Minor glitches concerning delays and slightly overcooked meat but very unusual for this venue and understandable due to the large crowds of people flocking to the recently expanded restaurant seating in RI restaurants. For us and our family it remains among our favorite dining venues.
Wonderful experience! food, service and seating were perfect. It was so wonderful to feel “normal.”
Went there for my first time and I'll be coming back! The food and wine were amazing!
Luigi was an awesome waiter and the food was OUYSTANDING! Best octopus I’ve ever had, veal chop was great, my sweetheart had the duck with ravioli. Definitely going back!!
The Lobster Ravioli was AMAZING, and the service was excellent too.
Mother’s Day, pretty busy during a pandemic so i will have to give it another shot I’m a pretty fair guy.
We had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner! As usual the food was outstanding! Though it was quite busy, our server was attentive and the courses were well timed. We dined outdoors, and though the traffic could occasionally be a bit noisy, it did not distract us from enjoying our meal and good company. We appreciated the heaters, which allowed us to be comfortable even as the temperature started to dip (we did dress for the weather). We had a great time! Thank you for a memorable meal!
This was Mother's Day so be aware this review is compensating for one of the busiest days of the year.
Food was amazing, great selection of wines as well. Everything is in-house food. Outstanding.
It was a little noisy as the place is not very large to begin with.
Finally, we did have to wait a little for our reservation but again, it was incredibly busy!
The food, drinks and atmosphere at Pane Vino is always spectacular. I was appreciative of the Covid-19 precautions they take and the plexi glass separators between the tables. Our server was wonderful. Engaging and friendly. The wine list is great and I am especially appreciative that Gavi wine is offered by the glass. It’s my favorite. My son had the chicken parm and it was amazing. My daughter had lobster ravioli and said it was the best she’s had. I loved the bolognase and my husband loved the linguini with clams. There were a ton of little necks in it. It was a wonderful Mother’s Day dinner and I will certainly return.
Excellent food experience was Great!
Definitely will go again.
Great Mother’s Day lunch. Fantastic food, great service.
Perfect food and drinks, excellent service and an amazing ambiance. Love Pane e Vino!
As party of 2, I spent $270 pre tax & tip, I should have felt the "wow" factor after leaving this restaurant. Instead I left with the feeling of anxiety and uptightness. The service from our waiter Luigi was not what I expected from a restaurant of this caliber. I voiced my disappointment to the server and manager and the server said if you don't like it you can reflect it in your tip. I paid my check leaving a tip based on the food, which I will say was well prepared and tasty, and my after dinner drink. Good as a take out restaurant not for dining in.
Have been to their Massachussetts restaurant Il Massimo many times and give that location 5 stars across the board. If you want a great dine out experience put Il Massimo Legacy place on your list of must try restaurants.
Anniversary dinner. Opted to eat outside because they said they had heaters. Our heater came 30 mins into our reservation. Calamari was good. Meatballs were great. The service was poor. Waiter didn’t notice our drinks were empty when dinner arrived. Steak was supposed to be medium well topped w/lobster. Came out rare and no lobster. Waiter should have corrected it or remove it from the check. He did get the lobster topping brought out, but it was too late to fix the steak. He just apologized when he cleared the untouched steak. I waited tables in college. We were trained to be more attentive to our tables and to fix mistakes. Desserts were good, but dessert drinks came after we finished desserts. Not a great experience at all.
Highly recommend the bread pudding!
They were extremely accommodating to us after we called and said we were going to be late. Food was outstanding. I am a tough critic of Italian food. Both my parents were born in Italy! Hands down the best around. Will be my new go to place when we come visit our son who attends providence college.
It’s our favorite place in all of providence!
Fabulous food and service, always a wonderful meal.
The food was excellent. This was the best lobster ravioli I have ever had. My husband's duck confit was excellent too. My only complaint would be that the service was a bit on the slower side.
Waited a long time and then got sat outside right next to a loud busy road at tables that were crooked and there were no heaters so it was freezing. Hostess was rude, but the waitress was very nice. The food was cold and just okay.
We opted to eat outside and our table was on the sidewalk. Sidewalk not straight so table was a little tipped, too many passerby's not wearing masks and too much street traffic with loud music playing contributed to a poor time. Had the caccio de pepe was just OK.
Always a great experience!
Awesome experience w/ excellent food!
The beef carpaccio is superb, and their duck confit is rivaled only by their sister-restaurant down the street, Massimo. It’s so good I rarely try something else!
There are an overwhelming number of restaurants to choose from on Federal Hill, but Pane e Vino ranks as one of the best. Menu is varied with enough choices for various palates and quality of food is excellent. Attentive wait staff and pleasant ambience make for a memorable evening!
great food and atmosphere. We were not rushed even though they were very busy. A great anniversary celebration.
There were four of us. Two are usually picky . We all agreed the food was outstanding and thus far the best restaurant on Atwells ave and that is saying a lot since they are all very good.,
As usual, the food is excellent. Fresh, beautiful, flavorful. The service is wonderful; the servers are very attentive. (All wearing masks, of course.) There are plexiglass dividers between tables so we felt very safe and it made it more cozy. Very relaxing and enjoyable evening.
escarole and beans appetizer is a MUST. super old school and delicious, I could eat it every day. had the linguini with white clam sauce this time...was fresh and rustic. love this place!
Fantastic experience!! We were a party of 8, 5 adults and three kids. We all very much enjoyed all of the food and drink....appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The cheese and meat board, rice balls, lasagna, lobster ravioli, carciofi chicken, lamb and pork chop, cheesecake, molten cake, caramel gelato. Not one item was not anything less than delicious!! The service was absolutely outstanding. Owen was our waiter and you could not ask for better service. Well timed, available when you needed him, and on point. Relaxed, beautiful atmosphere and easy to get to. This was our third time here and we can’t wait until our fourth!! Well, well done!!!
Amazing dining experience from appetizers to entrees (no room for dessert). Absolutely fresh, delicious and served hot. Staff was attentive and professional-we will be back!!
Waiter pleasant, Calamari was tender and delicious, Chicken marsala was also delicious.
As always, a wonderful experience. We hadn't been out since covid19 pandemic hit RI. So happy our first outing for our 25th anniversary was at Pane e Vino. We love this restaurant . It never disappoints.
Delicious dinner, great service. They have done a great job making you feel safe and the restaurant still looks very pretty..
Wonderful atmosphere and superb food and service. Highly recommended!
Can’t say enough about Pane e Vino, everything was outstanding! From the first glass of wine the last sip of espresso and everything in between. The food was delicious and our waitress was a sweetheart! We highly recommend it and will be back soon!
Luigi was great server
The very best there is, bar none!!!
