Great food, great location. Expect to be here for a while- it’s a nice cross between casual and fine dining, so the food does take a while to come out. But totally worth it!
Welcoming, knowledgable and kind team, amazing food, killer cocktails, stunning space, dope vibe. All without an ounce of pretension. Pammy's nails it. Will delight even the most particular of diners.
The whole staff was absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable and made our evening extra special. The pastas were delicious. We’ll definitely be back.
We were blown away with the service from the moment we walked through the door! We came only once before for an anniversary dinner 2 months prior, the hostess greeted us, "Welcomed back!" We were shocked that she remembered us, then we had the same food server as the last visit, Ryan, and he remembered how I liked my mocktail + what we had ordered last visit! The food was sooo delicious, we ordered the asparagus with fried smoked mozzarella + meyer lemon citronette, the swordfish with New England corn, habanero sofrita +wild agretti + for desert the blueberry crostata with mascarpone ice cream. All were exceptionally delicious and tasted even better surrounded by the welcoming staff, beautiful decor + fun atmosphere. We felt like guests at a really entertaining party!
Everything was delicious and I love their wine list. Very much looking forward to going back.
Order the tomatoes and garlic toast. They salt the tomatoes and the toast--just like I like it. The drinks are lovely--the bartender even figured out a way to make a non-alcoholic Negroni for my husband (it was the essence of the Negroni without the booze). I preferred my appetizers over my main course (the halibut). The fish was good but didn't wow me, like the tomato appetizer. (I had recently had a fish in a smoky broth with beans at Short & Main that was better, IMHO.) I love the wine list--and that's definitely a bonus for this spot. The entire place feels like a party!
Fantastic -food, exceptional wait staff, really nice energy in the dining room. We will visit again and again.
Superb Italian core but creative. The lamb belly piadina with green papaya + wagyu with xp sauce had really vibrant, fresh Asian flavors.
Excellent date spot. Great vibes and music. Not too loud though. Food was 10/10. A bit pricey but worth it and will 100% go back. Good for a crew of friends too!
I love everything about Pammy’s. The dining room itself is stunning, the hostess, wait staff, general manager and Pammys herself , make me feel so welcome and provide kind and unassuming service. The food is delicious - a well diversified menu with plenty of choices ; but not so many that it’s overwhelming ) depending upon your mood that day. My last dinner was last week - home made bow tie pasta with marscapone cheese, cherries and sautéed mushrooms and herbs ... to die for. For dessert, a beautifully orwsented chocolate mousse with honeycomb. It is the best I’ve ever had . Make a reservation as it’s akways packed!
We had an amazing time. I would highly highly suggest getting the casarecce if it is in season.
the type of restaurant we all want but never get. absolutely love this place.
Pammy’s is unquestionably my favorite restaurant ever. Simply wonderful. The food, the service, the room, everything. Bravo!
We had a 7:30pm reservation, but weren’t seated until 8pm. The staff were very apologetic and kept checking in on us. We ended up having two desserts comped for having to wait. All the food and service was amazing! Would easily come back and bring more friends.
It was great! Food was above great!
We were delighted that every dish the four of us sampled was excellent. The pasta with squid was wonderfully creative, but even the simplest dishes we’re worth returning for. The staff was warm and inviting and our waiter was remarkable in his knowledge of every ingredient we were curious about. And we really tested him!
Service was great, room is buzzing, wanted to LOVE the food after all the hype. In fairness food was good but not EXCEPTIONAL - bolognese a little too rich and creamy for my taste and halibut a little too smoky and salty. I would try it again but not in the category of "can't wait to return".
Great team, lovely ambience, amazing food. The lamb piadini is to die for ♥️!
Our meal at Pammy’s was fantastic. We love good food, and both agreed that this was the best meal we’ve had in years. We sat at the communal table, which at first I thought might be too close to others, but we actually felt very private in our corner. This is a great place for a fancy date night or special occasion.
The food was very good - fresh and seasonal, like many similar restaurants. Not a good place to engage in conversation. The restaurant was extremely crowded and the noise level almost obnoxious (To be fair, it was Friday night and to be expected). But our table for two was situated so close to the other tables that the number of times my son was jostled hard by servers became an in-joke. Our server was so harried, he nearly stabbed my son in the neck with a steak knife while cleaning our table.
Fortunately, Pammy's is located close enough to the hospital in the event of a cutlery stabbing.
It was our first visit and we enjoyed it. The vibe is fun, and the food and service were very good. The noise level, though, was too high.
Just good and tasty, elaborate but not ridiculous. Good size portions, leaving room for one of Pammy's excellent dessert. Super friendly atmosphere and staff.
Absolute delicious. Beautiful space too. Pastas has exactly the write texture, sauces were bright and flavorful. Desserts were excellent. Often we are disappointed by desserts but these were fantastic.
Pammy's never fails to please. I brought friends from out of town and, though our reserved table wasn't ready right on time, the staff was absolutely accommodating and more than made up for the slight inconvenience. All the food and drink was wonderful.
Great food. Outstanding service.. this was our first time, and everyone made us feel so welcome. The pastas were so wonderful. Our vegetarian friends really enjoyed it, and meat and seafood lovers were in heaven. Thanks.
Food was nothing special, disapointing after hearing all the rave about it. Its a beautiful place but thats about that, service and food mediocre!!!
First time dining at Pammy’s- exceeded all expectations!! Met Lauren who runs the wine/drinks program and Pammy herself!! All personnel on the same page- goal is to make sure you have a wonderful dining experience! And the food??? Out of this world!! Quality and presentation is top shelf!! Every dish was an experience in itself!!!
Cannot recommend highly enough!! Can’t wait to go back for our next experience!!
Love this place other than the noise level. It is so loud that it is virtually impossible to have a decent conversation.
Great food. Great wine recommendation. Great night.
This was our third or fourth time at Pammy's — it's easily the best restaurant near Central Square, and I think one of the best across Greater Boston!
I've been to Pammy's for dinner three times, and I've always enjoyed the food, wine and the ambiance. If I weren't a fussy eater, I would have more choices on the menu. This is why I didn't give it a perfect score. I have just had the salads (yummy) and the pastas which are unique and tasty. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is energetic despite being a little noisy. I will certainly recommend it to friends and will dine there again.
The hospitality and vibe of this place, as well as the beverages, are excellent! The food is very good, although not as good as the hype I received. The best thing on the menu is definitely the pork Milanese, and that alone is worth the trip. Our fish dishes were also very well prepared, however, the asparagus appetizer didn't come together as I expected based on the description.
Great place, great service, amazing food. The restaurant has a beautiful decor.
Too loud to have a romantic dinner but might be good for crowds. Maybe they could drop a ceiling over some of the booths. Food was outstanding but noise level will be big factor in deciding to go back or not. I also saw many folks using their cell phone flashlight to read menus. That should be a clue to rethink the lighting
Great food with unique spicing and good service, but not for us. With the communal table in the middle (where we sat), surrounded by tables around the restaurant perimeter, it was perhaps the loudest restaurant we've every experienced. If that's OK with you, I encourage you to visit. We liked the interior decor, but they should have realized their table layout was conducive to noise issues and done something about it. Ironically, we ate in an excellent restaurant in Lenox, MA a week ago that had decorative sound panels on both the walls and ceiling and was very quiet despite the relatively low ceilings.
The best service anywhere in Boston — multiple different staff members continuously touch the table, things come quickly and are coursed to perfection, servers/bartenders are knowledgable about the menu and more than willing to make changes to accomodate. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the food is excellent and the cocktail menu and natural wine list are some of the best (especially considering how concise they are) I’ve seen in Boston.
This is my husband's new favorite restaurant. We had a great meal followed by even better desserts. People definitely know about this place, as it was hopping despite being in an unassuming brick building in Central Square. We also really like Waypoint down the street, but this restaurant is a little lighter and cheerier in atmosphere, and more European in the food vibe. Street parking was easy around 6, but I imagine that it's a nightmare later in the evening.
Food is amazing! My husband and I brought a couple of friends, one of whom was visiting from San Diego and whose son happens to be a chef. She could not stop raving about the food and she is quite a critic. She and I both had the striped bass, the other friend had the halibut and my husband had the swordfish. We all argued over whose entree was the best. Since we all devoured our entrees and never sampled the others, it was a non-contest. I would venture to guess that they were all equally delicious. We also shared the blueberry crostata and the cocoa nib cake - both delightful! And did I mention the cocktails? Joey Takes a Hike is memorable in the best way possible. The wine didn't disappoint either. But even the best of meals can be hampered by sub-standard service. That most certainly was NOT the case. Katie was charming and attentive with a great sense of humor. All-in-all, this was an experience we won't forget for a long time.
Exceptional food and waitstaff to guide u through the entire experience. Second time there, but certainly not the last!
Food is so creative- nothing you would make at home, yet at the same time not overdone and fancy or over-the-top. The waitstaff know their food and the sommelier knows her wine pairings perfectly. Order lots of things to share and enjoy every bite.
Don’t be afraid of the community table- plenty of space to be alone, and fun to meet others and food watch.
