Great wine, food, friendly staff
Every staff member I encountered was professional and friendly. The appetizers were delicious; I had the duck as an entree and it was perfect! My server, Francesca, was an absolute delight from beginning to end! She was attentive, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Great experience!
Panarama never disappoints. Food and service were great.
The Rigatoni is sooooo good! You can tell this dish was made with love. I loved having a flight of wine and calamari to start off my meal! Would definitely come back again.
We had a delicious meal here for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. Staff was very attentive. We recommend the pasta dishes. Dessert was yummy too. Lovely space.
The staff were all exceptional! They adjusted a dish for my sons taste and spoke with us about our trip.
Excellent food and service!
Always an amazing meal at the bar with the best bartenders anywhere in the city!
My wife heard good things about Panorama, and my friend was in town with his girlfriend, so the 4 of us went for a nice Saturday dinner.
First impressions were great -- the restaurant is beautiful. It's "up my alley" in terms of decor -- brick, glass, marble, just really well done design. We were seated in a small but lovely table for 4 people. Our server was kind, friendly, and his presence was welcomed and appreciated. On service and decor, I really liked Panorama!
I thought the food (and pricing) was a hit or miss. We got the wagyu beef meatball dish, which I thought was very good. It was a weird taste/texture on first bite but the gravy was good and I warmed up to it; it wasn't like nonna's meatballs, and I had to be reminded of that. We were also treated to some cornbread, I think it was cornbread, it was flat and was just OK. Served with a caramelized onion butter, which sounded great in theory but was a little harsh for me. But, I appreciated the out-of-the-box approach even if the execution wasn't there.
Main courses -- I got the NY strip, my friends got the chicken Milanese and braciole. They seemed to enjoy their dishes. I liked my NY strip, which was cooked correctly (med-rare) and was quite juicy and delicious. But they piled all these veggies on top -- mushrooms, tomatoes, and what might have been celery? I don't know. I had a few bites and brushed it all off. I think if they did the NY strip with a small mashed or polenta side, it would have been better. Finally, dessert was their chocolate cake and a lemon cake. The lemon cake was overly sweet/tart. The chocolate cake was OK.
The drinks were OK; I had a gin drink on their board and it was tasty. We ordered a champagne flight that I did not think was worth the price, personally ($36 for what amounted to maybe 2 wine glasses worth of champagne). But it was tasty, interesting, and again - out of the ordinary enough.
All-in-all, a good experience, albeit a little pricey for the execution missteps.
Excellent food and atmosphere, the service was outstanding.
Panorama was amazing! The service was fantastic and attentive! They brought over a complimentary glass of Prosecco at the start for my birthday, and gave us another complimentary glass of limoncello at the end of the meal! The food was beyond all expectations! So delicious with fresh ingredients and imaginative. I can’t wait to return!
Amazing food!! I would highly recommend the pasta with clams, and I asked them to add in asparagus and shrimp. It was very good!!
We were seated at the wine bar and were able to take in the ambiance while eating. The service was quick and the bartender was very friendly and helpful. The food and wine was incredible. We will absolutely be back
As always, fabulous friendly service and excellent food. What more can you ask for.
Was looking forward to a return visit until we waited over 20 minutes after being seated in the dining room before the waitress said quickly I’ll
Be right with you and then ten more minutes passed and she never came back. I don’t mind waiting a bit if I at least have a drink in my hand but that didn’t happen. I am sensitive to the shortage of people willing to work but there were plenty of staff walking around. We ended up getting up and sitting at the bar and we’re taken care of. Food and wine were excellent. I suggest there be more training for waitstaff when it comes to making people wait. There is a way to handle it and ignoring your customers is not one of those ways.
Excellent food, excellent service!
Wow! Wow! Wow! My girlfriend and I literally got lucky by finding this hidden gem walking through Old City. The wine list was spectacular, the food was flavorful (we had the Brazilian and Chicken Milanese), and the service was on - point!!! We sat outdoors and enjoyed the nice breeze off of the waterfront and sounds of the city. The music selection was a nice touch as well (70's and 80's soul on that day). We will be back 😀
Food , service all was fantastic
The experience relates to wine was very disappointing - we ended up just getting cocktails. I asked what the waiter would recommend for a fan of dry reisling- his answer was that they were ‘out of reisling but we have some other things like moscato’ For a place that calls itself a wine bar this is pretty tough to swallow.
The food was delicious and so were the cocktails but we went there looking for some good wine and were so turned off we audibled out of it.
wine was great. food was ok. it was a bit pricey for the value
The out door seating is well prepared but sit against a highway so it can get loud with cars and trucks going by. Overall great food and a huge wine list
Lovely restaurant with excellent food and service.
While our food was delicious we wish it had a broader menu. We struggled a little to find something we would truly enjoy.
First post COVID-19 visit to Panorama. The wine is the best. The food was good. Service was good. This is the first time in years where I sat at a table, usually it’s the bar for me.
Panorama consistently produces the best dinning experience in Philadelphia. My wife had the veal and I had the lamb. Simply delicious. Entire experience was amazing.
Always a pleasure. 😊
Lovely servers but host, Kevin, was miserable. He tainted the entire experience. Food was mediocre.
We sat at the bar finally and had a wonderful dinner. Alex the bartender was great. The duck confit was melt in your mouth. My husband had the rigatoni with a wild boar Bolognese sauce which is one of his favorites.
Great to return to our favorite restaurant. Everything is wonderful. Really enjoyed our flights.
Would only wish for a vegan option.
It has been quite awhile since we dined at Panorama and it is still a great dining experience. We were greeted and taken to our table. Our server, Jonathan,
Intruded himself to us and inquired whether we preferred sparkling water or still and went over the menu with us explaining that night’s special entree. Cocktails were ordered and we placed our appetizer order. We were not rushed in any way and as we were finishing our first course we put in our entree order.
The appetizers were excellent: I had the burrata which was outstanding and someone had the eggplant parmigiana which received rave reviews.
We ordered 4 entrees: braciola, chicken milenese, salmon and the special offering of the night, the lamb shoulder. All we exceptional.
It was a great evening and we look forward to dining there again.
Panorama was good. The food was well seasoned & tasty. The wine flights were great. The service could have been better. Our waitress was average at best, didn’t have any suggestions & wasn’t friendly. It was restaurant week & it was disappointing that we couldn’t get anything off the regular menu. That should’ve been specified when the reservation was booked.
Excellent spot for a nice Italian dinner. We enjoyed a flight of Italian red wine. I think it was definitely in the top 5 Italian places I've eaten at in Philly. Service was great too.
Fabulous all around
I would not return here. Server was not friendly and also very pushy trying to get us to order more and more. He approached our table asking if we wanted tequila shots. He didn’t interact much besides when he was trying to get us to order more drinks / food. Then he was very pushy with getting us to leave. Food was just average, nothing wowed us at all. If the service didn’t give off such bad vibes, our experience would have been better. Philly is filled with way better restaurants then this place. Don’t waste your time or money.
Excellent indoor dining experience during Philly's Restaurant Week. First time indoors at a restaurant since COVID. Great re-entry experience. Location is extremely convenient on public transportation. 48 bus drops you at their door! Staff was terrific.
Food and ambiance were good but our server seemed in a rush and not very helpful with the menu
Great food and wine. Service was a little slow, but they were crowded. The shrimp appy was fabulous. Good steak.
The food and ambience and background music were all excellent!
Overall poor service, overcooked food, undertrained staff.
Food was outstanding, the wine flight a good deal. Thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience.
