Very disappointing dining experience.  It began with the restaurant out of both wines by the glass we chose.  We found alternatives, but it would have been nice for them to offer an alternative of the same type of wine even if it meant opening a "by the bottle" wine.  We tried the grandma meatball appetizer and ordered braised lamb and lamb ragu as our mains. The appetizer was good, but not as described on the menu.  Menu said "served in a crunchy parmesan waffle", but it was 3 small/medium meatballs with parmesan cracker pcs on top of each.  The meatballs were served lukewarm, not hot.  The lamb ragu paccheri main was lacking in lamb and the pasta was undercooked and hard.  The braised lamb had more lamb in the dish, but the lamb was very poorly trimmed and full of fat.  About 1/4 of the lamb pcs were pieces of fat.  The atmosphere of the restaurant was modern, but the music they played was a cross between yacht rock and reggae - didn't really help give the authentic Italian vibe they describe their restaurant as having.  Bottom line - their description of the food & atmosphere are much more appealing than the actual experience and food they served.  When you tout your homemade pasta as a major selling point, you should know how to cook it so it tastes at least as good as boxed pasta from the market.

Pane and Pasta’s weekend brunch is wonderful. So civilized. No queuing for food with other guests. Ordering all-you-can-eat a la carte is the best! Service, as usual, was excellent.

The outside dining was lovely. When we arrived for our reservation there were few tables occupied. We received immediate service of water and drinks. We ordered a very good Bruchetta and other bread. Within 20 mins the restaurant basically filled every table. They were featuring a local musical legend, "Barefoot Man" that was to perform for 3 hours. Perhaps this is why it filled so quickly. There were very few wait staff, but thankfully they had support staff. I have no idea how the kitchen would serve this many guests within a reasonable amount of time. After receiving our appetizer, we were never approached by a wait staff person to take our dinner order. We waited an hour. We then asked for our bill and the waiter finally came by and told us there was no charge for our drinks and app. We offered to pay but he said it was "on him" for such poor service. We left. They frankly just could never have served that many people with the few staff they had. Unfortunately we didn't get to experience the food, it looked like a great menu.

We were craving Italian and it was perfect. Authentic and delicious! Paired with a very nice bottle of wine it was a lovely evening outside under the stars.

Delicious food! We had the fettuccine wheel and delicious wine. There is a harp player that serenades you at your table. Felt like we were back in Italy! Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
