A glorious spot right on the beach, with tables set in the sand. For a beach-lover, this is a wonderful find. Great food; friendly servers; and a relaxed, casual atmosphere.
Pamala’s has always been our first place to have dinner when we arrive in PR
We were so happy that it was open and the dedicated staff and the creative chef were still there.
We both enjoyed the ceviche , followed by the Tuna for dinner.
Never disappointed!! We will continue to return to one of our favorite restaurants!!
A must try if you haven’t !!
The food is delicious and the staff is terrific!!!
Unbelievable. Great service, Great food, Great drinks, Great price.
Calamari was the best I've ever had. Portions were small though and didn't justify the price. Food was very good and the views were good. Service was decent
Best restaurant and view in Puerto Rico!!!! The food is creative and delicious. Julio is a talented chef!!!
The food was delicious. The flavors were on point and the service was great. We sat outside on the beach and the evening was perfect.
Enjoy the calamari and the margaritas were delicious. Server was very polite and patient while we decided what we should eat. The couscous paella looked delicious, even though I am allergic to shellfish, and the beef roast just melted in my mouth. It was so tender and juicy it just slid off the bone. Definitely a spot to go to for sunset while you are out in Puerto Rico
The food was amazing and the wait staff very personable and honest about their favorite items on the menu.
It is a typical hotel restaurant. Over priced ok food, no soul or passion.
We were looking for a great place to eat outside Old San Juan while we were vacationing in Puerto Rico and found this place through Open Table. The service was phenomenal. Casual, yet very attentive and helpful. My husband had the tuna and it was absolutely wonderful. I had the sweet potato dish and it was great, as well. My daughter's short ribs were also tender and delicious. The wine list, particularly the white, is varied and well-priced. We splurged on key lime pie and bread pudding and both were fantastic. The key lime pie was particularly good as it was very tart and "limey." The presentation in the little glass jar was nice, as well. We started our dinner on the beach, but as the "beachhoppers" (I call them sand fleas) started biting, we moved inside. The staff was very accommodating. I'd recommend a can of OFF in your purse if you plan to dine on the beach near or after sunset. Otherwise, this place is wonderful and charming. It's set back in a gated community, so don't be afraid to go through the gate to get to it. It's worth it!
Pamela's has a great location, service was fine and the food was good, but we found the portions relatively small and the prices high.
Pamela's offered a great view of the beach and tremendous service. The food was quite good as well. For an appetizer, my fiance and I shared the tamarind calamari. The flavors were delicious but the calamari could have used a touch of salt. For the entrees, my fiancee ordered the one of the specials which was the lobster mofongo. The mofongo was made of cassava and was delicious. The lobster was good as well but definitely overcooked. My entree was the lamb chops which were delicious and cooked to my liking. Overall, Pamela's offers a terrific view, great service, and good food. They also have a nice wine selection and full bar, but the beer selection is quite limited. Good place for a romantic date.
Tap water is undrinkable. The grouper (special for the evening) was overcooked and therefore tough and chewy. Sangcocho soup was good. Service was good too.
best dinner of our vacation. worth getting there. food was amazing. my wife had plantain gnocchi which was the best thing we've had in a while. GO HERE!!
Spent a couple of nights in San Juan for my wife's 40th. Slow night at restaurant but the staff was super friendly. Food was good but view is limited from inside restaurant.
Went to Pamela's our last night in Puerto Rico. Excellent on the beach dining. Good food and good service. The only drawback was it was a bit pricey. Still, I'd go again if I was in San Juan.
Awesome little place in ocean park. You can sit on the beach and dine. Food was very good. We had the calamari and fish tacos.
Good restaurant, they didn't have whole snapper on the menu anymore. Fish tacos was great.
Pamela was a perfect spot to celebrate our wedding anniversary! The food was tasty and the presentation was beautiful.
Food was excellent, but the service was even better. This is a must stop for dining on the beach while in pr
On vacation. Lovely lovely spot!!
The staff was friendly and polite. The ambiance was quiet. The view of the ocean was beautiful and calm. I was wearing shoes but everyone else had sandals (which is smart because half the seating is on the sandy beach). Entrees are in the $20-40 range and quite worth it. The food was delicious.
The restaurant is in a gated neighborhood. We told the guard we were going to Pamela's By The Sea and he let us through. We went on a Sunday evening, 8p, in early April. We had no wait to be seated.
The entrance is on the street. You must ring the bell and a guard will let you in. Once inside the door, walk straight (past the guard room and pool that are on the left) to the black glass door which is the restaurant.
I loved this place. Excellent for people watching. My kind of place to eat (barefoot in the sand while watching the sunset). Service was excellent. The food was delicious.
Pamela's is always a go to place for us. The outdoor seating is very popular . The service is always friendly & attentive!
Andrea was excellent, she made great recommendations and we enjoyed our ceviche as our appetizer, the salmon is my husband's favorite and I had the fish special of the day.
Never disappointed with the cuisine. Compliments to the Chef!! Another great evening at Pamela's.
My second visit to Pamelas. The food was just as delicious as it was four years ago. The friendly staff and beuatiful sunset capped off a great dining experience.
Food was delicious! We had yucca encrusted chicken and halibut wrapped in banana leaf. For appetizers we had a steak kabob and a side order of the wonderfully tasty rice. The disappointments were four:
1. We'd made reservation thru OpenTable. As soon as we walked in, we were asked if we'd made a reservation, despite there being one table taken inside, two outside. We observed two more groups come in later in and neither was asked if they had reservations. Lead us to conclude that our jeans and Ts may have made them think we were lost..? Well, we may look raggedy but our money is green too.
2. They take a long time to come back to the table for check and water refills, despite it being nearly empty.
3. Dessert was a disappointment for me, not the hubby or daughter. I had the goat cheese flan which tasted just like cheesecake, including consistency. Hubby liked his créeme brûlée, but it's kinda hard to go wrong w that or the vanilla ice cream our daughter had.
4. Coffee is terrible. Bitter. No amount of milk and sugar could remedy that. My husband suspects it was instant. We normally drink a medium roast, if that helps any.
Again, the appetizers and entrees were exceptional. For the price though, (all came to $144, no alcohol) this will be a rare treat.
Delicious food with great options! Prices are high, but worth it if you like seafood and/or want the view of the ocean
The food wasn't good. The menu was very small. The atmosphere was amazing. Everything else was disappointing.
Such an amazing meal! Thank you so much, the view was incredible, service was very professional and the food was great.
