This sophisticated, tropical restaurant provides dynamic seafood from the coasts of Mexico. It was born out of a partnership between Chef Richard Sandoval and Maestro Placido Domingo.View Private Dining Details
We love Pampano! The food is wonderful. Great flavors without being overpowering and very well prepared. And while the food is first rate, the attentive service is spectacular.
Pampano is a very good restaurant with great service. The food and service are consistent time and time again. Next, if you like ceviche, look no further. The ceviche offerings are always fresh and extremely tasty. Finally, Pampano has a good wine list and they make great cocktails.
This was my third time eating at Pampano. The food is delicious, I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. I wish the restaurant was a little more accessible. Everything involves stairs, even the first floor dining room. (Which was not in use at our last visit).
This was my second time dining there. A very nice atmosphere, service was very good, and my dinner was quite tasty. I will be going back.
Excellent options for seafood and sharing. Great service. Found the atmosphere a little formal, but overall a lovely restaurant and tasty food.
The most amazing staff, food, and service. We enjoyed every bite of our meal and dessert was amazing...corn cake! Oh, and my glass of wine was delicious.
Nice, good food, but loud.
Food was amazing as always! Love their guacamole and chips...yumm! I brought my manager here years ago for a team lunch and it has become our favourite place whenever we get together for lunch. Hibiscus margarita is a MUST! Returning on April 10 for lunch with friends...again!
Pampano; creative and delicious Mexican cuisine . Totally out of the ordinary. The food is not what one expects when one says "Mexican". Gourmet truly is the key word that comes to mind. i have yet to eat here that the meal has not superseded expectations.
Ceviche varieties , chips that are crisp ; planatos that are sweet and perfectly fried. Just everything.
The main salon upstairs is white and bright; even on a cold winter day, it is like being in the tropics. make room for desert. So delicious. Every time we eat here.. we wonder why we don't come back more often.
My boss asked for a reservation at a Mexican restaurant while in New York for a week long meeting, and what a great find!! Service was prompt, and the food was exquisite - each of us had a different fish dish and the preparation and presentation were amazing. Perfectly cooked, excellent flavors - we will definitely be back next year!!
great place, great food - too bad it was so cold or we would have sat outside on the terrace
a beautiful and delicious lunch with a friend and colleague I had not seen in over 25 years so it was perfect for a special occasion.
MY FRIENDS AND I GOT TOGETHER FOR A FUN EVENING AND WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR MEAL. THE WAITER MADE SUGGESTIONS FOR DESSERT WHICH WERE PERFECT. BETS CHURROS I'VE HAD...PAELLA WAS WONDERFUL. ALL AROUND A GREAT EVENING
Excellent service- noon was a great time for a business lunch (1230-1pm seemed to get super busy)
Ambiance is upscale but fun/chic and not stuff at all
Food was excellent - lots of choices and very clean eating
Good well light spot and well taken care of. Reasonable business lunch prices.
Very nice setting. Lots of choices. Food delicious. I had the steak tacos. The staff very attentive. Will definitely return.
Food and drinks were delicious. The room was a little loud and we were seated next to a patio door which made it very cold. We were upstairs in a wide open room. Downstairs looked cozier but a private event was going on.
Always teriffic. I go to Pampano a few times a year, love it every time.
Great food, service an overall great experience!
This is a fun lively place but not too loud that you are overwhelmed by your neighbors.
It was so pleasant to be in their large, open room that was quiet without being church-like. Attentive service that did not dawdle. My wife loved her paella and I had a marvelous filet. Dessert was the best lime sorbet I can recall having. Excellent house cocktails and very good wine selection. All in all, we were very pleased and will make a point of returning.
Very nice meal
Food was excellent and margaritas super.
Great food on Valentine's day, special menu, excellent Don Julio tequila flight enough for two. Very pleasant atmosphere and attentive staff. Will come back!
Excellent food, expect to spend a good amount of money. Special occasion :)
I’ve been coming to Pampano for many years but have never reviewed the restaurant. Hopefully the Chef will read this. The food is great. Tasty. Well executed. But it is getting boring. The menu hasn’t changed significantly in a long long time. The service is friendly but clumsy. For example, we were seated but nobody came to our table a at least 10 minutes. The wine list was omitted. Utensils from the previous course were left on the table. Steak knives only appeared after the meat arrived. Glasses were left I filled. A wine chiller appeared after half the bottle was gone. And the list goes on and on. For a restaurant trying to be more than a taco joint, this restaurant needs attention and the chef appears asleep at the wheel.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place . I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly, drinks were great and affordable."
excellent food and service, most seating and rest rooms are on the second floor. Will need to walk up about 20 plus steps to get there. Some of friends has knee problem may have problem to climb up these steps
Very festive and bright atmosphere..... will definitely return!
Lovely restaurant ..
Lovely food, lovely service. Overall a relaxed place for conversation with a good friend.
Very good nouvelle Mexican fare and the staff is friendly
Delghtful, delicious but expensive. That's it, take it or leave it.
We went there for Restaurant Week and as usual the food was great. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very packed so that we did not get to sit in the pretty dining room upstairs but in the much cozier back on the ground floor. A lot less picturesque but the same good food and a lot more quiet. Good for conversation. - We also had to wait a little longer than usual but the service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely go again, and recommend to others.
Bravissimo! Fantastic evening with friends. Great service, terrific drinks, wonderful food, and an extra dessert offered to us just because! Can't wait to return.
Everything we tried was authentic, delicious and special.
Can’t wait to return
I love this restaurant - great food, service and an inviting atmosphere.
Food was excellent, service was great. The restaurant was very cold. It was a particularly cold day in NYC, and it was just as cold inside. We were there for almost 3 hours and had to sit with our coats and hats on. The manager was kind enough to check on us, but regardless it was really cold in there.
We had our new year dinner at Pampano. There is a parking garage just across the street which was very convenient as the temperatures that night were really cold. We had a very good time, the staff was friendly, there was a 4 course pre-set menu, with some options to choose from. The food was very good, the salad was great as well as the ribs. The huitlacoche risotto was a bit overcooked. Cayos de hacha (scallops) were a favorite for my wife. Desert were just OK (3-milks cake or chocolate musse). A mariachi band played for about 90 minutes (with some recess), until midnight, and that was fantastic. A glass of sparkling wine was included in the price. At $110 per person, the price was a bit high in my opinion ($90-$95 would have been fair).
