We seemed to pick the night when the specials and certain entres were 86ed. Disappointing. They didn’t seem to lose the check though.
We haven’t been to the restaurant in over 10 years
We were so delighted when we returned
We loved our meal and 3 of us enjoyed the wine flights
We can wait to return
My overall experience was great! The food was amazing and the building was very unique. The only problem I had was that my boyfriend and I are only 20 and when the waiter came up to us he made us feel less of a person because of our ages. The table next to us was talked to kindly and was even told the chefs special for the night which sounded amazing but he did not take the time with us to tell us the special. I wasn’t thrilled with the waiter but the restaurant was very nice.
Everything was perfect
We celebrated Valentine’s Day by attending a play at the Arden theater and dinner at Panorama. We were immediately welcomed and our server was very attentive. We had a four course meal and each course was excellent. We finished off our evening with cheesecake which was light and exquisite and my date had flourless chocolate cake that chocolate lovers would have no words to describe how good was the dessert!
Food was excellent as well as the service. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Amazing wine selection!
Will be going back next time I'm in Philly.
Early Valentine dinner. Started with the grilled shrimp antipasta and after the first bite, wished we weren't sharing. The flavors melted in your mouth. For the entrée, I had Braciola which was tender and delicious. My date had the NY Strip that was cooked perfectly and was excellent. Wanted to try the pastas but would have been too much, so looking forward to a return visit. The wines by the glass are worth the trip and the flights look fun so definitely will be returning.
This place is all-around excellent! If you are staying at the Penn's View Inn, you must go there.
We often dine at Panorama after a Saturday matinee at the Arden Theatre (close by and you get a discount). The food is consistently excellent as is the service. They also have a great wine program -- lots and lots of wines by the glass and a varied full bottle list. Primarily Italian fare very well prepared and served.
Excellent wine selection. We ordered a flight after talking with a sommelier. Enjoyed the wine along with some appetizers. It was quiet and we could talk. Highly recommend.
The pastas are amazing- fresh, light, and interesting. We both started off with a half order of pasta, the wild boar papardelle and the agnolotti. Both were delicious. Our entrees were the veal tenderloin and the duck. We both agreed we would skip the entrees next time as they were only fair and order two half orders of pasta each.
This place gets more sophisticated year after year. Inventive Italian dishes served by professional staff and overseen by exemplary management. Try the grilled shrimp antipasti or the chitarra. The calamari and broccoli rabe are always perfect. Exceptional selection of wines as well. Top notch!
The service was very good. The food was good, but the portions were small. My husband and I shared the antipasto appetizer for 19.00 but it was very small. I had asked if it was enough for two and the server said it was. The restaurant is beautiful.
Fantastic food, awesome atmosphere!
68th Anniversary for our parents. Lovely diner and setting. One minor flaw with a dry martini. Couldn’t quite get it right but waiter was great and substituted another drink!
Food was amazing.
Just a super “meh” experience. We were placed at the most awkward table and the food was nothing to write home about. The wine was the saving grace as the wine flights are pretty cool! Probably won’t return
Loved out experience here. Staff was great. As was the food. Our waiters recommendations were spot on. Food was tasty. Was a little tight fit sitting but reminded us of restaurants in Italy. Will definitely b back.
We tried Panorama for Philadelphia Restaurant Week. It's one of the few gluten-free options, which I needed. A group of 7 of us always go to Restaurant Week, but had never tried Panorama. We were pleasantly surprised... the food was excellent, and they offer their entire menu for restaurant week, not just 3 options for each course like most places. Their pasta was great, as was my veal and the flourless chocolate dessert... I'll definitely return!
Service was wonderful.
It was an overall pleasant experience, the food was good but not fantastic. Big place and huge wine list with flight options which was nice.
Lousy, cold, unrendered fatty food. Freezing cold restaurant with slow to non existent service. If you want a drink go right to the bar or else you will get your wine by the time you are served dessert. Waste of time and money.
Loved the ambiance. The wine flights are extensive and fun to try. Our server, Evelyn, was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately she had to come to our table several times to apologize for the delay in getting our food. She said it was because they were busy and everything was made to order. Still we had a 7:30 reservation and did not get our entree until 9:15. Fortunately my husband and I enjoy each other’s company. Despite this I would go again and would recommend it to friends.
Restaurant week menu was excellent with many good choices.
I dined here two days in a row as it was Restaurant Week. They have a very large menu to choose from with about ten choices of entree. Everything well presented and usually servers are well informed
Evelyn, our server was simply great. She was the perfect blend of professional yet friendly. She was attentive but never intrusive. She clearly knew the menu. And what a menu. The best restaurant week menu I have ever encountered. We had been to Panorama before but I cannot understand why we waited so long to return. The experience was fantastic.
Restaurant week in philly means going to Panorama. Salmon inconsistent in portion size from dinner on Sunday to Wednesday however. All else was excellent. Pasta and Italian dishes the best.
I keep returning to this restaurant because they do not disappoint. The space is lovely, with a rustic but refined charm, the food is excellent and the wait staff is prepared, knowledgeable and courteous. The Restaurant Week menu is the same as the regular menu with just a modulation for the prix fixe. Fantastic, as always.
Very nice price fixe for restaurant week. Will return for full menu dinner next time we are in town.
Attractive setting near the River inside a boutique hotel Panorama is known for excellent Italian food and a very large wine selection available by the glass
