The service, food and staff were spectacular. The best meal I’ve ever had.
Food was decent went for valentines day and would never go back for a special occasion to pay 3 times the price. Most of the steak meats I found to be to rare for my liking.
We really enjoyed Pampa at the West End location. The food was great and it came very fast. The salad bar had a lot of choices. The service could not have been better.
Love the place, first time at the west end location. feels smaller then the downtown, but so much parking. I loved it, my girlfriend said it was teh best service she ever had anywhere.
Going to nit pick, as some might not like it. we had a meat server, I liked how he was but some might not. he was more talkative on the meat and would make a great server over, a meat ummmm, passer??
some might not like his positivity I guess. but we loved it.
The server was great also, new location, and she and other did not know much on how to deal with the champagne, I dont drink it so it could have been served in a mug, lol. something on the glasses where not the right ones?? again, not a drinker. server handled it all very well and positive. it is really hard to say anything bad other then cost. it is a lot of money but you get so much. of course I would like it at $10 over $60 a head, lol keep up teh great work there. I hope it continues to grow.
They appeared to have a hard time cooking the beef medium well and most of the pieces were quite fatty. Had the beef not left blood puddles on my plate and been less fatty I would consider going again. The staff were lovely though and did make an effort to cook the meat more but it went from mooing to burnt.
We really enjoyed our visit. The servers were wonderful and it was very different to have them come to our table with the grilled meats to pick from. Many delicious choices in the salad bar too.
Good service with staff really on top of it with table service.
We had a great time. The food was good and the service was excellent.
Personally, not a fan of the chicken or Pork, but the steakS AND BEEF DISHES was OUTSTANDING !!
Wonderful place and very knowledgeable service. food was great but the wine was way overpriced!
I would definitely come back for the food.
My boyfriend and I had our first night out together since our son was born and we decided to check out the new Pampa location in the west end. We were definitely not disappointed! We were escorted to our table by the manager, who was very kind and took time out of his busy day to chat with us and would stop by the table later on in the meal to check up on us. Our server was amazing as well! She stated she had only worked there for a couple weeks, but her knowledge of the menu and such was of somebody who had worked there for a lot longer! The food was well done we enjoyed everything we tried. The men and women who came around with the meat were kind and got to chatting with us too, also made sure that if there was something specific we needed to let them know.
I have to say that personally I haven’t had that amazing service and restaurant experience in Edmonton for many years! Definitely will be coming back to this location for our next rare date night!
Thank you everyone at Pampa for a great night out! We really appreciate it!
Excellent experience, even with two small kids! The Grill Masters were all very attentive and we were well taken care of :)
Disappointing meal for a significant amount of money!
We were told we would have a selection of 14 cuts of meat. At best we had 8. Multiple repeats of 2 kinds of chicken and 2 kinds of sausage. Limited selection of beef, lamb and pork.
Selection of hot sides to accompany meal was very limited and mediocre, at best - not hot and bland. Salad bar not that impressive, either.
We went to Pampa for the first time because we had won a gift card and had never been before. While we did have a nice dinner, we likely won’t go back. We were advised to pace ourselves as there were 14 different meats that would make their way around. We were only served 9 (I know that is still a lot, but when we wanted to try the different items, it was like it was impossible because the same meat kept coming back) The salad bar is huge, but there really isn’t anything outstanding there. It was basic. We did however really like the unique salad dressings - if you go, try the Passion Fruit dressing - it was fantastic! We each had two drinks, dinner, and then we split one dessert (the passion fruit mousse was incredible!!) and our bill was almost $200. I really didn’t get the value out of it because I’m a fairly small person and just can’t eat so much all at once. If you are a big eater, it would be worth it for you. I basically spent $55 to eat half a plate of food. I would even like it if they had a “lighter fare” option where you can select 2-4 different meats to try and then you pay a little less. Our server was incredible which made the dining experience enjoyable so that was definitely a plus! All in all, was it good? Yes. Would I tell people they HAVE to go? No. It’s just far too expensive.
Way better than the downtown one, staffs super caring and the manager is amazing and it shows how much he loves his job, made me so happy !
Absolutely, servers are great and manager comes by your table to ensure all is well.
(only issue is when met is cut with the grain, makes it tougher)
Disappointing, poor service from the waitress to the food. The other restaurants have meat service come out quickly, this restaurant did not. We didnt even get all of the selections.
Wont be back
Allway a good show, love the variety
Maybe for lunch, but dinner is way overpriced! $40 for the salad bar!!!! That’s way too much.
highly recommend this restaurant, we truly enjoyed the sevice and food
Very good. Food was tasty, at first the restaurant was empty and felt a little cold, industrial and mechanical. With more people it warmed up and seemed less hollow. The service was great throughout. A bit overpriced for value of food in my opinion but it is very good 4/5, the service is very good 4.5/5 and the ambience is pretty good 3.5/5. No complaints a solid 4 star restaurant.
Everything was great. The manager is a great host. Talking to everyone. To make sure everyone is having a great time. Waitress i had was the best. Give her a raise. Salad bar was the best in the city. Other than your downtown location. The meat was awesome. Dessert was great. The shot ( i think it was 43). The only bad thing was that i live about three blocks away. Lol. I will be back again and again.
We came here at lunch to celebrate our anniversary. We really enjoyed our time together. The food was amazing and the staff was really knowledgeable about the meats. Love the ambience of the restaurant as well. It’s really worth the price.
We went as a big group to eat and we weren’t served the food quick enough, we were a big table and they brought one at a time that wasn’t enough to fill anyone and by the time we would have to wait for the second round, everyone got full. I prefer chicken and when we went all they had for chicken were drumsticks, no breast or thighs or anything else boneless, I asked for well done meat to eat instead and had to wait 20+ minutes to get some. We paid almost $500 and left very disappointed.
Fantastic service, and great ambience a bit pricy but would come again for special occasion.
Our server was amazing. She joked with us, took our family picture, kept our glasses full and helped to make this a great night. The food was wonderful especially the maple ham. The price was a little over the top, but it was a once a year thing for us.
It was my first time there. I am legally blind and walk with assistance. The staff was great helping me get around to all the good "stuff". Servers were great and the food was as well.
Nice to try all the different kinds of skewered meats. The vegetable/salad/soup bar was really imaginative and tasty. Very clean and that's super important. I have to say I really had fun and so did the rest of my party. I will definitely go back! I do not know the price as I did not pay that night but no one fainted when the bill arrived so I am sure it was okay!
Great service, lots of variety of cuts and flavours. Salad bar had a plethora of options (although setup was a little backwards in our view), understanding that the salad bar is not why one goes to Pampa’s! All I will say is the Westend location has service hands down and has become the better location as a result.
This was our first time to the new West Edmonton location. We usually go to the downtown location. We arrived shortly after they opened. The salad bar was smaller than the downtown restaurant but still had all the same choices. The servers were very attentive, almost came too often as there weren’t too many other patrons to serve. We prefer the meats a bit more on the rare side but since we were there early, the meats were coming out more well done. It got much busier about 615pm and the meats were more rare. It was still a nice meal, as always at Pampas. I recommend the digestive Liqour 43 after the meal. We used to not get it because it’s expensive but once we tried it, we immediately felt not so full. Now we never leave without it. We will return to the west end location for sure.
Good food, great service. Price kind of hits you at the bill....
All the meats were okay. Some cooked more than they should be. Salad bar was nothing fancy. Looked fancy but pretty limited. For $52.50 I would take my money elsewhere as I do not think the quality is there for the price. Japanese Village is comparable price but quality is a fair amount better along with other places. Drinks are also prices way too high. Getting close to Roger's Place prices.
Took a visitor from the East Coast for dinner because it is so unique and tasty. We all were exceptionally pleased with the entire meal.
If you love meat this is a place to dine. They have a large selection of salads and good soups. All meats are tasty. Didn't like sausages much. Service was great. The owner also worked and served. If you are looking for a new experience this is the place.
Servers were well organized and very friendly . The food was great , as usual . It is an expensive night out but definitely a nice way to treat yourself once in a while.
We enjoyed it very much!!we did find it very expensive . We were 2 seniors , 3 children under 12 and 5 adults . The price per person was very high especially for children and seniors. 18% tip was also excessive .
If you are a meat lover, this is the place! It's like never ending meats coming at you. I would have liked to see some shrimp or seafood as well. Loved the variety of drinks and scrumptious desserts. Service was excellent! Staff are friendly, prompt and go above and beyond with their service!
It's still a lot of money unless you can eat a crazy amont of meat.
We felt rushed by the staff.
Short on refills
Quick to take our plates.
Very good food and service. Like the variety of meats and the authentic Brazilian drinks
We have been to Pampas several times but this was our first experience for the new west end location. I was somewhat disappointed on Saturday evening. I did not think the food quality was as previous experiences nor was the meat variety evident.
