Pane e Vino Providence Ratings and Reviews
We were having a family reunion. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and did a wonderful job. Food was awesome. The only negative was that there was another large party next to us and at times, it was difficult to hear the conversation at our table. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the restaurant to others.
We had a very delicious dinner here at Pane e Vino. We had a very pleasant waiter who explained the several specials being offered that night. He was attentive without hovering. Everything was delicious from the olives and bread to our dessert. I would recommend to our friends.
We visited Pane e Vino for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. The gluten free menu is extensive, and the gf four cheese gnocchi was incredible! My husband ordered the duck confit ravioli, and raved about it. The wine list was nice, both in terms of their by the glass and bottle options.
Excellent experience! Our multi course meal was delicious. Our server Mike was a very accommodating server with a sincere
personality. His assistant was also excellent. The host/hostess and bartender greeted us upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. Even the valet was kind. He was very efficient and complemented my husband on his truck. The value of our meal and wine was outstanding.
Much more reasonable than the tourist traps that we are accustomed to in many Boston restaurants. Overall a wonderful dinner. It was our second visit and we plan to return again soon.
Outstanding service and food. The waiter made some great suggestions for us including the incredible imported mozzarella and fresh tomato appetizer. I had the rack of lamb which was absolutely delicious and my date had the roasted pork chop, also perfectly cooked and delightful.
Our entire party of six loved this place! Our first time visiting and we'll definitely be back. Our service was spot on - we had a friendly, attentive and knowledgeable server who checked on us frequently, but never rushed us. We were all extremely happy with our meals. I had one of the specials, the pumpkin ravioli, and it was outstanding. Perfectly portioned servings as we had skipped the appetizers. I had noted that we were celebrating a birthday that night and when we arrived, our table (ready and waiting for us) was specially decorated and desserts arrived with a candle and celebratory staff. We had a lovely table in one of the small rooms near the front of the restaurant and didn't have any issues with noise. Make your ressies far in advance. This place isn't easy to get into at the last minute.
This is our first trip to Providence and were looking for great Italian food in the Federal Hill area. We looked at numerous reviews and decided to try Pane e Vino. It was Columbus Day weekend so there was a street celebration going on as well. Such a great neighborhood vibe-it set the mood for our dinner. We were there on Sunday and opted for the prix fixe meal and what a great value. The menu itself looked amazing but I assumed the portions on the prix fixe would be smaller. Wrong! The table next to us ordered off the regular menu and the portions were similar! I enjoyed a Caesar salad which had the perfect amount of dressing, the eggplant Parmesan which was wonderful, and then tiramisu for dessert. The entire meal including the bread was delicious. The service could not have been any better. And I forgot to mention they had an extensive wine list! Our Italian wine was the perfect accompaniment to our meal. I am not a local but if I were I would be a regular. May have to go back before we leave Providence.
Wonderfully diverse menu combining traditional favorites with unique specialty items. All of our items were excellently prepared and beautifully plated. The wait staff was helpful and engaging; an excellent balance of attentiveness but without creating a sense of rush. The wine list is extensive with broad price points. Looking forward to returning.
We enjoyed a delicious Italian meal with our son. He was so pleased to be dining off campus and enjoyed his chicken Parmesan thoroughly. My husband raved about his arincini and also loved the chicken saltimboca. Our server was lovely and accommodating. She described all of the specials with great detail. My chicken with artichoke dish was exquisitely prepared along with potatoe cakes that I shared. My husband loved those too!! We all indulged in a homemade bread pudding and cappuccinos. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
Our dinner at Pane E Vino was fantastic from start to finish! The hostess quickly took us to our table and then walked me to where the bathrooms were located. Our waiter Brody, was great- very knowledgeable about the food and menu. He was helpful when we were ordering and very attentive! Brody's service was terrific! The drinks and the food were absolutely amazing! Our family got four very different meals and each of them was absolutely delicious as were our salads and appetizers. We highly recommend Pane E Vino and will definitely be back the next time we are in Providence.
