Papa Lozzi Italia
Welcome to Papa Lozzi Italia, an Orlando staple and the place to order from when you're craving and filling meal with flavorful ingredients and a satisfying taste. From our eggplant parmesan to our risotto with beef and portobello mushrooms, we've always got exactly what you're craving. Of course, no meal is complete without a delectable dessert to end your day on a sweet note.
Server did not know what manicotti was, not on the menu, chef said he could make it, but he filled it full of spinach! Yuck!
We walked in and the rap music was jarring. Absolutely not what would be expected in a fine dining experience. That music says “eat fast and get out.” No one was at the host stand when we came in. When she finally seated us, she wasn’t sure where to put us & was flustered. The server didn’t know what “burrata” was when we ordered and she attempted to “correct” me and tell me we were ordering bruschetta. We weren’t. Finally, we had the tomato & burrata appetizer. The tomatoes were not ripe at all and barely approaching red. I would not have served them. The server brought bread with dipping oil that had vinegar but no seasoning. We attempted to order items from the menu that were out. The risotto special we got was undercooked and way under-seasoned. Unfortunately, there was no salt or pepper on the table to assist. Plus, it was watery, which was odd. The server didn’t refill our beverage or ask if we wanted to order dessert. Perhaps we got them on an off day, but I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone and certainly won’t return. That bums me out because I just moved here and try to always support locally owned businesses — especially restaurants. I respect business owners and certainly what they have been through in 2020. But our experience was just so not good.
Great service and the food was excellent. The calamari appetizer included shrimp and vegetables and was very yummy. Lasagna felt homemade. Chicken Marsala was drenched in wine which was superb.
Great food hidden in a shopping center.
We came to Papa Lozzi for my son's graduation based on a recommendation from a UCF parent. We were so pleased with the food and service.
Food was delicious and the portions were ample. Friendly atmosphere and good service.
Food is amazing!
We have been coming here for some time and usually pop in monthly for a nice bottle of wine and authentic Italian dinner. Service is always great and the food is always consistently good. We love the rotation of specials so we can try new items.
The food was all over the place in terms of quality. First the good-The Alfredo sauce and the Chicken Marsala. Both were flavorful. Everything else we ordered was a complete disappointment. First course-Caprese salad-came with very underripe tomatoes. They were hard, white and disgusting. Needed more fresh basil and balsamic. Entree-Childs portion of alfredo (see above) and a Tricolore salad. The salad was an entire bowl of not fresh lettuces and two huge wedges of unripened tomatoes. The cheese was stale. My stablemate ordered fresh vegetables as his sides-It arrived without any.
The topper of the evening was when the staff swept and washed the floor while we were still eating and drinking. YUK!
Delicious and authentic Italian in a casual but very nice spot.
