Executive Chef Matthew Gentile has revamped the Italian menu and interpreted Panorama’s stable of recipes, many of which had been in the Sena family for generations, and edited them with modern techniques, lighter ingredients and clean presentations. Chef Gentile adds a large selection of homemade pastas, large plates for sharing, and many lighter options that can be combined for a meal.Panorama was recognized with a Guinness World Record as the World’s Largest Wine Bar via an award bestowed on its custom-designed winekeeper/cruvinet, which offers 120 wines on tap.
The restaurant is hyper-focused on wine, with up to 150 wines by the glass available at any time. Try one of our signature Panoramic Flights — a personal wine tasting offering a sampling of five different wines within a select group - from a selection of over 2 dozen fun and provocative themes.

We went for a special very expensive Passover dinner as we couldn’t have our usual dinner at home, The matzah ball soup was really mushroom soup and the matzah ball was so hard I could hardly cut it with a fork. It had no flavor and was not similar to any matzah ball soup I ever had! No one liked it and we were 7 people. The short ribs came out room temperature but dinner took so long and we had little children- we mostly let that go. The salmon was overly done with a hard crust on top and no flavor. The waitress was unfriendly and the whole experience was not what we hoped for. Very expensive and most of us came home hungry and disappointed. We would Never go back.

This was our second time at Panorama. The service and atmosphere are great. The food is delicious. The only complaint about this visit... I ordered halibut, the fish special, the portion was way too small. I am a petite woman and I was still hungry after the meal.

We found Panorama on Open Table, and really enjoyed it! Amy at the bar was great, knew her stuff about the 100s of wines by the glass, and really made waiting for our friends enjoyable. Once at our table, the food was AWESOME. Timely in its delivery and cooked to perfection. The duck homemade pasta was amazing, as was the strip steak. We will definitely return!

Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The only negative was that we didn't receive our polenta until everyone was almost done eating.

Incredible wine selection, -if you’re interested in wine this is definitely the place to go. Their sommelier on staff is knowledgeable & helpful, especially if you’re not sure exactly what you’re looking for.

Although I took my friends here exclusively for wine flights before dinner reservations elsewhere, I’ve dined here three times previously & found their dishes to be good -not stellar. Compared to other Italian restaurants in Philly (& let’s be real, the competition is fierce) this probably wouldn’t be the place I’d recommend to someone visiting looking to be impressed by an authentic Italian meal.

However, if you love wine or want to really wow someone who does, this is a top option. This is precisely the reason I took my friends (who love wine) here before dinner. They loved it!

Exceeded expectations from beginning until the end starting with a friendly and tentive staff, the appetizers were fantastic especially the Tuna tartare which I highly recommend. My wife had the lamb which was delicious and I had the veal dish which was very good and tender. We polished off the meal with exquisite tiramisu and good coffee. Highly recommend the restaurant and if you lucky you will have Talia as the server.

Wine flights and homemade pasta made this restaurant a perfect choice! Everything we ordered was delicious. The only complaints we had were that the food portions are a little small for the price that they are charging and our we often had to wait a while for our waitress to come back to our table. She was very kind and did apologize for the wait and she gave us a glass of wine for free. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine selection!

Best wine bar in Philadelphia, Their feather light gnocchi’s are to die for!!! They are made with both potato and ricotta cheese. They were served with a pesto sauce which was so delectable. Grilled octopus is fabulous. Compliments to their chef. We have never been disappointed with Panorama.

I really enjoyed the ambiance at Panorama and it's unique feature: wine flights! However, my fiance and I came on a Tuesday night, and it was clear that they were trying to shuffle us along through our dinner, as everything came out very quickly. The food was good, but the price coupled with how fast the dinner was moving left us wanting more.

Originally we were worried about better wine than food and possibly very noisy per other reviews, but not true!! we weren’t able to drink much wine because we had to travel via car , but the food was absolutely outstanding , the wines we chose by the glass were excellent , and the service was the best yet! Prompt ,friendly, unobtrusive and precise!! The highlight of the four entrées was the osso bucco, but others choosing the lamb and veal were quite impressed . The bread, calamari and gnocci was great . Couldn’t ask for a better meal at a fair price for location. One thought is that service was so efficient because we chose an early dinner hour. We will definitely return!

Without posting their draconian policy on the web the restaurant refused the normal practice of charging a corckrage fee for bringing my own bottle of wine to drink with dinner. Really rude conduct.

The wine flights, although a great idea and a great way to try new wines, were so over priced!! Barely even filled the glasses even though they state they’re “0.5oz”. Total BS! Our waitress new NOTHING, not the bar menu, wine list, and barely even the food menu. Food was just okay and was really expensive. Definitely not what I was expecting and will not be returning.
The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 was because I got a cup of coffee for dessert and it was REALLY good. Only thing pleasant about my experience.

I came here after my civil wedding ceremony with our parents and found it to be perfect. Three of us were vegetarian and we were all able to get different dishes (which is rare unless you go to a restaurant that advertises itself as vegan or vegetarian, unfortunately). The service was exceptional and it was quiet. We asked to be seated away from other parties if it was possible and they did a great job of setting us in a corner so we could have a small family celebration. Would definitely go back!
