Food is so delicious
Food was excellent, very high quality and interesting dishes. We had a party of four and everyone got something different and everyone liked what they got. We also got the Queso Fundido which was great. Like the soft flour tortillas vs. traditional fried chips.
Excellent venue -- we sat outdoors at the round table with a brazier which was nice especially on a rather cool evening and it was a bit quieter. Food was excellent and well-presented. One of our diners loved the grilled corn. The tortillas at the beginning were really good and the salsas that came with it were great. I had the carnitas which I would highly recommend. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Parking in the municipal garage was probably the easiest as it is just behind the restaurant.
We dine here a lot! The food is AMAZING- however this time we had a reservation for 6:30pm and had to wait 20 minutes for our table- not sure what the point of a reservation is then? Totally cut into our date night/babysitter time! 😏
This is a great restaurant. Fresh ingredients, great bar, great service. The noise is loud mostly due to its popularity (always busy) and the nature of the construction of the restaurant. Fabulous food, though. A must visit.
Very good but the inside is very noisy.
It was very good dinner we had. Nice food, service and very good decorations.
I love their Mexican food since it’s not typical one.
Service is good too and our server was very polite.
Loved the food and service! Will definitely go back again!
Great spot and amazing food! My sister and I went during lunch on a weekday with our kids and had a great time. Awesome service, too.
Erick our waiter was amazing! Ask for him. We couldn't have been happier with the service and the entire experience.
Bottomless mimosas or champagne for $15!! Great brunch menu, complimentary apple honey biscuits with your meal. Service was great. They have a great dinner menu as well. Will def be back again!
Great people and service! While the name says “Tequila” (and the drinks are very good), for us it was all about the food. Huge menu selection and the food preparation and flavors are some of the best in the South Bay.
I always bring international visitors to dinner here: they can exoerience: Hermosa people watching, great drinks, outdoor dining, fantastic meal, and can walk 20 yards down the plaza to catch the sunset on Hermosa Pier. Pretty damn convenient for an all around experience.
It was delicious, but extremely too loud at dinner time. Would have preferred them to lower the volume on their music. Other than that, amazing!
Very good service, good food (not spicy or exceptional, but solid), nice decor, love the hours (finally a place that does not shut down at 10:00) and local, so easy for us. Bar is a little tight if you just want to go for a drink. Sound level is a little too high, so if you want to have a conversation at dinner, it's tough without shouting.
Great service! Hot bartenders!!
Perfect and extensive list of delicious and inventive cocktails with fresh ingredients. Food is so amazing; try the Chilean sea bass ceviche - best I've ever had. Greatest staff in the South Bay - always attentive, super helpful with recs, and always willing to cater towards the customer.
Came here with some gf’s for happy hour to celebrate my bday. Very lively and fun atmosphere. Delicious food and drinks. Servers were great! It’s pricey but worth it.
Very pricey but worth it as large portions and very tasty food, however drinks are very expensive and small with a lot of ice so not much alcohol for paying $13 a margarita. Bartender and staff are great!! Wonderful service for being very busy (they got hit all at once at lunch time). Gave us special dessert for b-day for free!
Excellent Mexican food, really enjoyed the evening although it was rather noisy with big groups dining. Service was good and helpful
Always a joy to eat here - truly a LA gem and easily the best place in Hermosa! Try a jalapeño martini!
The service by Eric and JD were OUTSTANDING! Food was superb and ambiance was phenomenal.
Great food and drinks. Service is great. Never dissapointed when we go here.
Wonderful food. I had the quesadilla marisco and would highly recommend it. All of my part loved their food. Only problem was the noise level. For a friends' get together, I would prefer a place where you can hear the person next to you.
I was celebrating my birthday and chose Palmilla, again! I love the atmosphere, the food and the staff. It’s always a fun evening at Palmilla!
Went for brunch- food was amazing and bottomless mimosa . Overall a great time. Only bad part was it was really loud inside, felt like we were screaming to have a conversation .
Excellent night out at Palmilla! Great table, great service, and totally inventive menu! Food was delicious and perfectly prepared. The margarita martinis with a little jalapeño flavor were excellent!
Love, love, love margaritas on the Palmilla patio! Quintessential Hermosa Beach.
My grandson, my late husband and I have dined at Palmilla everytime we have visited Hermosa for years. Now my grandson and I are continuing that tradition. The food is exceptional as is the service. I have to avoid wheat/gluten. The waitstaff sees I am served their homemade corn tortillas with appetizers and entrees. I don't know about their flour tortillas, but the corn ones are the best I have eaten anywhere. Try the fish tacos, a favorite of ours, as again, they are the best!
Kitchen closes on Sunday's after 1 and not open again until 2:30, brunch menu only. None of the regular favorite options.
I was on vacation in LA and I went to Palmilla 3 times in a week. Great food and drinks. Really nice looking restaurant and friendly staff.
Local fave, great outdoor seating but just as nice inside when the weather is inclement. They have inexpensive small dishes, apps and also foodie worthy entree's. The prawns are amazing but a bit pricey. Great place, I go often.
Ambiance was great, food was very good. People were very friendly. A little pricey but I can live with that. Only issue was we were told we had to leave before our desert came - they made us take it to go. I spent over $300.00 for dinner and did not expect to be told I had to take my desert to go. Other than that, it was a fun night.
fabulous restaurant with a great staff. Not to miss when you are visiting!
Great drinks, food, and service! Loved the homemade tortillas and served with the honey butter was a different touch. Great team work from the waitstaff. We live out of state, but wished we lived in the area so we could go back and try other items. Saw the Guacamole Festival Tasting pass by and it looked amazing.
Hands down best jalapeño margarita around. The service is impeccable and the food is amazing. I always order the chicken nachos. The absolute best !!! Great way to start my weekend !
We had a great experience. The food was great. The restaurant has a no corkage fee if you bring a bottle of wine from Uncooked, a local wine shop.
Great service and food, maybe a bit overpriced. Their homemade tortillas are amazing!
I made a reservation requesting a high chair. When we arrived, the hostess took us to our seats - no smiles or greeting - and no indication of where we can find a high chair. She then disappeared. Quite a put off. We flagged down a waiter and got directed to where we could get a high chair eventually. The service picked up a bit after (our waitress was alright).
The patio is good for people watching.
The food was good; large portions.
Loved the margaritas.
