Happy Hour in the Wine Bar Sun -Fri 5-7 pm
We enjoyed our pre-Army/Navy game dinner very much. Food was delicious and our server timely and helpful. We had tasted some of the wine flights and appetizers the evening before with a similarly good result. I would recommend Panorama
We had not been to Panorama for some time and it did not disappoint. Still has the amazing wine list and outstanding service; truly notable in both respects. The food was very good, although all of us at the table ordered the daily fish so it's hard to gauge how that evening's meat or chicken dishes may have been. Everything was served exactly as ordered. Desserts were also good including ice cream from a creamery directly across the street. The restaurant is reasonably large, nicely decoratd and good both for a business meal or a date night, although it is a bit expensive (a glass of wine averages about $15 for the regular stuff) for the latter.
Great for special occasions because the food is special
This is our second time back, and for good reason. The food is always amazing. And the hospitality and service is always stellar. And the wine selection... the Best!
We stayed the night there at the Penn’s View. Our favorite spot in the city.
We were in town and loved your menu online. Expectations were more than met with a wonderful loin of veal in a light red wine sauce. Great wine list. What’s not to like. Highly recommend
It was terrific!
Very good food. Some of the best apps and desert I’ve ever had but the pasta could be a bit better. High recommend going here though! I will go again sometime and give some more dishes a try.
Second time at Panorama. First time was for a private party. This time around I brought my boyfriend's family. Reservation was for 7:00 pm. The hostess greeted us in a very odd manner when we informed her of our reservation. My thinking is that they had likely not planned for it, despite me calling to confirm earlier that day. It took 20 minutes to be seated and another 25 for our server to get us drinks (just wine). There were no accommodations made to apologize for the various waits. I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately the service made it difficult.
From the first time I dined at Panorama through last Saturday night the service, food, ambiance and presentation is OUTSTANDING!
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary on 11/11, we had the 5 course Chef's Tasting menu paired with the recommended wine selection. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco in honor of the occasion. We dined in the bar area which is charming . The wine wall is impressive, with 120 available by the glass. Each course was elegantly presented and a feast for all senses. The aromas and the flavors were rich and complex. The skirt steak entrée with chestnuts and roasted potatoes was so tender it melted in your mouth. The pairing with wine flight #411 was spot on, I was concerned about Italian wines being too dry for my liking, but I enjoyed every one of the 5 selections. The service was friendly and attentive. We have been here a few other times and its always a very enjoyable dining experience!
Long wait time, not enough staff to take care of all that was going on. New renovation cuts of the restaurant and creates an awkward waiting area. Poor remodel.
Food was good not enough choices.
Panorama was recommended to us by a family friend. He said it was the best restaurant in the city. We started as a party of 8 and grew to a party of 15 by the time the word spread as to where we were dining. None of the 15 was disappointed. We've been talking about the evening for days.
Have been to Panorama several times, all previous times excellent. This time food was cold and service poor and slow.
We have dined at Panorama several times and we’re very disappointed with the food this time!
Antipasto was very poor
The pasta dishes were lacking and unsatisfying
My martini was excellent but my dining partner didn’t like her cocktail and the wine was not what she ordered
What a disappointment since we always thought of this as a great restaurant
Great food and wine selection. Great for small business group 6-8. Also nice low level music that was pleasant but we could still have great conversation. Would go back tomorrow if I could.
Always a delight. My favorite special occasion restaurant
Wonderful wine selection. Had the grilled romaine and shrimp salad...fantastic. The Hen of the Woods mushroom starter was incredible! Ravioli and pasta dish were amazing as was the gelato!
This was a very enjoyable night, celebrating my wife's birthday with our son and daughter and their spouses.
The wine flights was very unique and the food superbly prepared and had an excellent presentation. The entire staff did a remarkable job.
Had a great dinner at this place with some friends. Started with the fried calamari which was good. Then I had a half order of the rigatoni and meat sauce and I must say this was my favorite. If I go back I will probably get this as my main meal. Then I had the Oso Buco as my main and it was also very good. A couple of others had the veal tenderloin which was unusual and looked like it came on a bed of lasagna. I didn’t taste it but they said it was really good. Would definitely go back here.
It was an off night all around - usually outstanding
The food was terrific. I loved the wine flights. So fun to enjoy so many options. Try the eggplant appetizer. So good.
Love everything about this place food, wine, atmosphere. It has been an Old City staple for years and for a reason. Delicious pasta and seasonal appetizers. The staff makes great wine recommendations.
Honestly it was just ok. The facility is very pretty, great (but super overpriced) wine selection, food was ok nothing to get excited about. Skipped dessert so cant comment on that. Our server was fairly attentive but not friendly nor very helpful when describing food etc.
Our service was awful and food average
Not the panorama it use to be
Service was not great. Asked for pepper and other things and never received. BEWARE - ordered special Cod dish. Was not told it had some extremely hot peppers in it. Dish was spicy which I can handle, but I ate a pepper that nearly choked me and burned my mouth for the next 10 minutes. I brought this to waiter's attention and he kind of laughed and shrugged it off.
We came in for restaurant week and were blown away! The special menu was extensive, with large portions and excellent quality food. Our servers were so helpful and took time to talk us through the menu and ingredients, and had patience with us as we decided on wines (we are far from experts) and made sure we all were able to order something we would really enjoy. In our group of 5 we were able to sample most of the menu items, and did a lot of sharing - there wasn't a single disappointment!
We were treated like any other guests, not an experience echoed in some other participating restaurants. We will absolutely be back to experience the full menu!
We went for restaurant week. Service felt a bit slow but not unreasonable. I made a not on the reservation that it was my bfs birthday. They gave up champagne at the beginning and a candle on the dessert which was a perfect touch. Just what I wanted and he felt special. Food was great! Burrata and pesto gnocchi were both amazing. I loved his steak but my veal wasn’t as amazing as I had hoped. Staff were all friendly and lovely. Thanks!
We enjoyed this restaurant. Everyone raved about their entrees. everyone in the
group thanked me for making the reservation and said they would like to
return to this restaurant again. We had gtreat service.
Food was average, the principal server was less than stellar and it took, in my estimation, an inordinate amount of time to take our order and just as long to check back in with us throughout the meal. Their support staff, however, was quite attentive.
I had not been back for so long that I forgot how good this place is. Very extensive wine list. Pasta is all homemade and delicious. As I had just been to another restaurant the week prior and had a very similar dish of the shrimp app it did not quite hit the mark of the other with dynamic flavor. That said all other food was good and would go back.
We loved the Restaurant. We took a friend that loved our choice.
Rosemarie and Denny
Everything was excellent. I had Swordfish and my wife had Strip Steak. We both had Octopus for the appetizer and Prifiteroles for dessert. Four stars.
Server left a lot to be desired, but Alexa, the manager, more than compensated
Bartender was kinda rude, I asked for a drink with gin instead of tito's vodka (what kind of place even serves Tito's vodka that's not a frat house??). When I got the drink, it tasted like vodka to me, so I asked our waitress if we could get another one with gin. The bartender remade the drink, making our waitress pour the gin in front of us-- so pompous. Our waitress was sweet so at least there was that. Bill came to about $200 for 2 people, but we both felt like it should have been a $100 meal. Definitely had other $200 meals that were 1000 times better. I think the octopus ruined it for me. I thought it was impossible to ruin octopus but this place proved me wrong. It was way too salty and I wasnt feeling the cantaloupe with it. The burrata was good, just didnt like the bread that it came with. My boyfriend got the NY strip and I got the parpadelle and we both thought they were just mediocre. Probably wouldn't recommend this place, but most places in philly are hit or miss for Italian.
The food was great. We also had a bottle of wine. The desert was delicious. The server was great. It was an enjoyable evening.
Very accommodating wait staff, even with our party of 6.
I’ve eaten here multiple times before and the food was good quality. My meal this past weekend however was one of the worst meals I’ve eaten anywhere. Neither myself or my date enjoyed our entree or dessert and did not eat much of the food provided because of its poor quality because we knew quickly that we would be going elsewhere to have a good meal and that’s exactly what we’d did. We took a few bites and spent all that money just to go somewhere else for quality food. Very disappointing and I can say that I will never go back.
Nice. Expensive. Such a nice environment though if you get past how stiff people are acting
Great food and great service. Would definitely recommend
The food was amazing from the beginning to the end. The ambience of the entire restaurant was incredible; nice lighting, good temperature, etc. My friend and I really enjoyed the tiramisu for dessert. This is my second time coming to this restaurant and so far, my expectations continue to be surpassed here. For all the classy people in Philadelphia, stop by Panorama.
