One of my favorite places to go for dinner. Great food and excellent service.
One of the best Mexican meals in NYC
Perfect place for me to have chosen to take my 2 daughters and their boyfriends to celebrate my birthday. At Xmas time we are all going to San Miguel De Allende and Mexico City and this certainly put us in the mood. A special shout out to our attentive and great waiter!
Again I brought new friends to Pampano. This time for a birthday celebration. I’m never disappointed! The food was outstanding, very fresh and delicious, the service pleasant and polite. Another successful trip to New York City
Best margarita I ever had
Thank you for making my birthday so special!
Visited with a couple of colleagues during a trip to NYC. We sat outside on the roof terrace which was lovely in mid October.
We had a good time, our waiter was attentive but not overly so and the food was great with good opportunities for sharing.
Would not hesitate to return if back in Midtown area.
This was our first time, met relatives and friends from out of the country. The menu was very creative although the portions we a little small, food was full of flavor. Service was excellent and the staff very accomadating. Definetely will return to this townhouse restuarant!
Came her for dinner on a Saturday night. First impression was that the place looks like it belongs in a resort somewhere. You can almost forget you are in New York City. We ordered some drinks and guacamole first. The drinks were kind of expensive (but it is NYC so what do you expect) and the guac was good, however we ordered it "spicy" and it hardly had any spice at all.
My fiance and I are both vegetarian so the reason I chose this place was because I noticed their vegetarian menu. It is incredibly hard to find a Mexican restaurant that is a little more on the fancy side. I got the black bean soup and she got the enchiladas. The portions were kind of small but they both tasted amazing. The black bean soup had some of the BEST plantains I have ever tasted in them. We left full, but not stuffed so it ended up being a perfect amount of food (no dessert but they sounded good).
Our waiter was fantastic too, he was very accommodating to us and extremely polite when he would come to our table and we would be talking to each other.
Food was amazing
It was a beautiful evening on the outdoor terrace. The staff was super accomomodating.
The salmón was not good
Wonderful creative food.. The service is professional and discreet. When one thinks "Mexican" this is not the classic menu.. It is different w/o being overboard. The style holds the essence of Mexican food with just enough update to be different.
Service is wonderful. The Wait Staff watches and is there to make sure all is taken care of.
A great place to bring Business appointments as well as friends for a special meal .
We hadn’t been to Pampano for dinner in years but were happy to find the same excellent service, pretty/airy setting and delicious food as we had last time. The restaurant was busy but staff was attentive and food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. The striped bass and scallops were standouts to us. Churros were good too.
wonderful place, super food, super service - loved every aspect of it!
Were in New York frim India for a short holiday and to celebrate my wife’s birthday. This restaurant has Excellent food , good atmosphere courtesy staff, will definitely go on my next visit to NY
Our server was great, knew every dish, and was able to have a Tamarindo Margarita made for us, divine. Try the guac app and the ceviche sampler, the best and fresh. We had the grilled octopus entree which was fantastic, and perfectly grilled, not rubbery.
I absolutely loved the food, it was very well prepared and presented, so exquisite and tasty! The atmosphere was very nice, quiet and pleasant. Definitely my new favorite place in midtown east.:)
Calling this a Mexican Restaurant is a somewhat of a disservice to the cuisine. The food was more heavily influenced by a Spanish/Mediterranean twist. If I wanted upscale Mexican food I might have been disappointed. Also, contradicting my thoughts, The guacamole was delicious.
Great food and atmosphere. Wonderful ceviche and unique spin
Fresh flavor combinations, deceptively simple yet sophisticated.
Nice Restaurant, good food and great ambiance. Outdoor seating is especially nice and Romantic. One thing to remember is that Happy Hour is not applicable outdoor. Good experience and will go again if situation requires.
Excellent, elevated Mexican food. Daily specials are very inventive.
I ate at this restaurant with my husband and in-laws. Upon entering we immediately noticed the ambience. The restaurant is quite with spacious seating and beautiful decor. Our waiter was funny and attentive. Best of all, the food fantastic (flavorful, fresh, smaller portions). Everyone enjoyed their meal.
Better than average Mexican food but a little pricey.
Flavours are always fresh and the food is super healthy! Except when combined with their killer cocktails! Can’t go wrong
Just good food in a nice, attractive space. Music may have been a bit loud. Guacamole was delicious and food was terrific and nicely presented.
Excellent higher-end Mexican food, delicious margaritas, great bar and service. Highly recommend.
This was my fourth time dining at Pampano NY. I've been there for Saturday Brunch, with a large group; for lunch with a small group; and twice for dinner with friends. The food; the environment; and the service are excellent!! Each time I dine at Pampano, I am awed by the unusual and creative combination of ingredients, in dishes they offer. My only regret about Pampano NY is that they are not open on Sundays.
This restaurant was very close to our hotel so we decided to check it out for dinner one night. SO glad we did. The food was delicious and the service was beyond amazing. Our server was so fun and brought us each a shot of tequila after we finished eating. My favorite meal in NYC by far. The octopus and ceviche were out of this world. Definitely go and check it out. Perfect for a casual or fancy dinner. A romantic date or dinner with a group of friends.
Food was great, ambiance was gorgeous, prices were high (too high, but not drastically). Waiter was a jerk. He almost ruined the experience but we were able to ignore him and enjoy ourselves anyway. All of the other waitstaff was very nice.
An excellent night out Lovely airy restaurant with attentive staff and really interesting and tasty food.
The food is always delicious at Pampano. They also have a creative selection of cocktails and/or wine by the glass or bottle to choose from. Last but certainly not least, I’ve taken co-workers, family and friends to Pampano many times over the last four years and the service is always excellent!
Every dish was great, especially the fish was great cooked.
First time there, had guacamole, some ceviche, the paella and a pitcher of red sangria; all were terrific
Pampano, overall, is wonderful. Great food - have been going for at least 10 years and the quality and preparation is always superb. The waitstaff is generally above par. The noise is hit or miss - sometimes is can be a bit louder than I'd prefer - but nothing that would detract me from visiting.
My complaint: do better on the A/C. Every time I have visited during the summer the heat inside is stifling. I first mentioned it several years ago, and was told they were "working on it." However, forget slightly uncomfortable - I continue to leave there almost happy to step into the pea-soup like weather outside.
Would go regularly if we lived in NYC.
Great margaritas. Really delicious fresh guacamole and chips. The entrees were delicious, very well seasoned although I felt they were a little on the small side. Our group had the seafood paella, the fillet mignon, stripped bass and a scallop entree.
Then we had the tres leches cake for dessert which was yummy.
Overall a lovely meal.
Outstanding “haute cuisine” Mexican smack dab in the middle of Midtown Manhattan. Our second visit in two weeks was just as delightful as the first time we tried this restaurant. Highly recommended!
