Pan di Bacco Ratings and Reviews
This was a small, and very attractive restaurant. The help was friendly and the food was delicious. I had the pasta with mixed mushrooms and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a full bar as well as a selection of wines. The only glitch was that they forgot to serve our Caesar salad and attempted to do so after they brought our entrees. We rejected it at that point and of course we were not billed for it. As it turns out, my pasta was quite satisfying so I saved some money and some calories as well. I think we will return here later this week, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Excellent woodfired pizza, pasta dishes were well done both in flavor and texture (perfectly al dente!) Could not beat the 2 for one cocktail special that night. Service a little stunted by confused, new or overwhelmed waiter, but managers and bus people stepped in enough to keep the flow of food and drinks going. Language was not an issue, most of the staff spoke perfect English. Don't let the service keep you away....very good Italian food on par with what we find in Chicago!
Very good food at reasonable prices, nice decor and friendly service. They start you off with a nice selection of breads with three dipping sauces. The Caesar salad was plenty large for two to split. The rigatoni with chicken was the special of the night, and the fettuccine with shrimp was fantastic. Complimentary chocolate liqueur finished off the meal. The desserts looked tempting, but we were stuffed. Great place for dinner.
Overall the place was between a good and very good. My first issue was with the special I ordered, a Gnocchi with clams which had very little taste. The second issue was towards the end, the waiter took a while to get us our check. He did try to make up for it by giving us a special after dinner liquor.
I was sick when we had our reservations and very saddened by this. We have been meaning to go to Pan di Bacco for years. My husband ordered a pizza and thought it was very good, would like a few more topping but the crust was great. I ordered the gnocchi with mushrooms and received the wrong dish. By the time the waiter brought the correct one I was done eating and ready to leave. The waiter sensed this and boxed up my meal. I ate it the next morning for breakfast and even the next day the gnocchi was soft and tender, a huge plus! Will definitely go back when I am feeling better!
Was a very pleasant surprise in Downtown Cabo. We decided to try Italian food because we had a 6 yeard old traveling with us, but once the food arrived we were super impressed. The wood fired oven pizza was incredible with a nice thin crust and incredible topping options. We also had a salad that was super fresh, and one of us had the gnocchi that was also great. Handmade pasta and pizza dough are where things start, and incredible sauces and flavors sealed the deal!
Love the menu! Fresh pasta most of which can be prepared gluten free. Pizzas are for sharing and gluten fee was excellent. Chilean and Argentine wine selections and a lovely chocolate aperitif on the house. Comfortable, cozy and friendly seating and gracious waitstaff. Must try!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. The decor is somewhat contemporary which you don't see much of in Cabo - a nice design. The service is quite friendly, particularly Eduardo. They bring a tray of several different kinds of breads to your table which were fantastic. We shared a Caesar salad which was very good and pretty large. I had the pasta with shrimp which was one of the best pasta dishes I may have ever had! For dessert, we shared the apple pie with ice cream which was a nice ending to the meal. We will definitely go back next time we're in Cabo.
The food & Service were excellent. We had bruschetta (which wasn't the best we've had here in Cabo but it was good), we shared spaghetti w/meatballs & a margarita pizza with sausage & both were excellent. Now on to the highlight of our dinner.......we had the Nutella pizza for dessert & it was awesome (it's the same size as their regular pizza but it was so good, we couldn't stop till it was gone).
Great addition to Cabo! Food was really good and place is cute and looks like it belongs in Napa or Santa Barbara. Armondo provided excellent service and all 6 of us really enjoyed our meals. We are in Cabo quite often and will definitely add it to our must go list for dinners!
