Executive Chef Matthew Gentile has revamped the Italian menu and interpreted Panorama’s stable of recipes, many of which had been in the Sena family for generations, and edited them with modern techniques, lighter ingredients and clean presentations. Chef Gentile adds a large selection of homemade pastas, large plates for sharing, and many lighter options that can be combined for a meal.Panorama was recognized with a Guinness World Record as the World’s Largest Wine Bar via an award bestowed on its custom-designed winekeeper/cruvinet, which offers 120 wines on tap.
The restaurant is hyper-focused on wine, with up to 150 wines by the glass available at any time. Try one of our signature Panoramic Flights — a personal wine tasting offering a sampling of five different wines within a select group - from a selection of over 2 dozen fun and provocative themes.

Originally we were worried about better wine than food and possibly very noisy per other reviews, but not true!! we weren’t able to drink much wine because we had to travel via car , but the food was absolutely outstanding , the wines we chose by the glass were excellent , and the service was the best yet! Prompt ,friendly, unobtrusive and precise!! The highlight of the four entrées was the osso bucco, but others choosing the lamb and veal were quite impressed . The bread, calamari and gnocci was great . Couldn’t ask for a better meal at a fair price for location. One thought is that service was so efficient because we chose an early dinner hour. We will definitely return!

Without posting their draconian policy on the web the restaurant refused the normal practice of charging a corckrage fee for bringing my own bottle of wine to drink with dinner. Really rude conduct.

The wine flights, although a great idea and a great way to try new wines, were so over priced!! Barely even filled the glasses even though they state they’re “0.5oz”. Total BS! Our waitress new NOTHING, not the bar menu, wine list, and barely even the food menu. Food was just okay and was really expensive. Definitely not what I was expecting and will not be returning.
The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 was because I got a cup of coffee for dessert and it was REALLY good. Only thing pleasant about my experience.

Wine flights are so fun! David the Somm is the best. Very approachable and knowledgeable. First time I ever had Lebanese red wine and it was my favorite of the night! The pasta dishes we had were delicious!

I came here after my civil wedding ceremony with our parents and found it to be perfect. Three of us were vegetarian and we were all able to get different dishes (which is rare unless you go to a restaurant that advertises itself as vegan or vegetarian, unfortunately). The service was exceptional and it was quiet. We asked to be seated away from other parties if it was possible and they did a great job of setting us in a corner so we could have a small family celebration. Would definitely go back!

We have been here several times. The way they are set up now is cozy, the wine selection is fabulous and the food excellent. We split a delicious beet salad They have a small plate option for pasta-perfect size. We even had dessert—an olive oil cake! The service is friendly and efficient. We will be back!

Went on a Friday night during restaurant week. Food was plentiful except dessert was a bit skimpy and their cocktail was weak. Food was very tasty, the place is warm and cozy. Our waiter was great. Would definitely come again

We had an anniversary lunch for restaurant week and it was wonderful! They even gave us 2 glasses of champagne to help us celebrate! The food was prepared nicely and was very tasty. I had the seafood crepe, my husband had the Fish special (salmon) and said it was delish. The abundance of wine "flights "available is amazing. I had all Roses'-but there is a flight combination for everyone tastes. We truly enjoyed our meal.

We called to move our reservation back to 9pm, we spoke to a man with an Italian accent. He said he changed it no problem. When 7pm came i got an email saying we missed the reservation but thought nothing of it because we called the restaurant directly. When we arrived before 9pm, the hostess said we missed our 7pm reservation. When we explained what happened she said, oh that’s the owner, Luca, he does that a lot... it happened 4 times in the past couple days! She said they didn’t have any tables and to have a seat at the bar. There were other couples where the same thing happened. We got seated at 9:20, at a table in the very back when other tables were open throughout the restaurant. The service was fast but pushy and didn’t offer relevant information when choosing a wine so we chose not to drink. The dessert was skimpy because it looks like they ran out of a lot of the tiramisu ingredients. Overall 3 stars

Had an amazing dinner with my boyfriend at Panorama for Restaurant Week on Saturday night. We were seated at a cozy corner table so we could sit kind of next to each other instead of across the table and had such a nice time just talking and having fun trying all different kinds of wine! We could not believe the wine list which is suuuuper extensive as you could imagine - there's something for everyone! We opted to share the cab flight and it was fantastic for $29. Can't beat that and so much more fun than just getting a couple glasses.

I really love the ambiance of Panorama with the dim lights and candle lit tables, it really adds a nice, romantic feel! As for the food, everything was great and such a steal for $35 for restaurant week! We started with the pasta with octopus (can't remember the exact name) and the burrata tortellini as the first course. Both were stellar but small portions but I didn't mind that at all. For our main course, we both opted for the N.Y. Strip Steak which was cooked to perfection. I do not consider myself a steak person, but was told I couldn't miss out on this which turned out to be the case! For dessert, we ended with a chocolate ganache cake (substitute for the cannoli on the menu that night) and the tiramisu. I am a sucker for tiramisu and this one was very good, but different as it was more like an espresso cake topped with coffee ice cream and whipped cream.

We will be back to Panorama for sure!

This was our second visit to Panorama. This place is famous for having the world's largest wine list, and their flights of wine are a really fun way to experience something new. But I think it's the food that shines here. On our last visit I had the Hen of the Woods mushroom appetizer and I didn't know 'shrooms could be so tasty. My husband had the octopus which he thought was amazing. He had a perfectly cooked strip stead and I had lamb. Both excellent and prepared in ways that made them special. Service is friendly, helpful and upscale. The rooms are beautiful. The first time we sat in the large room at the front, and thought it couldn't be prettier until we sat in back behind the bar in a lovely room with a gorgeous mural on the wall. A great place for a special occasion or a romantic night out.

The first time we visited years ago we loved it. Unfortunately it seems to have gone down hill. Our service was very slow, had to send back the calamari and time between finishing app and entree delivery was over 45 minutes.

The only good thing about Panorama is the wine selection and cheese. My entree was cold, my appetizer had no seasoning and the cannoli was subpar. So many more delicious, cheaper options in the city

My friend and I went for Restaurant Week and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The restaurant is really nice inside, and while it was full, the volume wasn’t overbearing. The complimentary focaccia and pesto was lovely! My friend had the shrimp appetizer, the fish of the day (salmon), and the olive oil cake dessert. I had the gnocchi with pesto, N.Y. Strip, and tiramisu. All of the food was amazing! Cooked to perfection, plated beautifully, and served promptly. We each also ordered a wine flight because it’s such a unique offering and presentation! I had the mixed wine #602, which was great! My friend got the Cabernet Sauvignon flight, which she also enjoyed. Overall, we truly enjoyed our experience here and my friend already recommended the restaurant to her sister to go ASAP. Very nice for a girl’s night out, romantic dinner, or special occasion.

Came here for restaurant on a Tuesday. The options for the courses were plentiful. Got a flight and a few glasses of wine to accompany dinner based off the wonderful sommelier's recommendations. My only remark was that the food was bland, which was extremely surprising. Though the wine went extremely well with the meal, it was hard to get past the salt factor, or lack there of. 9/10 only because of that. Would still come back, but more of a pre/after dinner destination with no desire for snacks.

We go for Restaurant Week lunch often. Great wine list. The entrees here are around $20 so restaurant week ($20 for 3 courses) is a bargain and we take advantage of it. The food is superb and the waitstaff great! If you are into wine this is also the place to go. Very classy but not pretension.
