The food was good but I would say way too expensive for the type of food served. Guacamole for $18, paella for $38. We were party of 4, all agreed that we liked the food we ordered, but the price.

Highly attentive service combined with fresh tasty, nicely presented food, made for a great value lunch (choose from 3 course set lunch menu). Upstairs space is very bright and airy and on this lunchtime, was also very quiet.

Fantastic meal. Renaldo, our waiter, was excellent and provided great advice on all matters asked. His recommendations on drinks — margarita Pampano and mescal infused variations — were spot on. On a date night, the two of us split pizza-style corn meal with wild mushrooms and cheese, black bean soup, shrimp cerveche, filet mini tacos, and house risotto with corn and Manchego cheese. Too much food to have dessert, although the options were great.

The prefixed lunch dished should also be prepared at the moment. The ceviche looked overcook. I also requested to put something on the side but they completely forgot.

excellent upscale Mexican food, not the typical burrito and taco place. Great ceviche and wonderful sauces used in cooking.

Great food, great atmosphere. Able to hear a conversation. I love this chef and I'm a fan of all his restaurants in NYC!!!! This one is much quieter than the others. It's a great find in Midtown.

Hidden next to McCormick & Schmick's, this hidden gem is a great find. From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, you are greeted with a smile. Great service throughout the meal, and the food was outstanding. Ambiance, noise level, decor, all perfect.

I love the feel of this place. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The Paella was amazing and the portions were large. We loved the appetizers . Service was well-timed and friendly, dinks were excellent.

Had a girlfriends brunch at Pampano. The food and drinks were amazing. Reynaldo our server was very attentive. We sat on the upstairs patio, it was a beautiful day. We will definitely be going back. The peach mango sangria was delicious.

Pampano is a great find @ 49th and Lexington. We sat outdoors on the 2nd floor patio for a lovely evening. Heidi the hostess and Claudia our server were professional, gracious, friendly and attentive. Food was outstanding (the sopas are perfect as well); the margaritas (de oro, especially) made with care. We always think of Pampano when seeking authentic Mexican food in Manhattan!

The food was interesting, not exactly Mexican. But if this is what is called up-scale then so be it.

However, the coat check lady gave away my expensive umbrella to another customer which left a sour taste in our mouths after an otherwise pleasant evening.

Smoked swordfish appetizer is out of this word. Had black cod which was cooked to perfection and delicious. Loved eating on the outside terrace (though that option will be short-lived with cooler weather approaching. Definitely recommend!

Nice restaurant, Mexican dishes that are not standard, and that canning be found in most places. But, definitely not a "top 10 Mexican" as stated in Zagat.

The MARISCADA (shrimp / calamari / bay scallops / cilantro rice / achiote-coconut sauce / pineapple) was just amazing. I love calamari so I took a chance on this entree but this is so much more than just calamari with other stuff! It's just the perfect blend of tastes, slightly spicey but partially sweet. I would come back to Pampano just to have this dish again. Plus it's filling without being overly so.

Pampano is a beautiful restaurant that takes you away with its authentic atmosphere. There's a lovely outside veranda area as well. Guacamole- we ordered it medium with extra cilantro- was absolutely delicious. Food is extremely good and artfully presented. Highly recommended.

The food was terrible. The gazpacho tasteless, as was the marinated chicken. The ceviche was probably the best item along with sorbet. The salsa was unsalted tomatoes that accompanied a tasteless chicken. Better enchiladas are available in food trucks at way lower prices. The guacamole was mashed avocado. So all in all a 100$ disastrous lunch.

Was disappointed in the guacamole, was not fresh to order as well as no tomatoes only onions, avocado and a very small portion for the price. Aside from that the food is delicious, the corn soup, will be back for that, and the grilled pineapple mojito.
