Great as usual
Wonderful service and amazing food. And the cocktails! Innovative and so well done. This will be a highlight of our New York trip
This is my second time and I will definitely go back. I really liked the ability to order small plates to share. The Guacamole and taco sampler were great for the 4 of us to share and we each had main dishes, all a variety of thnigs, from shrimp to beef to fish and scallops. The dessert of churros was light and worth every bite.
Terrible quality, small portions, overpriced. Never again.
Nice restaurant, with good food and friendly service. Their desserts are awesome too!
Great place for date night. Food was very good and delicious. I had the grilled octopus-BUTTER! Love their hibiscus inspired drinks.
Wonderful margarita. Great guacamole. Delicious tacos.
Plus tres Leche cake.
Definitely not hi-end Mexican as advertised, rather your local Mexican casual spot in terms of service and food. Way overpriced for what it is and the service provided. I will not return or recommend this place.
Very good marguarita, modern Mexican cuisine.
Beautiful space but a little bit noisy.
Decent food but not amazing. Fine for a quick lunch.
Everything was great except the service. Although I had a reservation for a party of 4 for my hubby’s bday, we waited 50 mins to get our table for dinner. We even waited at the bar for almost 15 mins before they took our drink order but they forgot to serve our guacamole. I think they need more bar tenders and servers. And a 50 min wait is unacceptable especially when I had a reservation for a bday dinner.
Had a wonderful celebratory lunch.
Our favorite Mexican restaurant anywhere. Don’t think traditional Mexican/it’s unique Mexican. The dishes are delicious with wonderful spices. Great!!
Went for a friendly business lunch. Food, service and ambiance was so good. This was my second visit and it again felt special and unique. It quickly got crowded after 12:30pm. But that did not distract from the attentiveness of the wait staff. I keep this place as the go-to for somewhat fancy lunches. I haven't had the pleasure of having dinner here yet, but looking forward to it.
Wow, ausgezeichneter Service! Tolles Essen! Gerne wieder:-))
I have dined at Pampano many times in a variety of circumstances: business dinners, celebrations, getting together with friends among them. It suits for all of those occasions. The food is creative and always excellent. Service also has always been outstanding. This particular time my friend and I had an early dinner reservation (5:00 PM) the night after Thanksgiving, so the dining room was not full at that time, I gave a quiet rating. Normally I would have said moderate. Great experiences over a number of years!
Pompano delivers an authentic Mexican cuisine with amazing service and presentation.
One of my favorite places to go for dinner. Great food and excellent service.
One of the best Mexican meals in NYC
Perfect place for me to have chosen to take my 2 daughters and their boyfriends to celebrate my birthday. At Xmas time we are all going to San Miguel De Allende and Mexico City and this certainly put us in the mood. A special shout out to our attentive and great waiter!
Again I brought new friends to Pampano. This time for a birthday celebration. I’m never disappointed! The food was outstanding, very fresh and delicious, the service pleasant and polite. Another successful trip to New York City
Best margarita I ever had
Thank you for making my birthday so special!
Visited with a couple of colleagues during a trip to NYC. We sat outside on the roof terrace which was lovely in mid October.
We had a good time, our waiter was attentive but not overly so and the food was great with good opportunities for sharing.
Would not hesitate to return if back in Midtown area.
This was our first time, met relatives and friends from out of the country. The menu was very creative although the portions we a little small, food was full of flavor. Service was excellent and the staff very accomadating. Definetely will return to this townhouse restuarant!
Came her for dinner on a Saturday night. First impression was that the place looks like it belongs in a resort somewhere. You can almost forget you are in New York City. We ordered some drinks and guacamole first. The drinks were kind of expensive (but it is NYC so what do you expect) and the guac was good, however we ordered it "spicy" and it hardly had any spice at all.
My fiance and I are both vegetarian so the reason I chose this place was because I noticed their vegetarian menu. It is incredibly hard to find a Mexican restaurant that is a little more on the fancy side. I got the black bean soup and she got the enchiladas. The portions were kind of small but they both tasted amazing. The black bean soup had some of the BEST plantains I have ever tasted in them. We left full, but not stuffed so it ended up being a perfect amount of food (no dessert but they sounded good).
Our waiter was fantastic too, he was very accommodating to us and extremely polite when he would come to our table and we would be talking to each other.
Food was amazing
It was a beautiful evening on the outdoor terrace. The staff was super accomomodating.
The salmón was not good
Wonderful creative food.. The service is professional and discreet. When one thinks "Mexican" this is not the classic menu.. It is different w/o being overboard. The style holds the essence of Mexican food with just enough update to be different.
Service is wonderful. The Wait Staff watches and is there to make sure all is taken care of.
A great place to bring Business appointments as well as friends for a special meal .
We hadn’t been to Pampano for dinner in years but were happy to find the same excellent service, pretty/airy setting and delicious food as we had last time. The restaurant was busy but staff was attentive and food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. The striped bass and scallops were standouts to us. Churros were good too.
wonderful place, super food, super service - loved every aspect of it!
Were in New York frim India for a short holiday and to celebrate my wife’s birthday. This restaurant has Excellent food , good atmosphere courtesy staff, will definitely go on my next visit to NY
Our server was great, knew every dish, and was able to have a Tamarindo Margarita made for us, divine. Try the guac app and the ceviche sampler, the best and fresh. We had the grilled octopus entree which was fantastic, and perfectly grilled, not rubbery.
I absolutely loved the food, it was very well prepared and presented, so exquisite and tasty! The atmosphere was very nice, quiet and pleasant. Definitely my new favorite place in midtown east.:)
Calling this a Mexican Restaurant is a somewhat of a disservice to the cuisine. The food was more heavily influenced by a Spanish/Mediterranean twist. If I wanted upscale Mexican food I might have been disappointed. Also, contradicting my thoughts, The guacamole was delicious.
Great food and atmosphere. Wonderful ceviche and unique spin
Fresh flavor combinations, deceptively simple yet sophisticated.
Nice Restaurant, good food and great ambiance. Outdoor seating is especially nice and Romantic. One thing to remember is that Happy Hour is not applicable outdoor. Good experience and will go again if situation requires.
Excellent, elevated Mexican food. Daily specials are very inventive.
