Great food and service. Kristen was our server, very helpful with the menu as this was our first trip here. We had the Shellfish Pasta and Imperial Flounder. Best seafood we have found in Lexington.
Great restaurant, attentive service, and a quiet atmosphere. Bartender was also nice and sent over champagne when he found out I was on a first date.
A+!
Very crowded due to outdoor music and outdoor patio bar was not open. We were dining inside and had very slow bar service. Calamari was extremely over cooked, as were two of the scallop entrees. Salad dressing seemed to be from a bottle. Overall the food was just disappointing, especially for the price.
Surprisingly good meal and value in lexington where heavy and fried seem to rule.
Food was good. Service was great. Table we were out at was in a high traffic area. Again the service is great
Amazing food and setting! Also enjoyed some live music while we dined. Palmers was perfect for us to have dinner before the show at COB. Will be back!
Food and service were awesome. One of the best meals I have recently had. Delicious!
Both the service and food were excellent! ! And even though the restaurant was full, the GM came out to check on each table multiple times! The place just keeps getting better!
Food was good as always!!
Really enjoyed our visit to Palmers. It was a last minute decision to go there, but we were not disappointed. Food was good, especially the calamari appetizer. They had one of my all time favorite wines by the glass for a rational price. The server was in training and did a great job of making sure we were taken care of without being intrusive. Very nice stop before continuing on to the symphony. We will be back.
We went on a Wednesday night, and there were only a few other people in the restaurant. It was quiet for conversation; it would obviously be louder when the restaurant is full. The decor is lovely with neutral soothing tones and beautiful art work. Free dessert for my birthday! The salted caramel bourbon bread pudding is to die for, though I wish I had remembered to ask for the ice cream to be on the side (my mistake). Very nice place for a little bit nicer evening out, yet casual enough not to be stuffy.
We went to Palmers for Easter brunch. There were quite a few families with children. The brunch buffet was very good but rather chaotic. The noise level was very loud due to the many children. I am sure evenings are totally different.
Easter brunch was great the buffet options a bit limited on the breakfast side but dinner menu was awesome as always. Staff is fantastic
Always amazing! I have never been disappointed by Palmers.
I really love this place. Had the fish and chips last time and the salmon this time. My wife had the porkchop. They were just wonderful. If you are in Lexington KY, this is an easy decision.
We had dinner at Palmers Friday evening and it was fantastic. I started out having the Crystal Cosmo and I think it was probably the best cosmo I have ever had! Our group tried several appetizers including the bourbon barrel cheese dip and the hush puppies - they were both great. For dinner we were all over the board with fish tacos, hamburgers and the bacon wrapped filet. Everyone was very happy. We ordered a side of smoked gouda grits and they were to die for! We will definitely go back!
Fried cod was very good but too salty, next time leave water pitchers. Hot Brown simply not up to Kentucky standards. Hot Brown was a failure. Coffee ☕️ was fresh and delicious 😋!
Lots of conversation so it was loud. Tables are kind if close together and felt like we were in an aisle (probably an effort to get as many in as possible). Excellent service.
The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered the shrimp street tacos, the mini burgers, and the beer cheese and ate every bit of it!
This was our first visit. The restaurant had extra appeal because it's located next door to the Comedy Off Broadway club. A reservation for 5 on Friday turned out to be unnecessary, but we always gravitate to locations that accept reservations. Our server was friendly, efficient and informative. We made an effort to sample as many things as possible since we live about 75 miles away. We started by sharing the meatball sliders with chips that resembled Chex cereal. If you like flavorful food, this is your spot. Everything is seasoned and very tasty. I had the beer battered fish with coleslaw and fries, my wife chose chicken fettuccine with steamed veggies. She was pleasantly surprised when they granted her request to leave out mushrooms. The meal was topped off with a piece of key lime pie. I had leftover fish the next day for lunch and my wife left with as much food as she had at the restaurant. We'll be back again...especially when the weather warms and they have live music!
Meeting old friends
In Lexington for a tour of the Woodford Distillery St. Patty's weekend, this restaurant was close to our hotel and we came in for an early lunch. It was really good! The location was beautiful, the decor was beautiful, a really serene atmosphere. And look at all those Angry Mussels! I ordered the Caribbean Tilapia which was delicious. Our server was attentive and polite. Really great food and service. Will certainly eat here again when we're back in town!
Food was excellent. Service was spot-on. No hovering, but never needed for anything. Quiet. Very easy to carry on a conversation. The menu is not younger-kid-friendly. This is definitely an adult-menu and not normal casual fare as you'd find in a chain. Reasonable prices given the quality of the food.
Our server was great, even suggesting the grits instead of rice for the special étouffée which was incredible! The decor and ambiance are so great there! One of our favorite Lexington restaurants.
Very nice waiters, they were smart and helpful. The food was amazing, I had the rib eye and the crab cakes which were tasteful. My wife had the burger.
However I gave them 4 stars because of the receptionist, she was rude, she kept telling us that there were no tables available even though we could see there were at least two empty ones. May be it had to do with the fact that my wife wears a headscarf.
My husband and I were here because of the menu of seafood, I had the scallops which was wonder and cooked to perfection. My husband had the shrimp and grits that had a touch of spice and was an absolute delight. To top the meal off we finished with the bread pudding and if at all possible you must save room for this, it was a good thing we could not be seen eating it. Albert was our server and he was very good with suggestions and making sure we were taken care of.
Had reservations and got seated 10 minutes before. Service and food was was a 9 1/2 out of 10. We will be back.
Very nice for the most part. Excellent food, fairly quick service. One issue was atmosphere, it was very clearly mostly couple's going for a late Valentine's meal, but there was a table of what appeared to be high school boys who were screaming and cursing and being obnoxious. Obviously I'm not saying they should have been turned away, but I feel like the staff should have told them to please quiet down. It's hard to have a romantic dinner when a child is throwing the "F bomb" out every few minutes a couple feet behind you.
Beer battered fish was very good.
Fantastic meal from start to finish. Wine, appetizers, entrees and dessert. The Bourbon & Salted Caramel Bread Pudding is incredible! Loved Palmers!
Food and service was absolutely wonderful! It was my first time there and i will definitely be back
Valentibes
The service was great and the food very good. Wife had to send chop back for more cooking. The menu has changed since our last visit and has fewer fish dishes, but more of other things. Shrimp lettuce wraps were messy, but tasty. Overall a very nice Valentines Day meal with my wife.
Valentines Day. Excellent night!
Night before Valentine’s day. Had a nice, quiet, totally enjoyable time. Food was great - every aspect of it.
We love palmers and still the same after our last evening there! Food and service is as great
Early Valentine’s dinner with my daughters. This was our first time dining here, service and food were both excellent.
The food and service was terrific. Great drink menu to boot! I would love to come back in the spring and sit outside
My wife and I both had the Imperial Flounder and it was AMAZING. She had the Creme Brûlée and I had the Bread Pudding and both were out of this world!
Delicious, I had the Grilled Salmon Salad, the salad is huge filled with the freshest lettuces and tomatoes, but the size of the salmon filet is the largest portion in the city, I bought half of it home for lunch the next day. The service was outstanding
