My girlfriends birthday was an amazing experience
Fantastic. Everything was just fantastic. Went here for our anniversary. We had not been in 4 years and were anxious to see the remodel and try the new menu. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The service was prompt, friendly, and professional - offering us two nice-sized glasses of proseco to kick off our celebration. The appetizers were to die for. Fresh burrata with grilled avocado and a raw honey sauce - perfect texture and flavor balance - and a waygu meatball on a ricotta pie - incredibly flavorful, I could have licked the sauce from the plate. The entrees were the right portion and stunning - both visually and in taste. My lamb shoulder agrodolce tortellini with sunchoke and black garlic pesto was one of the best meals I have had in the city. Also, need to mention the focaccia and pesto served with the meal were perfect morsels, salty and herbaceous, but not detracting from the rest of the food. I would buy the pesto by the gallon. Finally, the wine setup and offerings are impeccable. So much to choose from and a knowledgeable staff. GO HERE! NOW!
Great wine list. Wine flights were fun to share and to get to taste multiple wines. Food is amazing!
Amazing experience, food and wines were delicious. This is an ideal place for a date or a special occasion dinner.
Braciola was tender, nicely prepared and presented. The roast pork Ravioli with the oyster mushrooms had great flavor. NY Strip Stake was cooked perfectly - medium rare - and tender. Brought 3 of 4 salads but had to remind waiter about the 4th salad. Ordered additional glass of wine and it was never provided.
They have recently renovated the restaurant and the food was really delicious. The pasta was the highlight and of course the wine flights are always so much fun. Great experience!
I've been to Panorama many times for business occasions, including a wrap-up party at the end of a very intense series of professional workshops. The staff is always accommodating, the place is always busy, but it never gets terribly noisy. The food is always outstanding. I brought 3 guests who had never been to Philly before, and insisted on bringing them to Panorama for the extensive wines-by-the-glass. These are NYC foodies who like natural food, so they only drink biodynamic wines (beyond organic), as do I. I suggested the flight of "biodynamic beauties" as they call it on the menu, and they loved it! We all ordered a glass of delicious wine after our flights. And they loved the food. It was a very successful business dinner with some people I enjoy very much. Thank you, Panorama, for coming through and making this such a wonderful evening!
Very nice! Perfect!
We had been to Panorama several times and had good experiences, so we chose it to celebrate a birthday. What a mistake. We arrived & were seated at our table by 7:30. We did not leave until 10, the last people out of the restaurant. Not because we wanted to be, but because we had a brand new, very inexperienced server. She never asked any other employees for help. She basically abandoned our table. We were always waiting... it took more than 30 minutes just to place our order. 15 minutes to get a bottle of wine. It took 3 different people to get bread, never had water.... 20 minutes to place a coffee order. We were so disgusted we did not even want dessert. There were many employees of varying positions walking around that we had to constantly ask for help. You would think that they would alert the mgmt. to a problem but no. At the VERY end, a manager came over to ask how dinner was. My suggestion is to communicate with your staff, train them to alert you to issues such as these so you do not get to this point. Why this restaurant would leave a brand new server with no backup to wing it defies common sense. Epic fail.
Great meal, value and experience. Would definitely come back.
Once again, the best place in town. Food is outstanding. Wine list is the absolute greatest in the country, and the service was lovely. They really care about your experience. I can't recommend this place to enough people.
When we arrived, there was no hostess in sight, but we were greeted by a waitress. I gave her my name and told her that we had a reservation. She stated that she would check the computer and be right back. In her absence, a hostess appeared from a side room, ignored us and greeted a couple who arrived after us without a reservation and promptly seated them, leaving us standing there. The waitress returned with menus in hand which she proceeded to give to the newly seated couple, glanced at us and pulled the hostess aside for a whispered conversation. She then approached us and told us that our table was being set. We were offered a 4-top next to the door of the room where a private event was being held. We agreed to sit there as there didn't seem to be any other options. It appeared that our "reserved" table was given to the other couple. The 4-top was split into two deuces, and we were finally seated. It was an awkward start to our dining experience; but it improved slightly once our waiter arrived. He was knowledgeable, made recommendations when asked and the food and wine was delicious although not remarkable. It had been a couple of years since we've been to Panorama; because of that, we thought it would be great to return. However, with so many wonderful Italian restaurant options available in Philadelphia, and the less than optimal way we were treated, I'm not sure we'll hurry back.
Five of us went on a Sunday evening for the "Ravioli Week" special. Had great wines (at happy hour prices) and tried four of the specials - a variety of filled pastas. All were great. Started with appetizers of tuna carpaccio, octopus, and burrata which were all excellent. Can't wait to go back.
Entertaining friends from New York City. We wanted someplace where we could have a conversation without shouting. This was perfect. We had a great table in a cozy corner. The waiter was most attentive, food excellent and our New York Friends were impressed.
Enjoyed the food and decor.
Great food, so-so service-needs work. Felt we were in his way
Great wines done nicely. The specials were special.
We love Panorama. Delicious food (focaccia with pesto, mushrooms, Caesar salad, pork ravioli, pork rib eye, etc.) and drink (paper plane martini, wines). This time our family group of 6 was celebrating a birthday, but every visit is a special occasion! Thank you, Alex and Michael!
Great dinner with friends. Not only is the food and service great, the wine selection is beyond the pale. This was our second visit and we will definately return
Food was very good. Service was a bit slow from waiter. Long time in between visits.
Panorama was lovely. Service was great and the food was delicious!
Was very delicious. Was very expensive. Desserts were not of the same quality as appetizers and dinner.
It was great
Food was good. Menu limited. Service was good and restaurant was busy. All in all a nice night out. Wine flight selection which I believe was double bubble waa excellent
Food was fantastic the wine selection was second to none. We will be back again.
The complimentary champagne for my birthday was a very nice touch! Fantastic meal!
The entrees here were pretty good- we ordered two pasta dishes. However, my date and I have both had better pasta for the same price at other places. The tiramisu desert, however, was the greatest sweet thing my tastebuds have ever experienced. It made up for the uninterested server and uninspiring main course. If you go, get a nice bottle of wine from their huge selection and skip right ahead to the desert.
The Food was Awesom. I recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and have been here many times. I will bring my family and friends. I have never had a bad experience here yet. The Wine selection is the best in the city. The Gnocchi is the best. They always maintain a high quality of food. I will be back. Thank You
We seemed to pick the night when the specials and certain entres were 86ed. Disappointing. They didn’t seem to lose the check though.
We haven’t been to the restaurant in over 10 years
We were so delighted when we returned
We loved our meal and 3 of us enjoyed the wine flights
We can wait to return
The food was great, the service impeccable. Wonderful experience can’t wait to come back!
My overall experience was great! The food was amazing and the building was very unique. The only problem I had was that my boyfriend and I are only 20 and when the waiter came up to us he made us feel less of a person because of our ages. The table next to us was talked to kindly and was even told the chefs special for the night which sounded amazing but he did not take the time with us to tell us the special. I wasn’t thrilled with the waiter but the restaurant was very nice.
Everything was perfect
We celebrated Valentine’s Day by attending a play at the Arden theater and dinner at Panorama. We were immediately welcomed and our server was very attentive. We had a four course meal and each course was excellent. We finished off our evening with cheesecake which was light and exquisite and my date had flourless chocolate cake that chocolate lovers would have no words to describe how good was the dessert!
Food was excellent as well as the service. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Amazing wine selection!
Will be going back next time I'm in Philly.
Early Valentine dinner. Started with the grilled shrimp antipasta and after the first bite, wished we weren't sharing. The flavors melted in your mouth. For the entrée, I had Braciola which was tender and delicious. My date had the NY Strip that was cooked perfectly and was excellent. Wanted to try the pastas but would have been too much, so looking forward to a return visit. The wines by the glass are worth the trip and the flights look fun so definitely will be returning.
This place is all-around excellent! If you are staying at the Penn's View Inn, you must go there.
We often dine at Panorama after a Saturday matinee at the Arden Theatre (close by and you get a discount). The food is consistently excellent as is the service. They also have a great wine program -- lots and lots of wines by the glass and a varied full bottle list. Primarily Italian fare very well prepared and served.
