Pane e Vino continues to impress and satisfy. We had a delicious dinner and fabulous wine at reasonable prices. They also have an extensive array of gluten-free options which is very welcome for those with Celiac or gluten sensitivities. The calamari last night was possibly the best I have ever had.
Food was great, service was OUTSTANDING,only hiccup was that when we made the reservation we also called and requested a table on the backyard patio, were told no problem, but when we arrived we were told there were no available tables left on the patio. Disappointing.
Excellent meal, pleasant staff from valet to waitress. Fried stuffed zucchini blossoms were outstanding !
Took my girlfriend, Everything was awesome
Best lobster ravioli I've had! My wife loved the gluten free rolls and pasta as well.
The place seemed out of sorts had about 5 differing servers come to our table w orders for other tables during our 2 hr there. We asked for a refill of water and even though asked the waiter kept going to other tables or forgot our request until about 15 to 20 minutes later.
We sat outside and as I was talking to my wife I saw something scurry from under a table and go under another occupied table turned out to be a mouse or a rat. Finally the food came as I said about 1.5 hrs after we got there . I ordered a chicken parm the noodles were cold and the chicken was cold and as I progressed eating I got to a part where the chicken was raw. I flagged waiter and asked if I wanted another, no apology for grossly undercooked food. And after showing the piece of raw chicken did not act as if this phased him, must be a common occurrence He just agreed to comp the chicken from the bill. 1st and last time there since so many other good choices on the hill that appear to be better staffed w wait staff and cooks. Too bad had a lot of high hopes for this restaurant.
Patience with new waitress
My wife and I went to Pan e Vino for our anniversary. Hoping to have a quiet and relaxing evening, we went on Thursday night, early (5:30pm) seating and requested a table in the back.
We arrived and our to our very pleasant surprise, the staff had set out a beautiful table, as requested in the back, with an Anniversary card and rose petals. It certainly set the tone for the evening.
We had a very nice meal, starting with a martini, followed by appetizers and an entree.
Our waitress was admittedly new to the job and was very nice but was not very familiar with the menu and could have been a bit more observant/attentive. As the evening progress and the restaurant filled up she was quite busy attending to other guests and did not stop by to check on how we were doing and whether we would like anything else (eg, my empty wine glass).
All in all, it was a very nice evening and we'll surely be returning for the next 'special' occasion.
100% - Great experience and delicious food. You feel like you are having homemade Italian food.
Incredible experience! Delicious food and amazing service. We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be back next time we are in providence!
We took our daughter for dinner to celebrate her 21st birthday. Luigi was our waiter and he was awesome. A few of the waiters sang happy birthday to her and it was awesome. The food and service was day and the lemon cello shots were an added bonus.
The food and service were excellent. Not a single complaint
Excellent food and atmosphere.
The live music was so loud it was annoying and it was not what most would consider relaxing dining music, it ruined the atmosphere. While the food and service was good, the whole point of dining at 6:30 and paying thuds prices is to enjoy the company you are with and talk in a relaxing , enjoyable perhaps romantic atmosphere. Many diners left.
All our meals and appitisers were excellent! Service was spot on!
The food was good as usual. They are training a lot of waitstaff so service wasn't as good as it used to be. Hopefully it gets better as time goes on.
Excellent food and great service
Meal was very underwhelming. The restaurant was suggested by friends, and looking at the reviews, we were excited about eating here. My husband had the beef carpaccio to start, which was nothing to write home about. I had the octopus, which was OK…not much flavor…I have had much better elsewhere. We both thought the veal dishes would be great as there were so many on the menu. The menu lists the dishes as veal chops and we asked if it was scallopini (thin slice) and were told it was…the dishes came out as a veal chop with the bone, but pounded down. Mine was very tough and chewy (it was breaded and fried) and no sauce to speak of…just tomatoes and arugula on top. My husband had the saltimbocca and was disappointed as well. The wine list was also disappointing to us as only Italian wines were on the menu…our bottle of Pinot Noir was just so-so. Prices were high for the quality of the meal. Maybe we just didn’t order the right things as it was also “Restaurant Week”. It seemed as though the wait staff was falling over one another, but yet, we’re not efficient in doing their jobs.
Best restaurant on Atwells. The food, drinks and service is fantastic.
Was happy to introduce a friend to a wonderful overall experience.
Thank you !
Wonderful, authentic Italian food. Fresh and full of flavor.
The food was delicious, as was my drink. I tried the Lavender Lemonade and had Cacio e Pepe. Excellent. The restaurant is small and can be loud since the tables are close together. Definitely a good spot for a special occasion
We were sat almost on top of the table next to us. Seems like more tables were added into an already small area. Even the waiter could barely fit between the tables. No privacy at all for us, or the table beside us. Just a so-so experience.
Pane e vino was absolutely amazing. I would go back anytime
some of the best Italian food I have ever had. Pork chop was amazing! Austin, the manager was terrific.
Great service. Wonderful food. Can’t ask for more.
Food & service was amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The food is always wonderful at Pane e Vino as is the choice of wines. Service is always excellent. One of our favorite places for a special occasion!!
Family in town
Incredible food, service and atmosphere. We loved it!
Very good service, very good food, nice night. The menu is excellent and I look forward to eating here again!
Food decent although the fritto misto app was terrible…..tasted like old dirty grease. Worse part was noise level. By the time we left it was almost excruciating. We were in back smaller room….probably worst spot in restaurant. Service slow probably because it was so crowded
Service was excellent, friendly and professional. All food was great except my "medium rare" steak was a little too done. Would return again for another wonderful meal.
A great Italian place to go - great food and impeccable and knowledgeable service!
Both meals were delicious, the anatra duck confit on fig ravioli was astounding. Will go again.
We are here in Providence for the holiday weekend as we moved our daughter here from Wisconsin. Our server, Mike, was outstanding in his recommendations of both food and wine. Our food was authentic Italian fare, from the delicious mussels and polpo appetizers, to the wonderful scallops, gnocchi and swordfish entrees. Best Italian we’ve had in a long time! We’d definitely come back!
We live in LA but come to visit family a few times a year and this place was on our list of places to go. My husband and I came for our anniversary and loved it. Our waiter was amazing and the food was spectacular.
Excellent restaurant with great menu and food
