"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Excellent service and food ! One of our favorite places !
Food was great (but cold ). However there were seven of us and that could of played a factor.
Excellent food, prepared exactly as I asked. Service was beyond excellent!! Will definitely return.
I hosted an important customer and chose Pane E Vino because of my tremendous eating experiences in the past. My clients loved the food, wine and overall dining experience.
We came to Pane Vino to celebrate a birthday. We absolutely love the food and atmosphere. The wait staff made this special occasion perfect. The table was decorated and the staff made sure everything was to our liking. I highly recommend Pane Vino for any occasion.
Visiting from out of town to celebrate my daughters birthday. Food was fabulous and staff was very attentive. Will be coming here again.
So wonderful and so consistent- the three course prix fixe dinner menu offers many selections and each is tasty and satisfying. Atmosphere is relaxing and service is always top-notch.
Second time we have been there. Absolutely delicious. Loved the weekday special menu.
We were there for Easter lunch. It was wonderful!!
very good gluten free options. Went for Easter lunch.
Everything was great, and portions were more than adequate!
We had an amazing dinner and our waitress Heather was not only so friendly but so helpful and knowledgeable about everything in the restaurant. We can't wait to come back and bring friends and family.
Food was delicious !! Excellent dining experience.
Service was the highlight! Also the food is really good!
Good food and great service. We stopped by before a show and the watress did a great job getting us in/out in 45 minutes.
Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived. There was an open table in the dinning room set for 6 upon arrival. The bar was full and no place to wait without feeling as though we were in the way. I was with my 2 elderly parents. Hostess told us they were waiting for a table to finish up and then we would be seated. Almost 1/2 later, they broke down the empty table set for 6 and set it for 4. Then sat us there and removed one place setting. Seemed silly that we literally stood and waited on the other side of the wall - of an open table and didn’t get seated there’s for almost 30 minutes. It was also VERY noisy due to a large party seated across from us in the front of the room.
I asked for a glass of Chianti with my main course. The wines are on the menu, which we gave back to the waitresse after ordering dinner. She recommended three different wines. I randomly chose one knowing the wines they sell by the glass were reasonably priced. When we got the bill I was so shocked tto see a TWENTY FIVE $ glass of wine. I asked the waitress if the glass of wine was really $25. She just said yes without hesitation and walked away. I will NEVER go back. There is no $25 glass of wine on the menu. She padded the bill. Be warned.
Always so pleased with experience at Pane e Vino! Food and service impeccable!!
This was our first visit, although we have been to their sister restaurant, Massimo, a few times and loved it. We are now in love with this one too! Beautiful ambience --more traditional than Massimo which is very mid century modern--and people where dressed in everything from casual to business attire. The food was excellent. We had two different pastas and loved every bite of both. Our appetizer and dessert was just as good. One of the biggest joys of the evening was our server Edmund (Edward? Sorry!) who was also training to be a sommelier, but also knew his mixed drinks and beer. Prices for entrees started around $18-20. This is a very popular place so highly recommend reservations. Up on Federal Hill and does have free valet parking. We will definitely be going back.
I can't say any negative. It was even better than the other times we've been there.
Outstanding. Best Chicken Marsala I’ve ever had!!! Great service, great wine list great good!!!!
Excellent service. Food was outstanding. We will definitely be back. A hidden gem on the "hill".
We had an excellent dinner at Pane e Vino for a reasonable price. We both ordered from the weeknight Trattoria menu and enjoyed our salads and entrees so much we had to bring the included desserts home. Lasagna and chicken with mushrooms were both scrumptious. Enjoy!
I love this restaurant. They make us feel special every time we go there. Great service and super attentive and the food is great!!! I also love Julia! She is a sweetheart! She along with Esther's sister catered the morning of my daughter's wedding at our home and they were delightful! People were well catered to and girls were very attentive to all of our guest's needs. I couldn't do it without them! Grazie Mille!!!
Went here for a business dinner on a recommendation. Delicious food and great service. We had indicated "business dinner" on our reservation and I'm very happy they were able to accommodate us at a nice quiet table in the back area which enabled us to have a nice conversation among colleagues. Our server was also great about explaining the menu and letting us know what changes could be made for dietary restrictions. Will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service. This is what real Italian food should be!!
Our new favorite Italian restaurant. We drove 45 minutes just for dinner after experiencing a fantastic meal last month. It did not disappoint. Excellent bread, delicious meatballs, and crispy duck with fig ravioli was fantastic. Any excuse to go to Providence will bring me back to Pane e Vino!
We were there on a reservation. They placed us a long a wall of tables for 2. A very cramped area and they filled each table. The restaurant was not at capacity. The party seated next us would have knocked food of the bread plates on the table removing their coat, if there was bread on the table. We had the back side of the server “in our face” every time she came to service the table. They had one person working the valet stand on a rainy dreary night in an area where the majority of restaurants valet. I chose this restaurant because it is a go to for friends of ours and I am not certain I would go there again.
Met a friend for dinner. She ordered some fagiole bean appetizer and I had lobster fra diovolo with squid ink pasta. Montepulciano wine. Everything was perfect. When booking, I noted that it was a birthday dinner, but the occasion went unnoticed.
The food and service were excellent! It would be nice if tables were spaced a little farther apart, especially when there are loud people at the next table! Prices on specials were high but the specials were excellent. Overall, we had a lovely meal.
The only thing better than the food was the service.
When we decided to order off the prix fixe menu, our server alerted us that the portions are a bit smaller. Could have fooled us because we each brought half of our amazing entrees home.
Extremely good service, very good wine list,1/2 price wine on Monday nites, authentic Italian cuisine, would come back anytime!
This was our second visit to the restaurant and it was even better than we remembered. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried just about everything with our party of 10 but the most memorable was the rigatoni with the sausage. The service was outstanding. Heather, our waitress, was very knowledgeable and has some wonderful recommendations!!!! Would come back again and again when we are in town
My second time dining here and thoroughly enjoyed my gluten free meal. Having celiac disease it's difficult to find restaurants with such an extensive menu but Pane e Vino did not disappoint. The waitress was very attentive to my dietary needs and presented me with delicious warm gluten free rolls . I highly recommend this restaurant for it's food, wine, ambiance and attentive staff.
We had a great dinner here on Sunday evening. There were four in our party and we each had a different entree. The food was excellent, we each enjoyed our meals.
The staff was attentive and friendly and our waiter (Edward) clearly had knowledge of how the each meal was prepared. He also recommended several wines to pair with each meal. We were all very pleased with his selections.
I looked forward to coming back to Pan E Vino because I looked forward to one dish only - The Anatra (Confit Duck with Fig Walnut Ravioli). This dish is simply delicious !! I could eat this every time I go there & never get sick of it. Simply a great restaurant & the service was impeccable !!
Thank you for a very enjoyable Valentine’s Day dinner. My compliments to the chef & waitstaff. Bravo !! 👍🏻
Delicious food wonderful service, great for a special date or get together with friends
We went for Valentine's day and everything was wonderful.
There were a couple of issues that we encountered.
One, was the fact that our server didn't tell us about the specials for the evening. I only realized that there were some after hearing the server for the table next to ours, recite them.
Also, there was no salt shaker on the table (wanted it for the olive oil). That in itself was not a big deal, but when we asked the server for the salt, he returned several minutes later with a dish that had salt on it. He said they ran out of salt shakers. Really? Running out of salt shakers.
Other than that, it was a good overall experience.
We got the meatball appetizer with ricotta cheese. The meatballs were good and the sauce had a nice fresh taste. They were a little on the light side with the ricotta cheese topping. Wish there was more.
I had the pork chop and it was cooked perfectly. The brussel sprouts were nice and crunchy and the mashed sweet potato was also very good.
She had the veal with artichokes. I thought the veal was a little on the small side but never the less, tasted good.
I would definitely go back.
Great Italian cuisine, very well defined wine list, knowledgeable and helpful manager and waitress.Excellent value !
