were strong like I like them. Definitely my NEW SPOT!
Food is outstanding, a little pricy. Atmosphere and service makes up for prices. Drinks are nice and strong for those who like to drink
This was my first time here. The food did not disappoint…I didn’t rate a 5 because of the service we received being seated. I had a reservation for standard seating not tabletop and due to another party coming of 15 I was told I would have to wait or take tabletop. While I understand limited seating don’t give options you don’t plan to accommodate and don’t make a party of 2 feel less important than the party of 15.
In reference to the menu, I ordered pasta…came for the Rasta pasta but found out that’s only available on Sundays so I didn’t want the other standard pasta because I don’t eat lobster so I simply ordered the crab cake and pasta.
While I came prepared to spend money because I knew the prices I don’t see why my one crab cake and pasta cost more than the pasta with 3 seafood proteins and felt the server could’ve assisted by letting me know it was gonna be more and suggesting that pasta so I got more for my money…..
But considering we were in the bar area and she was focused on bartending I guess not….for the cost of the place my service expectations are higher. I think the food was amazing and although my pasta I feel was over priced my friend got the single crab cake with 2 sides for 35 and my pasta which was a single crab cake on top of pasta was 43….the pasta with no meat was 18.00????? Crab cake 25.00
So…..those are my reviews but I would come back just not for overpriced pasta!
Loved this restaurant. Can't wait to come back very soon!
Our server was awesome. The food was great! Lamb chops were on point. The crab egg rolls were nice. The environment was chill and intimate. The price was a little steep but the food was worth it. I would recommend Papi cuisine for a date or friends hanging out.
Traveled from Philadelphia and the restaurant canceled the reservations and we were NEVER notified. The manager stated the kitchen was closed but food was still being prepared! A complete disappointment!
I tried Papi Cuisine when it was at it's old location during COVID-19 and was not really impressed by the food. I wanted to give the restaurant another shot so I went to the NEW location for brunch. It's a cute space however it lacks decor. There is one green wall however everything else is bare. They have exposed ceilings in the bar area but it is not flattering. It looks like blobs of gray goo. So lets get into some pros/cons.
Pros: Friendly staff who know the menu, great selection of food that caters to dietary restrictions, calm music (again I went to brunch).
Cons: I went for brunch and on their Instagram they advertise unlimited mimosas. I noticed on the menu there was a $35 carafe option and a $25 unlimited mimosa option. Of course we went with the unlimited mimosa option (even confirmed this with our waitress. Close to the end of our visit we were told that they no longer have the unlimited offer and we would have to pay per carafe (at this point we are 4 carafes in however we were only charged for one). According to our waitress there was a shift in their menu (online) and everything had not been changed over. However, just last month it was adverstised as unlimited. Next, we ordered Fried Catfish and Grits. The catfish was not fried it looked more grilled and it was underseasoned and undercooked. We also ordered Steak, eggs, and potatoes which was okay but not well seasoned.
Decor. As I mentioned above there was zero decor out side of the one green wall. Where we were sitting there were BOXES of Amazon STACKED behind us so it was hard to capture any pictures (we were sitting in the bar area at a hightop table. Next, it was FREEZING cold inside. I looked at the thermostat and it read 65 degrees. Outside was already 20 degrees and people had to have their coats on while they ate because of the temperature inside.
Overall my waitress was AMAZING!
Food and service was amazing. Only thing we did dislike was we had reservations and were on time and still had to wait for a table.
Great food and atmosphere
ONLY issue!!! Reservations and still had to wait 30mins SMH
Drive 2 hrs so the wait was unacceptable
The food was decent. We started with the crab cake egg rolls. They are a must if you like crab. Tastey and full of crab meat. Dinner was a little disappointed. Through the recommendation of the server, I ordered the honey glazed chicken with jerk sauce added. Not only did the chicken not have the jerk sauce, it came out over done. For the sides, I had the mac and cheese and the roasted broccolini. Both were very tastey. My friends ordered the jerk lamb chops and the ultimate seafood alfredo. They enjoyed their dishes. Service was a bit sporadic. We were left waiting for drinks a while and the server did not come by very much to check on us. We waited for a while for the check and never ordered dessert.
I would love to see more jerk dishes on the menu. Not too bad. Will return but no rush. It has the potential of being a neighborhood gem.
It wasn't a huge problem but I couldn't scan the menu. I had to look up a menu online but it wasn't a full menu. They should have a link to their website with a full menu. Also the bathrooms could have been cleaned. Otherwise the food was good!
Good was good .
Me and hubby always saw how the food on IG looked so we try it with friends and EVERYTHING was GREAT.
Delicious food. The lamb chops and kale are to die for 😋
Food was good. Love the crab cake egg rolls
We had a great time
It was amazing, food was amazing, service was amazing, it was everything I thought it would and I would highly recommend
Food great, service great, Playlist excellent. The new location is wonderful. I will definitely be back. Oh and I really love that there is free parking for your guests!
Reservations or website did not indicate brunch all day. So regular menu was not available. Did go at 5pm to eat brunch. Portions not worth value paid for food. Service and food was slow! Bathrooms were disgusting in the times Of Covid
I arrived 10 minutes early for my reservation and had to wait another 15 minutes to be seated. Once seated we waited another 20 minutes before someone came and offered us water. She came back to our order we waited another 20 minutes only for her to not even had our drink order put in. We left at 5:27 an hour we were there and we had nothing but water. That was our first and last time there.
My husband and I drove from Philly to Baltimore for this date night. First, our reservation was at 4:15, we were seated at 4:50, and our waitress didn’t visit our table till 5:20. Disappointed to find so many things changed on the menu, as they now serve brunch all day Sunday’s (I guess). Our waitress was new, my husband had rasta pasta (not flavorful at all) and I ordered “shrimp and grits-NO BACON”. She told me it was “turkey bacon” (as if that mattered-I said no bacon)! The food came out and there’s bacon. She took it back and said they’re remaking it. Less than 5 minutes, my food is sitting before me. I specifically asked “did they just take the bacon off or remake it”? I was told, “it’s a new one, they had one waiting for another customer…”. Of course I thought, “you just so happened to have another shrimp and grits-NO BACON ready”? But I didn’t “see it” so I said “okay”. I tasted a smoky flavor, assumed it was the smoked Gouda. It wasn’t until I was almost finished, I saw bacon in my bowl! The disrespect! I’m muslim and only eat halal (zabihah) meat. It’s annoying when people assume I say “no bacon” bc of our “no pork” restriction.
I immediately asked to speak to the manager, who was MORE a than accommodating-I only wish I could recall her name because we were so grateful.
We ordered two brownies for dessert, only one came out. Instead of our waitress saying I’ll rush back and grab one-she stated “they take so long to make-they seem to be taking a while with the desserts today”. We shared the brownie and I just laughed-nothing was funny.
We drove rather far for our date night. All in all the brownie and the crab eggs rolls were the best part of our experience.
My experience at Papi's Quisine was excellent! Friendly fast service and good food.I have a recommendation to put beer on the drink menu.
Food and drinks were amazing. The location is decent but hard to find parking. Definitely will be back
The experience was great. The food was great. Good price and great service. Very clean. I had the build your own pasta with the chicken alfredo. Chicken was moist n noodles cooked just right. Sauce was delicious. My sister had the salmon n kale greens. The greens were to die for. Ordered the Korean bbq wings to go for my daughter. She loved them. Can't wait to go back. I trying them lamb chops.
Ultimately, everything was pleasing. However, the Alfredo tasted like it had a peanut butter sauce instead of the sauce I was expecting. But other than that, no complaints! Highly recommended.
