My family was in town visiting from Florida, and my mom requested to go to Pammy's. We loved our experience, dining, and service (by Angie.) Ill keep coming back!
Finally scored a reservation here & it was worth the wait! Great ambiance, sensational food & wonderful service. We came to celebrate a birthday but I’d come back at any time! I’d love to think we could just walk in & grab a seat at the bar.. but due to Pammys popularity that’s probably not going to happen anytime soon. Plan ahead, get a reservation & enjoy a phenomenal meal at Pammys!!
The ambience at Pammy's is wonderful. I had been looking forward to eating here for weeks.
I sadly did not enjoy my meal.
I expected to be able to choose from at least more than one vegetarian entree.
Perhaps Pammy's is better suited for meat eaters.
Dont know why I waited so long to get here because so many of my friends have recommended I go. So glad I did. It was everything and more. Pasta for days. All the meat. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.
Love the buzz!
Too noisy; heavy food
Was looking forward to trying Pammy's. Lots of kudos from the critics and press. Great space but way too noisy. We basically had to shout to get heard. The bass crudo was wonderfully light and tasty. Good botle of wine. But the three pastas we ordered were uniformly heavy heavy heavy. A big disappointment. We ordered the Lumache and the Malfaldine pastas. The sauces were over-thought out, thick, no finesse. Really couldn't finish them.
I had really high expectations for this place being that it has a little hype going. The service was pretty slow, the portions were small, and the food was just OK but nothing to write home about.
Consistently great food and wine choices. Will be back
Amazing food in a beautiful setting with great service. Only complaint was that it was too loud for us to be able to comfortably talk to each other.
Italian at its core, but ever changing influences from different cultures -- currently some southeast Asian influence. Mains tend to be fairly daring and complex with some surprising ingredients. These come together pretty well, though some of the "simpler" dishes like the mussels with squid ink arancini were just amazing.
Everything we ate was awesome and the staff treated us as if it were fine dining. Can't speak highly enough of Pammy's. Definitely a must try!
Remarkably good (especially the cucumber and crab soup)
Nice decor and service
Extremely loud however. Almost impossible to have a conversation without shouting. Should explore solutions for better acoustic and reduce the music level too
This was one of the best meals I ever had. The bass crudo was so fresh and the layers of flavor were just amazing. The lamb belly could have been my entire meal- delicious. The malfedine pasta with rabbit was rich and velvety. The branzino was the best I ever tasted- the skin stayed crispy, the polenta was silky, and the eggplant was great. Quite pricey but worth every penny!
We sat at the Communal Table and enjoyed talking to the people seated next to us very much. My husband thought the wine list was a little too expensive for wines by the glass. We split the cavatelli with mushrooms for an appetizer and that was absolutely terrific! I had the skirt steak for my main course and thought it was good but the portion was very small (and one of the most expensive things on the menu if not the most expensive). My husband had the pork chop Milanese which was a huge portion and he thought it was very good and a little different. We had some sort of almond pastry with strawberry foam for dessert and thought it was just okay. Not sure we are rushing back..........
Our server was incredibly rude to our table. It was a disappointing experience.
Had a really good meal. Creative menu and great service. Something for everyone. Ambiance is fun. Very trendy place.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the ambience. Kudos to some very inventive and knowledgeable chefs. Thank you for what will be a repeat stop with friends and family.
Very good experience - good food but also think I can get the same food in the north end.
A lovely environment visually. Very noisy and with dim lighting which would be romantic for some but looking around meant people had to use their cellphone to read the menu. Very pleasant service which was impressive considering how busy they were. Starter and main were both excellent with nuanced flavors. Great wine. This place is all hard surfaces so any noise and there is a fair bit when its full is amplified. Good for a date if you are a bit awkward with each other as is a lively atmosphere but not romantic in my view. Didn't feel like they were trying to turn tables which is welcome as this isn't a cheap meal and is best savored. I'd go again with pleasure.
We went to Pammy's for our anniversary this past weekend. The food, booze and service were all outstanding. Don't expect any standard fare - picky eaters should proceed with caution - but foodies rejoice!
First time to Pammy's and we loved the decor and ambiance right away. Found a seat at the bar and decided to have dinner there. The cocktails were fantastic, loved the Negronis on draft, and each dish we ordered was better than the next. The Pork Milanese was outstanding!
From drinks to starters to entrees, everything was delicious, creative and interesting. Especially enjoyed the raw brussels "salad" and the branzino. Too bad we didn’t get to try the desserts, but we were too full! Next time, for sure.
Noise Level very high and uncomfortable! Don't understand the small round marble tables. Tiny.
Food and wine were great!
The acoustics make it hard to NOT hear surrounding conversation, our waiter was very good, the wine stewarding sincere—if not a bit carried away, and some of the busboy service bizarre entitled.
Perfect setting for 5 friends, seated at u-shaped table! Friendly & knowledgeable staff, exceptional wait staff!! Wonderful food, especially good pasta dishes, perfectly al dente!!!
Fantastic bar tender - mixed a customized gin cocktail that my entire table decided they wanted.
Three of us sat at a round table. Perfect because one person has a slight hearing problem.
Food was delicious.
My only complaint - too noisy.
Pammy's is an amazing spot. Their homemade pasta dishes are to die for.
Fantastic restaurant with beautiful decor and great food! Loved it!!!!!!!
One of the best of 2018. Great meal from start to finish. We can’t wait to return.
The food was as billed: interesting and delicious - there were multiple choices I would have been happy with. My companion ordered the pasta with rabbit and there were tiny bones in his sauce, which could have been a big problem, but they were caught and the pasta was delicious. I had the vegetarian pasta option, which was also delicious although I would have been happier had there been just a couple of bites more in my bowl. The service was good, although not as attentive as other restaurants that this price point. As with other hip restaurants nowadays, the place seems to think that low light somehow makes for good ambience - it doesn't. It just makes people whip out their super bright phone flashlights to look at the menu and the bill. Please turn up the lights!
Great food, great location. Expect to be here for a while- it’s a nice cross between casual and fine dining, so the food does take a while to come out. But totally worth it!
This is the first review I have ever written as I spent my entire career on the recienving end of these being in the bar and restaurant business for the past 20 years, but I could not let this one go. After our initial drink order took almost 30 minutes, when the drinks finally arrived at our table the server slipped and spilt them all over me. It didn’t really bother me and I felt bad for the girl, but after no one came to visit the table and at the end the drink was still on the check, it made me realize how little focus there was on guest experience, the most important part of success. Along with many other little things that I could have let slide, this situation that could have easily been rectified ruined our entire experience and none of us will be back.
Welcoming, knowledgable and kind team, amazing food, killer cocktails, stunning space, dope vibe. All without an ounce of pretension. Pammy's nails it. Will delight even the most particular of diners.
We went here before going to the show at the Oberon. The bartender and wait staff were excellent. They were welcoming, attentive and responsive to our time constraints, and made excellent food and drink recommendations. The food was exceptionally good. The appetizers--asparagus and lamb pianini. Both were very tasty. The mains -- the branzino with eggplant and hummus and the swordfish with corn. Both were excellent. The swordfish with corn sauce was especially good. I had a mixed drink from the bar, which was very good, and the bar tenders were really fun to talk to. The wines were excellent and a bit unusual. It's a very comfortable place to eat. We will definitely be back when we don't have to go to a show!
The whole staff was absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable and made our evening extra special. The pastas were delicious. We’ll definitely be back.
We were blown away with the service from the moment we walked through the door! We came only once before for an anniversary dinner 2 months prior, the hostess greeted us, "Welcomed back!" We were shocked that she remembered us, then we had the same food server as the last visit, Ryan, and he remembered how I liked my mocktail + what we had ordered last visit! The food was sooo delicious, we ordered the asparagus with fried smoked mozzarella + meyer lemon citronette, the swordfish with New England corn, habanero sofrita +wild agretti + for desert the blueberry crostata with mascarpone ice cream. All were exceptionally delicious and tasted even better surrounded by the welcoming staff, beautiful decor + fun atmosphere. We felt like guests at a really entertaining party!
Everything was delicious and I love their wine list. Very much looking forward to going back.
Order the tomatoes and garlic toast. They salt the tomatoes and the toast--just like I like it. The drinks are lovely--the bartender even figured out a way to make a non-alcoholic Negroni for my husband (it was the essence of the Negroni without the booze). I preferred my appetizers over my main course (the halibut). The fish was good but didn't wow me, like the tomato appetizer. (I had recently had a fish in a smoky broth with beans at Short & Main that was better, IMHO.) I love the wine list--and that's definitely a bonus for this spot. The entire place feels like a party!
Fantastic -food, exceptional wait staff, really nice energy in the dining room. We will visit again and again.
Superb Italian core but creative. The lamb belly piadina with green papaya + wagyu with xp sauce had really vibrant, fresh Asian flavors.
